Summary
After Lewis had been quite offwarding towards him after the Australian GP -or as Max had put it 'a massive asshole'- Max thinks the alpha doesn't like him. It leaves him frustrated as he had in mind to court the alpha but fortunately there's Daniel who tells him what might be the actual reason for Lewis's grumpiness. It changes Max's plans of wooing Lewis completely.

"Our dear Sir Hamilton is approaching his rut."
Max needed a few seconds to realize the sentence and what it meant and suddenly it was like his throat was constricting, cutting off the air supply. If he had been drinking something right now he would've definitely spit it out right away.
"Rut?" he asked an cleared his throat when he heard his own wheezy voice.
"Yes. You know, the time where alphas want to fuck everything that's not on a tree on three? They get a knot and-"
"I know what a rut is!" Max interrupted him, hating the feeling of his cheeks heating up, "How do you want to know that's the reason. And why would his rut make him act like this?"
"Ah well, that's quite something intimate. I should've told you sooner." Daniel sighed, rubbing his hands together and his words sparked irritation in Max.
