Colonel Hedervary's Diary of Secrets

Summary:

Elizabeta's diary, containing her agents' rarely known quirks and secrets.

Part of the Spy AU series.

Notes:

A.K.A. Allied Six Headcanons that I couldn't quite find the chance (nor time) to write into Mission Fics / one-shots.

Also, the obligatory reminder to kindly note the tags - Yao is officially female here.
(Btw if I sound like a broken record, I'm sorry. I didn't want any new readers to be caught off-guard, that's all. ^^|||)

(See the end of the work for other works inspired by this one.)

Chapter 1: The First Ten (to start things off)

Summary:

Secrets, secrets, where art thou?

Notes:

First of all, I'm sorry I've been away for so long. As you guys may have already known (from my earlier complaints), I've had three concurrent big projects going on in my life, which took up a lot of time.

Either way, this is something I have had in mind for a while now, something I feel is short and simple and easy to write, but still conveys my thoughts and headcanons across. It's free and easy, I don't know when the next part (if there's even a next part) will be out, time-efficient, and a good way to summarise trivial facts without having to write a full mission.
Something light-hearted to stand in between my (increasingly lengthy) updates for Before Crescent, basically.

I had a lot of fun writing these, lol. XD
Hope you'll have fun reading them, too!

Chapter Text

Throughout her career as leader of the Special Ops Division, Colonel Hedervary kept on her person, an item she deemed essential in the management of her team.

Roderich's seen it, Gilbert's seen it, even Antonio's seen it. Yes, good old Antonio from the Navy section, bumped into the wondrous sight of Elizabeta pummelling Gil with said object when he popped by to catch up with the latter, once.

It would perhaps be a better bet at this point, to ask who in the office has not seen it yet.

The object in question itself, is a simple but beautiful black velvety hardback with gold-trim edges and bold silvery flower prints, dripping in elegance.

The words inside are similarly spelt out in calligraphic cursive, black-inked, all written using the same complementary black and gold fountain pen.

Elizabeta calls it her agent spellbook.

  1. Agent Jones is the Number One Ace Pilot.
  2. Agent Williams is a close second.
  3. The rest are evenly spread out.
  4. Agent Williams is best at bomb defusal. Or detonation, if needed.
  5. Agent Kirkland is the in-house coder.
  6. Agent Bonnefoy is the in-house puzzle master. Give him the most complicated of all locks, and it'll be opened in no time.
  7. Agent Braginski is the best close-quarters combat personnel on the team.
  8. Agent Wang is the sniper of the team. Her target practice score at graduation broke the previous record, and has remained unbeaten for the past ten years (and still counting).
  9. Agent Kirkland sometimes reverts to driving on the left side when under extreme fatigue and/or duress. His (car) crash count is the highest out of everyone.
  10. Yet even so, Agent Kirkland drives most of the time when going on partnered missions. Simply because Agent Wang doesn't like to drive.

Ten. Ten wonderful secrets of her agents.

And that was just one page of many.
