Summary
He couldn’t focus on his responsibilities, mind hundreds of miles away. He lashed out at anyone who dared to get in his way, his temper a live fuse and he was liable to blow at any point. He couldn’t sleep because the second his eyes closed his mind flashed with all the possible horrible things that had happened to his sergeant.
Ghost could tell he was losing it, but he couldn’t find it in himself to care. All he wanted was for Soap to be by his side again, safe.
The higher-ups were being strategic about the situation, not letting their emotions cause them to act irrationally.
The same couldn’t be said for Ghost.
Because if he had the chance, he would be on a plane right now to look for Soap himself. He would trek through the snowy wilderness, not stopping until he found him and made sure he was alive.
or
Soap goes dark and Ghost comes to realize how difficult it is to be away from him.
