The squeal of laughter lights up the yard as little feet splash across the tarp, water streaming on the splash pad as three little tots spin around one another, one blonde, two dark haired kids that are the spit of Alya and Nino. Alya, Kagami, and Chloé are sitting at a small table with a wide umbrella overhead, while Marinette exits the door of their small house, placing drinks on the table, while Jason follows with a plate of veggie burgers, sporting a "kiss the cook" apron as he presses a kiss to her forehead. Dick and Nino are chasing after the toddlers, causing more squeals of laughter to sound as Marinette smiles at her husband, reaching up to cup his cheeks, kissing him firmly on the lips.
"How's the new house?" Chloé asks as she waved Jason away, trying to swat him to shoo him from their conversation.
"A little out of place, a little empty. Shadow loves the yard." The large wolf in question let's out a soft huff from where he's curled up under the table.
"Empty?" Kagami asks, and Marinette smiles.
"Roy has been off doing stuff with Lian, so they haven't been by to visit, and with you all traveling the world, Jay and I are left to our own devices." Marinette shrugs.
"Sorry, I'm late!" The voice piping up from the gate as it open, makes them all look at them, and Marinette frowns.
"Kim?"
"Yeah."
"Didn't know we were expecting you?" Marinette's voice pitches into a question as Kim leans down, pressing a kiss to Kagami's lips, the fencer returning the kiss with a soft smile and a blush.
"Uh... since when has this been a thing? Girl! Spill!" Alya giggles and elbows Kagami insistently, who's blush worsens.
"Remember when we first visited Mari-himi?"
"And you said you were dating someone we knew?! That was almost four years ago!" Alya's eyebrows shoot up in surprise.
"Congratulations you two." Chloé pipes up. "Surprised that this fool managed to keep his trap shut about it."
"Hey! I can keep a secret!"
"Uh-huh."
"What's that supposed to mean, Marinette?!"
"Nino's tenth birthday party."
"That was an accident!"
"Soup's on!" Jason hollers, and suddenly Nino and Dick are dashing across the yard with arms full of toddlers, making everyone laugh as Kim plops down beside his girlfriend, accepting a beer from Jason as he places the burgers down from the grill. "Veggie burgers on the left, regular burgers on the right, and "dot dogs" for the little ones." Jason settles beside Marinette at the table as she smiles at him, leaning on his shoulder as he links their hands together.
"Mari, where's your drink?" Kim asks, and she looks around, frowning.
"I think I left it on the kitchen counter."
"No problem, I'll get you another one. Beer?"
"No, thanks, I don't drink." Kim frowns as everyone looks at Marinette in confusion.
"I've seen you drink before, Mari." Chloé states.
"Yeah, babe, it's okay to cut loose. We're at home." Jason says, and Marinette blushes, dropping her gaze.
"I meant to say... I can't drink." Stunned silence falls over them all, before Jason looks at her with wide eyes, and a slowly growing smile.
"Really?" Jason's breathlessly excited, his hands coming up to cup her cheeks. "I mean... really really? We're pregnant!?!" She feels heat flooding her cheeks as she gently nods, and he hoots, leaning in to kiss her again. "We're havin a baby!" Cheers erupt from their friends as does laughter when Marinette squeaks as Jason picks her up, standing as he lifts her in the air. "I'm gonna be a daddy!"
"Be careful!" Marinette laughs, leaning down to kiss him sweetly one more time.
"I'm careful. I'm careful." He sets her down, wrapping her in his arms. "God, do I love you."
"I love you too."
