“That vase is older than I am and if you throw it I will be very displeased.”
Armand was, in fact, halfway to displeased already. In the last two minutes, Daniel had thrown several abstract metal art pieces and a potted plant across the penthouse living room while calling Armand every name under the stars.
Daniel lowered the vase a little and put his free hand to his mouth in mock disbelief. “Do you hear that, guys? The boss is going to be displeased. Better start running while you still can.”
He really was being excessively childish.
Being shitty is how Daniel copes, and while Armand might not approve, he does understand. In which two old men test each other’s patience and (very slowly) learn to communicate their fears.
