In the year 1233 Pope Gregory IX issued a papal bull linking cats to satanic worship and witchcraft. Throughout the following hundred years cats were subsequently distrusted and their populations purged throughout much of Europe. Some scholars believe this directly lead to the rise of The Black Death there, which ultimately killed half of the continent’s population.
Wednesday sees fit to rescue and take in a cat that crosses her path and Xavier discovers that he is, in fact, a cat person.
