There are bright flashing lights everywhere and you can feel the music pulsing through your feet. Everyone is loud and stranger dancing everywhere. Wednesday scanned around the room, she had come with Enid but had seemingly lost her in the crowd. The place was very dimly lite and you could make out key areas like where the bathrooms were and the bar counter.
Wednesday was not 21, but Yoko had made fake IDs for Wednesday, Enid and herself to get them into the Bar this night. Wednesday had regretted coming. She could not handle all of this noise and stimulation and she had no idea where her friends had gone. Wednesday was wearing a loose fitted black hoody on a grey t-shirt and long black pants and combat boots. She was carrying a black backpack. She walks over to the counter and groans looking at the skinny bartender standing behind it.
He immediately notices her and smiles as he walks over. "How can I help you my beautiful"? Her eyes narrow "Give me an old fashioned!" she demands as she pulls out a 10$ bill from her jacket pocket and sets it on the table. "Don't suppose you have Id there darling"? he is smiling a toothy grin as he leans over the counter looking at her. Wednesday reaches into her pocket and pulls out her wallet, which has a chain which is attached to her belt loop. She pulls out the fake ID and puts it on the counter. The man picks it up and puts it to the light. "Ah, this aint real? How old you really girly"?
Wednesday groans and grabs him by the shirt collar "Listen you imbecile, I got dragged here by my friends. My friends who I cant find and I really cant handle this much stimulation. If you do not give me a drink right now you are going to figure out what a mistake that was. I am NOT a person you MESS WITH". The Bartender puts his arms up "Woah Woah woah! Calm down there. If you want me to risk losing my job, you better convince me".
Wednesday scowl disappears and she lets go pulling out a different card. A black card and slides it over "Charge whatever I order to this and add whatever tip you like". He looks down and picks it up "A black card, damn girl how much money you got"? She sighs "I come from a very rich family. Now can I get my drink"? She asks. The boy smiles "Sure thing little lady! Anything you Want!" Wednesday grabs a stool and sits down. Her feet do not reach the floor. The man gives her a short glass with her drink and an ice cube shaped like a ball. Wednesday downs it "Give me another"! The man eyes widen "Well.. Okay than lady! Didn't take you as a professional!"
He makes her another and she instantly down its. "Thank you" He frowns and looks at her asking "Is Everything okay"? Wednesday frowns "Doesn't matter, why do you care anyways"? He smiles "Thats my job, im the bartender!" She looks down at her glass and exhales "I didn't even want to come to this. I can never seem to say no to her. I can say no to everyone else but she is the one person who can convince me".
The bartender expression changes to one that seem contemplative "Who is she"? The young goth exhales "Its my roommate". He smiles a soft smile as he puts his chin on his palm, the other leaning on the counter "Why do you think that is"? Wednesday brow furrow in a thoughtful expression "Im not sure. Every time she seems upset its just unbearable".
He raises a brow "Do you not care when others are upset"? Wednesday shakes her head "Of course I don't. The rest could drown in a hole and I would laugh." He looks at her "you seem to care about this girl a lot don't you? Would you ever consider dating her"? He asks. Wednesday eyes widen and her expression is one of shock "WHAT? Why would I?.. She has a boyfriend". He laughs and that "Yeah, but what if she didn't"? She shakes her head "I haven't considered it. She could do better anyways." He smiles as he raises both his eyebrows "Oh, is that so? Why though"?
Wednesday looks up at him "May I have another drink"? he smiles at her and makes another drink and slides it over to her "Sure thing there girly"! He seems genuinely interested in the conversation with her. "Im bad at making freinds. Shes a sociol butterfly. Everyone likes her. She could do better than someone like me."
He smile at the young Raven haired girl sitting before him "Well, she clearly cares about you enough. Maybe you should start judging your value based on the people who do care about you. The Popular kids might be liked by everyone but the unique ones make a difference. Which one do you think you are"? Suddenly the conversation when Wednesdays phone vibrates loudly in her pocket. She pulls it out and checks the alerts. She got three messages from Enid. She opens them.
Enid: Hey, Dude where you at? I think we lost you?
Enid: Dude, im worried? Are you okay?
Enid: Wednesday! WEDNESDAY!
Wednesday sighs looking down at her phone "Oh, she was looking for me?" Wednesday texts back telling them where she is.
Wednesday: I am at the bar, near the entrance. I may sneak out the back. This place is too stimulating.
Enid: No don't do that! I'm going come find you okay? Just stay put
Wednesday: Fine, I guess I will bear it a little longer.
"Did your little friend text you"? He asks with a smirk. He is now standing up straight behind the bar and takes the black card and charges it at the register. "She is looking for me". After a minute a young blonde girl shows up and wraps her arms around Wednesdays neck "Wednesday! I FOUND YOU!" she says excitedly and than notices the drink.
Yoko shows up shortly after Enid. Yoko looks over at the drink and smirks "Aww, getting drunk without us Wednesday? How rude!" Yoko says jokingly sticking her tongue out. "You guys can order whatever its on my tab". The bartender and Wednesday give each other a glance and he nods. "What will you ladies be having"? He asks them. Enid smiles looking over at Wednesday "Will you come dance with me"?
Wednesday frowns "Oh, I don't.. I" Enid smiles widens as she waits in anticipation. Wednesday exhales and says "Yeah, ill go dance with you". Wednesday grabs the drink and downs it real fast. Enid smiles and squeals "Come on!!! Come on!" Enid smiles grabbing Wednesdays hand and drags her away back into the crowd. Yoko looks over at them and smiles "Bloody Mary? Virgin please"?
The Bartender looks at her surprised. "You not going to order any alcohol"? Yoko laughs "Naw, I dislike alcohol. I sure Addams was over here ordering the hardest stuff you got cause Shes nervous.
The bartender raises a brow "Why would that girl be nervous"? he says looking in the direction of the crowd. "I dont think this is really her scene and she only came because Enid begged her too. Enid can convince her to do literally anything! Don't tell her I told you but I think she has a bit of a crush on Enid". The bartender looks over putting the bloody Mary in front of her. "Enid is the perky Blonde"? Yoko smiles and nods "Yup! Shes one of the nicest people ever!" Yoko smiles "Oh, I love these. Only thing that could make it better is Blood!"
