Day 7 - Free day! (Lycoris Recoil AU)
Mizuki smiled, seeing Ena appear at the broken window as she swayed slightly on her feet and began walking inside the building. "Heh. I'm glad." Mizuki’s brows furrowed when they noticed Ena’s expression, however. They immediately picked Luka up off the ground, “Go!” they said, urging her to run away. At that, Ena began to run, grabbing a gun off the ground and loading it, beginning to fire at Luka and Gakupo, an expression of pure rage on her face. Mizuki ran over wrapping their arms around Ena, hugging her tightly.
“Ena! That’s enough!”
“Fuck, let go of me!!” She exclaimed, trying to slip away from Mizuki’s grasp. The two sink to the floor. “The heart!! It’s fucking— It’s getting away!!” Ena fires at Gakupo and Luka again as they both exit the building.
“Ena… If I live by killing Gakupo, that… that wouldn’t be me anymore.” Mizuki said, and at that, Ena stops struggling, her arm falling to her side. She rests her forehead on Mizuki’s shoulder, breath hitching.
“No…” Ena murmurs.
“It’s impossible for me to live in Gakupo’s place.” Mizuki’s grip around Ena loosens, but they’re still holding her.
“I— I don’t fucking want that.” Ena’s voice breaks. “I don’t want you to die…” Mizuki smiled softly,
“Aha… Thanks.” They place their hands on Ena’s shoulder. “But… I’m someone who should no longer be here.” They pause. “Because Gakupo kept me alive, I was able to meet you…” “And… It’s not just me, y’know? Everyone has to say bye at some point. Though… that isn’t today, is it?” Ena looks up, opening her mouth to respond when a gust of wind hits from outside hits the two of them, a helicopter raises itself to their level, the door swinging open. Rin sticks her head out,
“Hey! Are you two alright?? Meiko won’t shut up so hurry! Gah… there’s so much wind, my mouth and eyes are dry now…” Mizuki chuckles softly, standing up and extending their hand to Ena. She takes it, swaying slightly on her feet. The two board the helicopter and sit down, placing hedphones over their heads. “There’s are request for you.” Rin says, small “click!” noises coming from her laptop as she types. Mizuki stares out the window.
“A request?” They ask. “Huh. Rescuing the Lycoris? Who’s request is that?” Rin shrugs, not looking up.
“You can ask Kaito about that.” Rin doesn’t look up from her laptop.
“Oh! Where is teach anyways?” Mizuki asks, leaning forward.
“Said he had something to do. He also asked me to give you this.” She pats the briefcase beside her. Mizuki reached out to grab it, placing it on their lap and opening it, grinning,
“Yooo, magazines! Sweet. I accidentally dropped my bag so these are totes helpful!” They pick one up out of the briefcase.
“I’ll hold on to it for you..” Ena offers, holding her hand out. Mizuki placed the magazine in her hand, grinning at her.
“Cool! Thanks, Enanan~!”
“This is the request, by the way.” Rin turns her laptop around so that the screen is facing Mizuki and Ena. The words “A SHOOT-OUT IN THE TOWER?” displaying on screen as footage of some of some Lycoris in the broken tower shows.
“Shit!” Mizuki exclaimed, “Everyone knows about Lycoris now! The hell should we do??”
“The DA plans on getting rid of all Lycoris at Enkuboku…” Rin mutters.
“Hah???”
“All Lycoris?” Ena asks, “How?”
“The one’s who do that kinda stuff…” Meiko speaks out.
“Are Lilybell…” Mizuki finishes, sighing exasperatedly. “If anyone’s gonna hunt Lycoris, it’s definitely them.”
“They often dropped by the cafe in the past to murder Mizuki!” Ena’s gaze flitted from Mizuki to Meiko, staring at the two inridiculously.
“Why’d they stop coming?” Rin asked.
“The old man and Miku negotiated with their bosses.” Meiko responded. Rin smiled.
“Miku’s a good person.” Mizuki furrowed their brows,
“We have to help DA now.” They said, “Shiho’s group is in trouble.”
“What’s up with Radiata’s cover, hm?” Mizuki asked,
“Currently down from a malfunction,” Rin answered. “Must be Robota.”
“Then there isn’t anything we can—” Ena starts.
“Nah, there is.” Rin cuts her off. She tosses a USB stick to Mizuki. “Stick this in Enkuboku’s control room aaand I’ll somehow make it work from there.”
“But since Radiata isn’’t working, we won’t have a camouflage.” Ena said, crossing her arms.
“Pshh, that piece of junk?” Rin rolled her eyes, “Heh,” she smirked. “Leave everything to Orange.”
“So!” Meiko spoke out, “What’s the plan, Mizuki?” Mizuki grinned, closing their hand around the USB stick.
“Hehe, LycoReco’s back in business baby! Let’s go~!”
“Haha! Bring it on!” Meiko exclaimed. Though, Ena’s expression turned downcast in a matter of seconds…
