    After leaving the blackthorn-carstairs family without saying a word, Kit Rook was taught the ways of being a shadow hunter and being able to use his magic. When his adoptive parents, Jem and Tessa went missing, he was forced to watch over his little sister Mina, what he hadn't told anybody, was that Jem and Tessa had been missing for over two years. He'd sent letters to the Clave and did what he could, but ultimately, Kit had to take care of a baby, when they Blackthorns finally come to visit him in Devon, they're shocked by what they see.

    (This is a rewrite of a story a made a few months back actually it was last year if I remember correctly.)
