His fist only grazes the guys’ chin. Knuckles connect against Jess’s jaw. Not three seconds later, his right arm is twisted uncomfortably behind his back, and Jess is eating dust on the sidewalk. There’s a knee in the middle of his back, below his hand.
At that point, Jess knows two things to be true. One: he’s fought Dean Forester before, and the guy can’t spar half as well. Two: which means, the guy sitting on top of him isn’t Dean Forester.
