"I am fucking freaking out here man. How can I be in this situation today How did I fucking got here???!"
Sukuna, standing in front of his mirror, looks at his reflection while his little brother adjusts his tie. Yuuji looks rather relaxed, even very happy for his big brother who, after years of chasing after women, has finally found the one who suits him, who calms him down.
Uraume is a very special woman. Although very small and very quiet, she has a way of dominating Sukuna and keeping him under her thumb that escapes Yuuji. In over twenty years of existence, he has never seen anyone manage to dictate conduct to his brother.
"You're a lucky man, marrying Uraume is the best thing that could happen to you. Trust me, no other woman out there wants to marry you.
- Shut the fuck up I am supposed to be the star of the day.
- Uraume is, you're just an extra."
Yuuji starts laughing as Sukuna starts chasing him around the hotel room. Sukuna and Uraume have decided to get married in spring, under the trees that are regaining their color and the flower buds. At last, Uraume has decided. Sukuna could marry her in a garbage can in the middle of summer. He loves her so much that it doesn't matter. As long as he's with her, nothing else matters.
Yuuji is proud of his brother. And even though he thought Uraume was a bit strange at first, in the end, he gets on really well with her. At the same time, without this girl, Sukuna would still be tormenting his little brother.
Once at the altar, Sukuna is very nervous. The echo of the church's stone walls and all the murmurs of the guests only make him more anxious. He fidgets with his sleeves and rocks from one foot to the other. Sweat beads on his forehead. The very idea of marrying Uraume makes him panic. What if she decided not to marry him anymore? What if she'd found someone better?
Maybe it's not too late, maybe he can still run away. He takes a step out of the way and a hand comes to rest on his shoulder. When he turns around, he's faced with Yuuji's big smile, pointing to the church's front door.
The organ begins to play, and suddenly time stands still. Sukuna's eyes widen as he sees his future wife walking up the aisle with Megumi, his lifelong friend. Uraume, with her beautiful, immaculate white hair flecked with burgundy.
Her fine face, hidden beneath her thin veil, is a magnificent beauty. Very light, very sober make-up. Her lips are filled with an almost unreal blood-red, the hem of her mouth drawn with such finesse and precision that the color of her lips looks natural. Her eyes are highlighted with just a little mascara. The pink on her cheeks is natural, making her look like a young girl in bloom.
Her dress... Her dress is a thing of beauty. Sukuna had spent lavishly on this wedding, money he doesn't have. But this day is so important, he wanted the best for her.
A strapless dress with a puffed skirt, full of lace and meticulous finishing touches. White gloves came up to her elbows and her bouquet of red roses added just the right amount of color.
Sukuna feels his heart swell with happiness and pride. She's his wife. His. His bride, his spouse, the one who will share his life from this moment on.
Once she reaches his level, Sukuna lifts Uraume's veil with one hand and is struck by her beauty. How much he loves her.
Yuuji leans over his brother's shoulder and, still wearing his best smile, whispers in his ear.
"She's so pretty... You're so lucky...
- Fuck yes I am! She's mine ! Back off loser!"
Sukuna's voice echoes through the church and all eyes turn to him. But Sukuna only has eyes for his wife, who smiles at him and brings her hand up to his face to caress his cheek. Sukuna closes his eyes for a second and feels a gentle warmth flow through him.
Time stops again, and all he can see is his wife's smiling face. She still has that shy, very calm look on her face, and Sukuna knows that's how he fell in love with her.
"When I first saw you Ura, the first thing I said to myself was "I can fuck her"... I was wrong. I rowed and rowed to get you. After a while I didn't even know what to do, I didn't even know why I was doing it. Because you seemed to be taking the piss out of me. And I know that's what you were doing. But there was no way I was giving up. For the first time in my life I'd found a girl I wanted to keep by my side. So I kept rowing. And it finally paid off, after a long month. But it was worth it. Uraume, you're the most perfect woman this world has ever borne, and I'm just a lucky bastard because you deserve so much better than me. It's a good thing you never realized it. I love you and I promise to love you all my life and beyond, to take care of you, to be an exemplary husband and to make you happy every day."
Sukuna smiles, a charming smile, his signature smile, and Uraume laughs softly, she knows very well that Sukuna gets flirty whenever he feels uncomfortable. Yuuji grins broadly as soon as Sukuna says his vows, he's definitely not used to hearing his brother being sentimental, and across the way he spots Megumi pulling a handkerchief out of his pocket.
"Sukuna..."
Uraume had never been much of a talker, and the mere fact that she'd wanted to recite vows to her husband meant a lot. Sukuna had told her she didn't have to, but she insisted. A small look of discomfort could be read on her face for half a second, but it dissipated very quickly.
"I love you Sukuna."
Uraume smiles at his love's shocked face. Sukuna freezes, tensing up. Never in their seven-year relationship had he heard Uraume tell him he loved him. He suspected she did, or she wouldn't have stayed with him, but she'd never said it. Sukuna felt tears welling up in his eyes. He'd never realized how much he longed to hear those words come out of his love's mouth. Today, he's a fulfilled man. She may never tell him again, but at least he got to hear it once.

"Remember when you said you loved me?
- That was five years ago, Sukuna...
- But you did !!! I will never forget that. You love me, you sap."
Uraume rolls her eyes and sighs. They're both sitting on the sofa, looking at their wedding photo album. Uraume has no family of her own, but with Sukuna's, she's always felt very well cared for. Especially with Megumi, who has always been there for her, ever since they were children. She considers herself lucky to have married Sukuna, but there's no way she's going to tell him. She watches her husband, now a thirty-year-old man, get excited about a phrase she said five years ago, and realizes how happy she is.
"Here that baby ? Your mama is so in love with me"
Sukuna leaned over Uraume's rounded belly, then came to rest his head on her thighs. Having a child wasn't in the cards, because she didn't want one. But when she found out she was pregnant, Uraume loved this baby even though it hadn't yet formed.
Sukuna's baby. The one she loves.
"I thought Yuuji could be the godfather. And Megumi too. Uraume puts a hand on her belly.
- Megumi okay, but Yuuji? No way. He'll rock him too close to the wall and make him stupid.
- Anyway, they live together now, so I might as well name them both. Besides, it's my baby, I'm the one who decides."
Uraume doesn't raise her voice, she ends the discussion and Sukuna doesn't try to argue again. What his wife wants, his wife gets. Sukuna never goes against Uraume's wishes.
With his head resting on her thighs, he looks at his wife's face with a gentle smile. Anyway, if anything goes wrong, he'll kill his brother himself. And as he scans Uraume's face, one image keeps coming back to his mind.
"I'll never forget how beautiful you looked on our wedding day. How every little detail was there only to accentuate your beauty, not to hide a flaw.
- Here that baby ? Your dad is a sap..."
Sukuna smiles and straightens up to take Uraume against him and place a light kiss on his temple.
"I love you so much, Uraume. You're the best thing that happened to me."
