Freddy and Zack were both very excited about the soon upcoming of the Battle of the Bands, this was there 4th year of doing battle of the bands, but the since Dewey just had a major health issue, he couldn't help us to get ready, which sucked.
Usually before rehearsal Freddy, Zack, Lawrence and Katie would show up around 30 minutes early to get some extra practice. But Lawrence had something going on with his family and Katie, no clue. It was just the drummer and the lead guitarist for the time being.
"So you just wanna hang until 5 or you wanna do something besides spinning your drumsticks?" Zack questioned him
"It's up to you man, you the main dude now." Freddy rolled his eyes
"What's up with you today, you seem upset?"
"It's just... We're so close to the Battle of the bands, Dewey is at the hospital so is Ned, Katie and Lawrence aren't here, and I can't get this solo perfect, it's driving me crazy!" Freddy slammed his drumsticks on the floor tom.
"Do you need help with your solo-" Zack offered
"You can't help me! It's not gonna help." Freddy huffed
"Well maybe I could if you gave me the chance to learn."
" You don't understand what playing the drums does to you... All you know is about stupid guitar."
"Guitar isn't stupid Freddy, the thing that's stupid is that your not letting me try to help you."
"I don't need help Zack, I'm perfectly fine without needed anyone's help."
"You sound like you needed help so that's why I offered, don't need to be a dick about it."
"I'm not trying to sound like a dick!"
"Well your definitely acting like one." Zack Turned away and a Freddy crossed his arms.
Both the boys sat in silence for about 29 seconds reflecting what had just happened.
"I'm sorry Freddy, I shouldn't have called you a dick."
"Sorry for taking my anger out in you, you were just trying to me help me."
"Thanks Freddy, your a great friend when you want to be."
"Thanks Zack." Freddy got up from his drum throne and walked over to Zack to take off his guitar to hug him. Freddy wrapped his arm around his back and Zack returned the hug. They stayed like that for a while until.
"Sorry I'm late..... Did I interrupt something?" Katie finally got here.
