Chapter Text
Throughout her career as leader of the Special Ops Division, Colonel Hedervary kept on her person, an item she deemed essential in the management of her team.
Roderich's seen it, Gilbert's seen it, even Antonio's seen it. Yes, good old Antonio from the Navy section, bumped into the wondrous sight of Elizabeta pummelling Gil with said object when he popped by to catch up with the latter, once.
It would perhaps be a better bet at this point, to ask who in the office has not seen it yet.
The object in question itself, is a simple but beautiful black velvety hardback with gold-trim edges and bold silvery flower prints, dripping in elegance.
The words inside are similarly spelt out in calligraphic cursive, black-inked, all written using the same complementary black and gold fountain pen.
Elizabeta calls it her agent spellbook.
- Agent Jones is the Number One Ace Pilot.
- Agent Williams is a close second.
- The rest are evenly spread out.
- Agent Williams is best at bomb defusal. Or detonation, if needed.
- Agent Kirkland is the in-house coder.
- Agent Bonnefoy is the in-house puzzle master. Give him the most complicated of all locks, and it'll be opened in no time.
- Agent Braginski is the best close-quarters combat personnel on the team.
- Agent Wang is the sniper of the team. Her target practice score at graduation broke the previous record, and has remained unbeaten for the past ten years (and still counting).
- Agent Kirkland sometimes reverts to driving on the left side when under extreme fatigue and/or duress. His (car) crash count is the highest out of everyone.
- Yet even so, Agent Kirkland drives most of the time when going on partnered missions. Simply because Agent Wang doesn't like to drive.
Ten. Ten wonderful secrets of her agents.
And that was just one page of many.
