"suguru! can we hold hands?" satoru exclaims. they're having their day off from school and fighting curses so they decided to just wander around the city.
satoru's love language is physical touch. he loves keeping close to suguru, poking his arms, cheeks, holding his hand or just sitting right next to him, feeling their bodies touch.
suguru doesn't like physical touch. but satoru is the only exception. he always lets him hold his hand or whatever he wants to do. but one thing about satoru is that he will always ask if that's definitely okay with suguru. and suguru appreciates that.
"yeah, of course," suguru holds out his hand, letting satoru take it in his own. he actually loves feeling satoru's touch. he loves his warmth and the comfort it brings him. and they don't care if people look at them weirdly. it doesn't matter. after all, they're the strongest, they can easily scare them off.
satoru takes his hand, caressing getou's knuckles with his thumb. he always does that. and suguru always melts at this feeling.
lately, suguru has been feeling different around satoru. each time he touched him, he felt his body getting warmer, his cheeks almost turning red. and he felt a weird sensation in his stomach. he didn't understand that feeling. but it was definitely nice.
he held gojo's hand tighter as if scared that he might let go of him and never come back. satoru turned around when he felt that and he let out a little "huh?" looking at suguru. but then he turned back like it was nothing.
"where do you want to go?" he asks, "the arcade maybe? or the mall?" he smiles widely and suguru feels his heart flutter.
"the arcade sounds good," suguru nods, smiling back. his smile isn't as wide as satoru's but it's definitely here, "but be prepared, i'm gonna beat you this time," he lets out a soft laugh, recalling the last time they went to arcade and he lost.
"sure, suguru," satoru rolls his eyes, pulling him towards the closest arcade. he obviously doesn't believe that getou will ever win against him.
"whatever," suguru pouts, following him.
they enter the arcade and satoru is in awe. he loves places like this. full of colors, lights and loud. suguru hates loud places but they become quieter when he's with gojo.
they exchange their cash for the tickets necessary to play and they choose the game they played last time. it takes them quite some time, a lot of screaming and aggressively punching the pads to finish it.
"i told you i'll win this time!" suguru shouts in excitement, seeing the big you win on his screen.
"yeah, i guess you did, congratulations," satoru smiles, seeing his face. he actually let him win this time just to see his joyful expression. but he will never tell him that. or even admit it to himself.
they spend half an hour in the arcade, playing different games before they decided to go and grab something to drink. they go to the nearby vending machine and pick out soda for each. suguru laughs at how satoru always presses more keys, hoping he will get more than one drink at once.
"you have to stop acting like you don't know it's not gonna work," he hits the back of his hand with his palm lightly, laughing louder.
"ouch! you're being mean, suguru," satoru groans, massaging the back of his head.
"it's your fault you turned off your infinity," he's got a point. but satoru always does that when he's with him so that he can touch him.
"if i had my infinity on we couldn't hold hands," he points out and suguru feels warmth spread through his chest. just the thought of it makes him feel things.
"yeah, whatever," getou rolls his eyes and grabs his drink, opening it. satoru looks at him with a mischievous smile and after suguru takes a sip of his drink, he takes it from his hand and also tastes it.
"indirect kiss!" he yells, laughing as he watches suguru's face turn red.
"you're annoying," getou takes his drink from him, gripping it tighter so this time gojo won't be able to steal it so easily.
"you love me, suguru," satoru teases and laughs harder, seeing his reaction. suguru just rolls his eyes again and lets out a quiet sigh.
i guess i do, he thinks to himself, i guess i do.
was it really what he felt? was it a crush? it couldn't be. he can't have a crush on satoru. anyone but not him. because he'll never like him back. there's not a single chance.
he lets out another sigh, this time more nervous, as he follows gojo to the mall. he sees him stretch out his hand to him and he hesitantly takes it. he shouldn't be doing this. not if there's a chance of falling harder for this moron. but it's satoru. the guy who absolutely loves touching and suguru doesn't want to make him sad by rejecting his touch. seeing him sad would break his heart.
they walk into the mall, still holding hands. suguru feels many of eyes on them but that only makes him tighten his grip on satoru's hand, showing him it's okay with him. satoru smiles under his breath, winking at him.
they wander around the shops for almost two hours. satoru buys a pair of sunglasses similar to his so that he could give them to shoko since she always steals the ones that he's wearing.
suguru has never felt so relaxed as he is now. just walking around the mall, holding satoru's hand. it's all it takes to make him feel better.
on their way back to jujutsu high, satoru calls out his name and, pretending he wants to tell him something, he kisses his cheek. suguru pushes him away, feeling his cheeks turn bright red. gojo giggles at his reaction and takes his hand again, putting his head on getou's shoulder.
suguru doesn't know if he's ever gonna confess his feelings to satoru but just being near him makes him feel more alive. just spending time with him means so much to him. he's never been happier.
