Would You Trust Me If I Told You It Was Just A Summer Thing?

Summary:

They've always loved each other. Mutually pining after each other since the ages of 5 and 7. But leave it up to the youngest Fisher brother to rip into this love and complicate things. But as they all grow older, things seem different. Harder. More broken.

Notes:

Hello guys!! This is my first fic over her on AO3 after years of using Wattpad (and I can definitely say that it's way better over here). Spelling mistakes will probably happen and updates are gonna be slow because I have softball, field hockey, and honors classes. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! <33

Chapter 1: Prolouge

Chapter Text

The four of them are sitting at the dock off the beach house. Jeremiah is sat next to Steven, the two of them planning on what they are going to do later, ice creams in their hands. Conrad is sitting with his ice cream, chocolate with chocolate jimmies, unlike the rest. He is staring at the sailing boats making turns in the ocean. Then sits Isabel, or Belly as they call her, licking her ice cream. She's staring back at Conrad, smiling her toothy grin, pink braces on every tooth. Conrad looks back at her, adjusting his glasses before doing it to hers as well.
"Kids! It's time for bed!" They all collectively turn to see Susannah back at the house. Belly grabs Conrad's wrist, looking at his watch to see it was 9 o'clock.
"Excited for your 13th?" Conrad asked, smiling at Belly. He was referring to her birthday coming up next week, where she finally will become a teenager. All three of the boys were older than her, with Conrad being the oldest. Steven followed him with Jeremiah behind.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" She laughed, playing with her two braids with her free braid. "Are you?"
"Yeah, of course," He smiled, licking his ice cream.
"Kids!" Laurel yelled. "Come on!"
The four of them scattered up from the wooden dock and started running towards the house. Fireflies light up the sky as the waves crashed against the shore. Summer was magic.
