*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
Izuku’s eyes shot open and he attempted to reach his arm to slam his alarm and turn it off. Attempted being the key word because both Ochako and Momo were each wrapped up against one side of him, meaning he couldn’t really move his arms. A few seconds later, however, the two began to stir, Momo asking, “Izuku, my darling, why must you wake up so early every day?”
Ochako answered for him, “Momo, this is Izu we’re talking about, he does everything Plus Ultra.”
Izuku finally managed to get the alarm turned off and embraced his two girlfriends for a moment giving each of them a quick kiss on the forehead, then used Float to extract himself from between the two. Ochako and Momo both let out cute upset noises as he left them but soon they embraced each other and began to drift back towards sleep. As he exited their bedroom, he looked down at his phone, the date was July 15th.
Ochako waited five minutes after Izuku had left their bedroom before both she and Momo sprung up. Ochako frowned slightly, “Do you think he forgot again? We’ve been reminding him for weeks.”
Momo nodded, “It must be the case, he’s clever, but this isn’t something he’d joke about forgetting. However, we did plan for this eventuality, we’re now going for plan C.”
Ochako nodded, gave Momo a quick kiss, and the two got to work.
Izuku cut his workout short. The entire time, something was nagging at him like he was forgetting something. As he walked back into the apartment he shared with his girlfriends, the answer became clear. A banner in the living room that read “Happy Birthday Izuku!” and there was the aromatic scent of breakfast being made in the kitchen.
Right… it was his birthday today, wasn’t it? Despite everything that happened during their three years at U.A. Izuku was still adjusting to having people actually care about him. However, before he could continue his inner musings, his two girlfriends entered the room, both surprised by his sudden appearance. Momo said, “Izuku, we weren’t expecting you back quite so soon, we had thought you’d be out for at least another 15 minutes.”
Izuku nodded, “Well, my gut kept telling me I was forgetting something.”
Ochako decided to take a chance and butt in, “So you really did forget your own birthday again?”
Izuku’s expression fell at the frowns that donned both his girlfriend’s faces. He rubbed the back of his head, “I guess I did for a moment, but,” he pulled out his phone and looked through his schedule for the day, “I don’t think I would’ve forgotten for long.”
“Ya damn right!” Ochako shouted as she pulled him in for a kiss. Izuku wrapped his arms around her and let the kiss deepen. A couple moments later, he released Ochako and turned and gave Momo a kiss as well.
Once his kiss with Momo had concluded, she spoke up, “Well, now that we’re all on the same page with what’s happening today, Izuku, my darling, go take a shower so we can have breakfast.”
Izuku nodded and made his way into the shower. As he showered, he tried to figure out how to make it up to Ochako and Momo for forgetting his birthday. Knowing them though, that wouldn’t be hard. He re-entered the living room and saw the kitchen table covered with mountains of food, set for the three of them, and Ochako and Momo already seated. Izuku sat down and the three of them dug in.
Momo was satisfied with how the day was going so far, while there was a little hiccup at the start with Izuku forgetting about his birthday, the time since has gone rather swimmingly. Now the trio were making their way to Musutafu to see Izuku’s mother, something which everyone was excited for. As they walked up the stairs, Momo leaned into Izuku’s side, which he returned by wrapping his arm around her, pulling her into a side hug.
When they got to Inko’s apartment, Izuku knocked on the door, and the three of them listened to the sounds of racing footsteps before the door slammed open to reveal Inko. She then tackled Izuku in a hug, and cried out, “My baby! Happy birthday, Izuku!”
Izuku, still lying on the ground, hugged back, “Thanks, Mom.”
With that, Inko got up, dusted her apron off and turned to Momo and Ochako and hugged both of them, “Momo, Ochako, it’s so lovely to see you two too. Have you been keeping him in line?”
Ochako left Inko’s embrace, flexed her muscles, and said, “Better believe it!”
Inko smiled, “Good. Now, all three of you, come inside, there’s someone else who wants to see you.”
Izuku eagerly sat down on the couch, with Ochako and Momo on either side. Then, the sound of small footsteps came from down the hallway where his old room was, and out from the hall came Eri, wearing a Dekiru onesie. She ran over to him and hugged him, “Papa Dekiru! You’re here! I can’t wait to-”
Eri was interrupted by Mom, who said, “Now, now, Eri, wait a little, then you can tell them.”
Eri pouted, but complied and climbed up onto Izuku and settled in his lap, as Mom sat in the armchair, and asked, “So, how have things been for you three?”
Ochako sighed, “I don’t get enough nights with both of these two at home to cuddle!”
Momo nodded, “Our schedules are rather… erratic, but that’s what happens when we were all so highly ranked after we first graduated, especially because a certain someone was declared the Number One hero.”
Izuku felt four sets of eyes on him, and his cheeks flushed, “W-w-well, what were you expecting after… everything in the war, from Gunga, to UA, to Shigaraki, to…”
Izuku felt the tears in his eyes begin to well up as he remembered All Might. The former Number One had survived the final battle, but not before getting another major injury that left him wheelchair bound. Unfortunately a few years later, shortly after the three of them had graduated and moved in together, the brilliant blue eyes that had once belonged to the greatest hero, faded. All around him, Izuku was suddenly embraced by his girlfriends, his mother, and the child he’d rescued and considered his daughter. Ochak spoke up, “We miss him too, Izu. He gave so much for all of us, and I’d like to think that he’s watching us from up there.”
“Indeed, but, today is not for dwelling on the past, it’s for looking towards the future. Eri, you said you had something to show us?”
Eri let go of Izuku, and he could see her bright red eyes sparkle as she darted down the hall and into her room. She came back holding a big envelope, and handed it to Izuku. He opened the envelope and pulled out the stack of paper, read the header, and asked, “Is this real, if we both sign this, it’ll be official.”
Ochako looked over his shoulder, “What are they, Izu?”
Izuku showed the papers to Ochako and Momo, “They’re adoption papers, with this, Eri will officially be our kid.”
Both Ochako and Momo squealed at the prospect of Eri coming home with them. Besides, they had the space for her, they’d converted the second bed into an office space that the three of them could use if they had to work from home on a day off, but it could easily be repurposed into a bedroom for Eri.
Izuku, Ochako, and Momo all signed the papers without a second thought. Then they saw that Eri had already signed the papers, meaning it was official. At this point, Mom spoke up, “Well, now that you’ve gotten your first big gift of the day, you three should head out, Eri still has to pack and I’m sure there are other people you have to see.”
The trio left Izuku’s former home and made their way towards another area in Mustafu. As they made their way to their next destination, Ochako got excited. A little tradition the trio had made was whenever they went to Mustafu together, they’d always go back to the mochi shop where they’d gone on their first date shortly after the first semester exams during their first year. Ochako had been so nervous about the prices, and Izuku and Momo had spent close to ten minutes assuring her that they didn’t mind if she splurged once in a while.
When they entered, Momo said, “Izuku, go find us a table, Ochako and I will deal with getting our order. Izuku looked around and noticed their usual table was vacant so he went and took a seat there. A couple minutes later Ochako and Momo returned with a couple full plates, there was the usual green tea, peach, and sakura mochi they’d get, along with what seemed to be some kind of special birthday mochi. The four of them then dug in, savoring every bite of the dessert. As they walked out, Momo let out a satisfied sound, “Ah, the memories of that place. I still love that we keep coming back here.”
Ochako nodded, “Yeah, there’s somethin’ about it that always makes me feel fuzzy, ‘specially when y’all are with me.”
Izuku giggled, “Chako, you’re letting your accent slip through a little.”
Ochako crossed her arms, “So what if Ah am? Ah’m with mah two favorite people! I’ll talk however Ah want.”
Izuku and Momo both laughed at their girlfriend’s strong will, as they all boarded a train back to their apartment in Tokyo. Halfway through, Ochako and Momo had both fallen asleep, each leaning their head against Izuku. Izuku wasn’t too far behind them, when he got a text, he opened it to see it was from Jiro, it read:
“Happy Birthday, Green. Denki and I wish we coulda seen ya, but here’s some VIP tickets to one of our upcoming shows. Hope you’ll be there.”
Izuku smiled, the three of them would have to make sure they got time off to go to the concert. Izuku then looked up at the map, they had a bit before they’d make it to their stop, so he leaned his head against Ochako’s and joined his girlfriends in blissful sleep.
Danger Sense was going off. Why was Danger Sense going off as he approached his own apartment? The answer became apparent as he opened the door, and was greeted with a cacophonous “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
Inside were Jiro, Denki, Shoto, Tsu, Tenya, Katsuki, Eijiro, Mina, as well as his mother, and Eri. All of them had shot off party poppers when he entered, and Eri proceeded to come up and hug him. Izuku looked back at Momo and Ochako, who both flashed him a smug smile. He brought them in and gave each of them a quick kiss before all of them joined the party.
…
The party had been an amazing time. Between the amazing cake that his mom had made, the gifts from his friends, and the amazing moment of seeing Ochako drink Katsuki under the table without breaking a sweat, his birthday had turned out pretty well, despite almost forgetting about it this morning… that reminded him. He walked into the office that was about to be converted into Eri’s bedroom. He looked around before he found the custom figurine All Might had given him for his 18th birthday. He picked it up and pulled out the bottom to reveal two small velvet boxes, one pink, one red, and pocketed the two of them.
The party continued late into the evening, the last to leave was his mom, leaving only, Ochako, Momo, Eri, and him. Eri had fallen asleep an hour ago, and was currently cuddling her giant Dekiru plushie on the couch. Izuku decided now was the best time, and pulled Ochako and Momo out onto the balcony. Both of them were a little confused, then he answered their silent questions, “The past four years with you have been… magical wouldn’t do it justice, you two helped me when I was at my lowest, and gave me hope when I had almost none, and before you say that I did the same for you, I know but I just want you to know how much it meant to me. The three of us, we’ve been through it all, and well,” he pulled the boxes out of his back pockets, and offered them before the two girls he loved with all his heart, “I was thinking we could-”
“YES!” Ochako and Momo both shouted before grabbing him and each kissing him deeply. The three of them smiled as they walked inside.
As they did, Izuku silently admitted, this was his best birthday ever.
