Day 6 - Post-Canon / College
"Mizuki! Hey, there you are!" Ena waved them over as they brought their suitcases over.
"I missed you." Mafuyu smiled softly at them, "do you need help?"
"Nah! I'm good! Thanks though."
"I missed you as well, Mizuki… how was highschool?"
"Hehe, I missed you all too! Highschool was sooo boring! I missed seeing Rui in the halls or Ena after school." Mizuki pouted.
"Yeah, yeah. Well we did call you, y'know?" Ena smiled, crossing her arms.
"Yes I'm not denying that~! But I'm glad we're finally together again. You think we'll have time to resume work for Nightcord?"
"I think so…" Kanade said.
"Hopefully." Mafuyu nodded
"I'll show you to our room and help you unpack. Then we can all give you the house tour." Ena said, opening the door to their house. Mizuki followed her inside,
" "Our" room?" Mizuki asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Did I not mention that we're sharing a room?? Kanade and Mafuyu are too."
"No one mentioned that! Though, I'm not especially opposed, hehe."
"Didn't think you would be." Ena led Mizuki to their room, opening the door. "Why did you bring two suitcases??" Mizuki raised an eyebrow again.
"And you're telling me you didn't?"
"Okay, I did , but did you have to??" Ena let out an exasperated sigh.
"Of course I did! I had a lot of important stuff I needed to bring!" Mizuki put their suitcases in the corner of the room and sat down on the bed. "Can't believe I'm in college now…"
"I feel you. It was very hard to process for me too." Ena sat down beside them.
"Yeah, no shit. I bet. Still… so much has happened since we first met. Since Niigo was first formed… It's hard to believe we're all in college now." Ena nodded.
"Yeah… and we're all much happier too. Mafuyu's finally free from her mother and is able to do what she wants, Kanade's dad is out of the hospital and she's taking way better care of herself, I… sort of patched things up with my dad. Though we still don't always get along. Plus, I haven't fully forgiven him. And you…" She looked at them.
"Me…" Mizuki repeated, smiling widely.
"I'm so proud of you, Mizuki. Thank you for telling me."
"To be honest, I never planned on telling you - I didn't think I was going to."
"But you did. You did, and I really am proud of you."
"Yeah… I'm glad I did. And I'm proud of you too, Ena. Really."
"Hah. Thanks. The point is, we've all come so far. It's amazing."
"It really is… oh! Ena~ Now that I'm here, you owe me a buncha cuddles and kisses!"
"Hah? Hey, you ruined the moment!"
"I'm sorry , that I missed my girlfriend so much!"
"I missed you too. I'll help you unpack, and then we can cuddle."
"Awh, come onnn~ Not even a small kiss now~? Fine then." Mizuki pulled Ena close, kissing her on the cheek and wrapping their arms around her.
"Wha— hey! You need to unpack!"
"That can wait! I wanna spend time with you and the others first!"
"Shouldn't you pack first so you don't have to worry about that??"
"Hmmm, solid point…"
"See—"
"I'd still rather spend some time with you first!" Ena sighed exasperatedly, but fondly.
"Okay, as you wish, Mizu." Mizuki pulled away, grinning at Ena.
"Hey, Ena…"
"Yeah? What's up?"
"I… love you. Hah. Finally said it." Ena grinned back, taking one of their hands.
"You did. You've changed so much, I'm so proud. And I love you too."
