   Summary

   The longer they went without knowing about Aaron, the more eerily familiar it all felt. It was the thing they weren’t saying: that last time this happened, they lost someone. Last time this happened, it had taken everything in her to get back up again.

   So he’s doing everything he wanted to do for her, last time. Pulling her into his arms, pressing his face into her hair, not letting go unless he absolutely has to – because this time is different, in some ways. This time, he can be there for her.

   This time, they have each other.
