    "But he is!" Xie Lian exclaimed, the explanation doing nothing to ease his confusion. "He's beautiful!"

    Just an idea I got from a post I saw on Twitter from @arctvros, about Hua Cheng being actually hideous and just appearing beautiful in Xie Lian's point of view.
