Work Text:

Jamie Joshua Ramsey returned home after spending the day with Sam Manson. She was a friend to his friend Ceci's little brother Danny. However, it was plain to see she had quite an attitude and needed serious talk regarding that.
He felt the Ancients wanted them to spend the day bonding. He hoped he'd given her some good advice. He knew you couldn't force people to change. Nevertheless, he did hope she'd at least try his suggestion. He removed a journal from his bedside table and began to write down his POV of today's events.
"Well, again, everything happens for a reason. I don't doubt the Ancient's reason. Nor do I question Yahweh's motives, either. I'm sure; He also works with the Ancients to maintain balance in the universe.
Anyways, Sam does have some toxic behaviors. However, she's not so far lost; she can't overcome them with a bit of guidance and swallowing her pride. She is the first Jewish friend I've made. I don't know if there are more Jewish kids at school. All I know is if there are, I've not encountered them. As for Sam's problems?
Well, it took some time for my parents to accept I'm gay. But they didn't throw me out on the street. Nor did they call me an abomination in Yahweh's eyes. They're okay with it in a week. So I strongly believe with the help of a family therapist, Sam could also have a productive talk with her parents. They need to lay it out on the table. Proper communication and active listening would greatly benefit her entire family.
She only says she's Goth to annoy her parents. Again, they must talk about the issues and work them out healthily. My parents have always taught past foster kids taught them how to discuss their problems with others correctly. I do hope Sam takes that advice to heart. That she also slowly corrects her behavior to be a better friend. I don't think she's a lost cause. But she could use some help from both Yahweh and a therapist if she wants things to get better.
After this crisis, Sam and her friends can come to watch the next musical we're doing at school. We're doing "Rent," and it'd be nice to have them come visit for it. Like we'd like to visit if they have something special in mind. Well, that's all for now. I better get cleaned up for dinner."
