"So, are you gonna help me or not?" Asked the tall, purple haired teenager.
The light pink haired giggled, finding amusement in their old middle school friend's seriousness. "Of course I'm gonna help you, Rui! How could I not, when you're head over heels in love with Tsukasa, hihihi~"
Rui inhaled and nodded in a 'thanks' gesture before starting to speak, well, at least trying to speak if the school bell hadn't rang and cut off his sentence just as he was about to speak. How lame.
"Sorry, Mizuki! Gotta go, hehe. Thank you for listening to me and accepting to help me! You too, Nene!"
The grayish green haired girl only nodded, feeling embarrassed by the presence of the light pink haired because of their lack of communication.
"No problem, Rui! Take care~" just as they said that, they left the cafeteria to go to their next period of... Geometry? Seriously?
As the last period came to an end, Rui immediately flashed in front of Tsukasa's class and barged in, receiving a few looks from people, one of them being the teacher.
"GAH! What are you doing here, Rui!? The bell just rang!"
Rui only giggled, not really caring about anyone looking at him weirdly. He got used to it anyways. He held his hand out for Tsukasa to grab, smirking mischievously.
Tsukasa sighed and held his hand -more like his fingertips but whatever- and grabbed his bag, looking at Rui expectantly.
"So?"
"We have a practice today, remember? Oh no! Our dear troupe leader doesn't care about us to the point he doesn't even remember our existence, how unfaithful of you, mumumu..." And there he was, once again guilt tripping Tsukasa. Hell, he even let out a crocodile tear to convince him!
"H-HUH?! I never said I forgot it! I was just surprised, you know? You literally barged inside! I thought something serious happened, like literally!" Shouted the blond, clearly not believing Rui's lie.
"Oh woe is me! I shouldn't have assumed anything like that, it's so rude and unladylike of me..."
Tsukasa raised a single eyebrow, "You're not a lady, though."
Rui gasped and put his free hand on his own chest, where his heart should be. "You think I can't be a beautiful lady? You're so cruel, Tsukasa-kun! I will scrape this conversation into my brain and cry myself to sleep knowing you don't think I'll be a beautiful lady, waaah...!"
"I— What are you even talking about? I never said anything like that! I am so sorry miss lady, you're the most beautiful ladiest lady I've ever laid my eyes on! Happy now?" Tsukasa pouted and started to walk towards the gate with Rui, still holding his fingertips.
"The sarcasm makes you sound like an homophobic." Rui said in a serious tone, even though he was fighting himself not to burst out laughing. He just wanted make Tsukasa a little worried, that's it!
"Wha- no? I am not a homophobic! How could you say that when I am literally— OUCH!!" That dumb blond hit his head to the light pole in front of him, then started to throw off curses at it. Meanwhile Rui was laughing till he shed multiple tears.
"Rui."
He was looking at Tsukasa while the blond was going through the script of their next show Rui just finished to write last night, taking in all of Tsukasa's expressions. He loved how he was so expressive, he was full of emotions!
"Rui?"
The way he was holding the papers so carefully and his well-cared hands... He wanted to hold his hands, compare their hand size, examine them; kiss his fingertips, nails, knuckles, palm and just— everywhere! He was fighting the urge to hold his hands because that'd be weird to hold his hand out of nowhere.
"Rui!"
But hey, they held hands this morning, no? Could it be called holding hands when Tsukasa only held his fingertips and dragged him across the school to Wonder Stage and complained about the poll the whole road, then only left his hand when they reached there. Rui blushed unintentionally remembering how heated his hands were unlike his own cold ones, biting his bottom lip to somewhat stop the hot feeling spreading on his face.
"RUI"
"GAAAH I AM SORRY MOMMY I'M GETTING UP N— Nene?" Rui literally jumped out of his seat, completely taken aback the sudden yell of the future diva.
"Who the fuck you calling mom to? Do I look like a mother? I am younger than you, giraffe." Nene scoffed.
"Wow. Thanks Nene, so kind."
"Yeah, whatever twink. I accepted to help you about your big ass crush to Tsukasa with Akiyama-kun but stop this nonsense. Like bro, you've been watching him for like, three minutes, I don't know?? Get a grip of yourself, damn."
Rui laughed at their tone and just as he was about to reply, they heard the groan of the blond.
"Rui! Change roles with me. I do NOT accept to play this!! I am not gonna wear a dress. You wear it!"
"Aww come on! Why won't you? After I worked so hard for the scripts, mumu... And hey! You'd totally pull it off, like believe me. You have a kind of feminine body, I don't know? Haha! You'd be an amazing girl now come on!"
Tsukasa looked mad— no, sad about the fact? Rui wasn't sure why, maybe because he made a comment on his feminine body? But it wasn't something to be ashamed of, right?
"But I don't want to..."
Rui immediately got up and put a hand on Tsukasa's shoulder when he heard his voice was a little broken like he was about to cry, then he was met with the teary eyes of the blond. Uh-oh.
"Hey, hey, hey! I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I do not plan on making you do something you're uncomfortable of, I would gladly accept to change the roles. I'm sorry- for commenting on your body, really. Please forgive my ruthlessness."
Tsukasa felt ashamed of expressing himself so much in front of the troupe members other than Emu spesifically- he felt closer to her than the other members since Rui and Nene were most of the time in their own world and made insides jokes about their childhood, so Tsukasa and Emu were a little left out, leading the both of loud teenagers to bond a form of closer friendship.
"It's okay... It's not something serious! As much as the unstoppable future Star I am, I sadly have to decline your kind offer of me wearing a dress! I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing it so, sorry! Ah-ha-ha!"
Rui nodded apologetically and patted Tsukasa's shoulder, then going back to his seat.
Emu jumped on Tsukasa and hugged him, then looked over to Rui and Nene.
"I think since we changed a big thing off the script, we should call it a day and practice our sentences at home today! Don't you think so too, Rui-kun, Nene-chan?"
Three of them nodded and Emu got off of Tsukasa, going to backstage. "Change back to your casual outfits and go home, bye-bye everyone! Wonderhoy!"
"Goodbye, Emu-kun! Take care!"
All of them went to changing rooms and Rui tried to start a conversation, still feeling bad for making Tsukasa sad like that.
"Hey, um... Are you feeling better? You don't like, hate me or anything, right? I am sorry."
Tsukasa took a deep breath and smiled to him.
"Rui, it's okay! I just kinda didn't expect it and I am aware of my body. I'm not mad at you and of course I don't hate you! It's just.. I.. aaah! Nevermind! It's not important, please don't think about it further!" Said the blond and made one of his signature poses, then ruffled Rui's hair.
Rui blushed slightly and nodded before turning to his back to change his clothes. Tsukasa changed his immediately and sat on the floor, folding his costume to put it in his bag.
After they changed to their casual clothes, all of them waved to each other and went down to path to their home, only exception being Rui and Nene walking together to home since they were neighbors. Meanwhile Tsukasa also walked to home since his house was near unlike Emu's, who had to take the bus.
When Rui and Nene were walking together in silence, Nene suddenly let out a big sigh which made Rui look at him with questioning eyes. "What's the problem, Nene?"
"How are you even planning on confessing? I mean, okay, I accepted to help and so did Akiyama but what exactly is your actual plan? As a director, you should have something in mind and you should start directing us already." Said Nene bluntly, waving her hand in front of her face because of the hot weather.
Rui thought for a moment and giggled before starting to explain his plan. "So firstly..."
"I'm ho~me!" yelled the blond with peachy tips, taking off his shoes and placing them on the shoe shelf.
"Welcome Onii-chan!"
"Welcome Tsukasa-nii."
Tsukasa smiled and went to them immediately, hugged them both and stretched while letting out a little yawn. "I ruffled his hair today!!"
Both Saki and Toya gasped with closing their mouths, making a shocked expression. "You did?!" They said at the same time, just like they greeted their older brother when he got home.
"Yes! It wasn't as soft as I was imagining it and it was kinda oily like after that hard practice yesterday where all of us were coated in sweat and he still hadn't showered so it was kinda disgusting and his hair was uncombed and I literally felt some dandruff in deep—"
"Wow, onii-chan, is this your way of showing love or what?" Saki giggled.
"I was just getting to the good part where I would say 'but it was still nice because it's Rui' but you cut me off! Hmph!" Tsukasa crossed his arms and pouted, tapping his food to the floor.
"I think you should ask him to come over so we can have a beauty sleepover, onii-chan." Said the split haired boy, feeling kinda worried for Rui for his apparent lack of hygiene, thinking it might be something serious than just being lazy.
"Ha-ha-ha! Good joke, my dear brother!" Tsukasa beamed and patted his head.
Saki huffed, also crossing her arms like Tsukasa earlier did. "It was a good idea though! That way I can get to know your husband better, you know?"
Tsukasa slightly blushed at the remark but didn't dwell on it, then yawning again and saying that he will shower and change to his pjamas to get comforter. When he came down, he saw Saki and Toya snuggled up to each other, going through social media on Saki's phone together.
"Look at what he posted, oh my god!"
"That's a no, ouch! Who would wear that?"
"Right, ototo-kun? Being a celebrity doesn't give you the right to be this bad at fashion! At this point just hire someone for combines!"
"That outfit is giving a 'walking red flag' like you say, onee-chan."
Tsukasa giggled at them, went to kitchen and prepared to cook dinner for three of them. When he was finished, he yelled out 'kids' before both Saki and Toya rushing to kitchen.
"Wash your hands first sillies! Go to bathroom, now!"
Saki and Toya sighed in defeat, then went to bathroom to wash their hands, ending with Saki splatting some water on Toya then running to Tsukasa immediately, hiding behind him. Toya came running down, looking like a wet cat.
"Saki-nii." Said Toya bluntly, sending out a tremble down to Saki's spine. She gulped then waved her hand slightly, still hiding behind Tsukasa— oh he sat on the chair now, avoiding both of them.
"Oh my dear sweet little brother I love so much, yes?"
Toya sighed and held his hands a little high to also splat Saki, then he suddenly didn't, but rubbed his wet hands on both her face and neck, making her shudder. "Don't get me wet again. You thought you ate??"
Tsukasa burst out laughing all of a sudden, making both of them jolt. "W-wha— Pwhahaha! Did- did Saki teach you that? A-ahaha~ha! My stomach hurts, haha!"
Toya blushed and just sat anyways, Saki following after him, then all three off them started eating 'peacefully'.
"How was your day today, onii-chan?" Said Saki, trying to avoid the onions on her plate because she didn't really feel like eating cooked onions at the moment.
Tsukasa thought for a few seconds then glanced up at them, sighing. "I refused a role Rui wrote today."
Toya hummed and Saki nodded, both gesturing him to continue. "Because I was the princess and I didn't wanna wear a dress."
"Oh..." Said Saki, understanding why his brother refused it.
"But brother, I don't think there should be a problem. Dresses or colors doesn't have a gender, you said it, right? Wearing a dress wouldn't have change the fact that you're a man now." Said Toya, eating his onions happily instead of Saki.
Tsukasa shrugged, "Nene already pointed out my 'elegant' jaw before, and Emu also said I have a 'baby face' too and today Rui pointed out my feminine body figure. I know none of them hold any kind of ill intentions but wearing a dress would only make it more obvious and I don't feel brave or comfortable enough to talk above my gender identity, you know?"
Toya nodded, rubbing Tsukasa's shoulder. "Sorry, Tsu-nii. You're right. So what happened to the play? Is it—"
"No-no! We didn't just put them into trash! I just exchanged roles with Rui."
Saki giggled mischievously. "So Kamishiro-kun will wear a dress huh, interesting, fufufu..."
"Don't laugh like that!" Tsukasa yelled, receiving an another laughter from Saki. "We totally should be there this time Toya! I can't miss the chance!"
Toya laughed at her enthusiasm and patted her on top of her head. "Okay little troublemaker."
The next day, Tsukasa woke up early and got breakfast ready, then went to Toya's room first to see Saki curled up like a ball on the floor, her laptop in front of her, a video continuing on it's own. Toya was also down, his bed untouched, his phone on his face. Tch tch tch... Tsukasa got two pillows from Toya's bed and threw it at both of them.
"Wake up sleepyheads! If you're not gonna sleep on the bed why do we have it in the first place?!"
Saki groaned and threw the pillow back to Tsukasa. "Stop yelling for the love of God..."
Toya just opened his eyes, started at the ceiling for a few seconds then got up slowly like a zombie, leaving his phone on top of the drawer. "..."
"Brrr, I get scared of him every time when he first wakes up! He's just like a zombie, what if he tries to eat us!!?" Saki trembled then closed the tabs on the laptop, also shutting it down.
"... Good morning to you too, Saki." Toya said while rubbing his eyes.
"You sound like a horse! What's up with your voice being like father's when you first wake up?!" Said the blonde who forgot the open her pigtails before sleeping.
Toya checked the time, went to the toilet without saying anything then came back, got inside the bed covers and grumbled.
"Wh— TOYA I SAID GET UP!!! THE BREAKFAST IS COOLING COME DOWN THE STAIRS IMMEDIATELY AND DON'T MAKE ME REPEAT MYSELF EVER AGAIN. YOU TOO SAKI.
Saki got up immediately as Tsukasa said, kissed Tsukasa's cheek and ran to bathroom, her destination being kitchen.
But Toya didn't get up, it was six in a Saturday morning and he wanted to get more sleep. But Tsukasa wasn't happy with that. He held Toya up on one of shoulders like he is a bag and went downstairs. Toya didn't complain, only continued to sleep. Well, until Tsukasa splashed some water on his face and washed his face and his sleep was gone now, excellent.
"Sen... pai..." Toya grumbled again and rubbed his eyes hardly.
"Toya. Breakfast." Said Tsukasa and showed a sausage in Toya's mouth. Toya munched on it and smiled, just only realizing he was hungry after getting the first bite. Tsukasa patted his head and also sat on the chair, eating breakfast together.
"I thought mom and dad were coming yesterday..." Said Saki and Tsukasa felt bad for lying to her to send her off to her room to sleep.
"They said to me they still have a bit of work to do, imoto-chan. But I'm here! Your amazing brother as in the future star can take care of both of you without any problems! Ha-ha-ha!"
Saki giggled and nodded, continuing to eat her own plate like there was no tomorrows.
"So I wrote the love letter and I'll make some chocolates too and I will also buy masterwort flowers and maybe tickets for a movie—"
Saki cut off his sentence. "Onii-chan, relax! You're not purposing, you're just confessing!!"
"B-but— but Saki! I want it to be romantic and stuff... you know... like the yuris you read or yaois Toya read!!"
Saki laughed at him, "Brother, then you might need to end up kissing him though! Oops!"
Tsukasa blushed a little, still going on. "s-so... SO WHAT? CAN'T WE KISS?"
Toya took a very deep breath and Tsukasa almost felt bad for yelling, almost. "What if he rejects you?"
"Toya, don't say such things! It's so~ obvious Kamishiro-kun's eyes cannot see anyone else other than onii-chan!!" Saki pouted and threw a fry to him. Toya just catched it and ate.
"I'm just saying it, girl, chill!" Tsukasa laughed at his manners again, finding it absolutely amusing how Toya was talking like Saki time to time.
But Tsukasa still felt bad about what Toya said. "I mean Nene pointed out him being gay multiple times more as an insult but whatever and what if he thinks I'm not a real m—-"
Just as he was about to say it, Toya stuffed a few cucumbers in his mouth so he would shut up. Tsukasa furrowed his eyebrows but ate the cucumbers in his mouth anyways.
"No, Rui, the fuck. Stop making up complicated plans!" Nene scoffed.
Mizuki only laughed first, seeing the quiet girl at school now being brutally honest and rude at Rui's house was funny to them. "Nene-chan's kinda right, ahaha~ What's up with all those complications? Straight up go and tell him 'I love you my blueberry muffin' and that's it, bro."
"But Nene, Mizuki! You don't get it!! What if he rejects me if it's too simple! I don't even know if he's interested in boys.. what if he's straight! Or even worse, homophobic!!" Nene threw a pen at him.
"You dumb fuck. Tsukasa probably doesn't even know what's a homophobic and he thinks it's normal. He's so dumb it's like he's been living under a rock all those years. Didn't his parents teach him something, like? His only thoughs about romance is probably 'everybody can love whoever they want why do genders even matter hohoho' or something like that." Nene tied her hair up because of the hot weather.
Mizuki broke into a laugh and held their stomach. "Y-your impression on him, aaah! And 'hohoho'?! Are we talking about Tsukasa-senpai or Santa Claus? Pfft~"
"I can't just straight up tell my feelings to him... What if he gets them in friendly intentions? I don't want to get friend-zoned!" Rui said, also tying his hair.
Mizuki giggled and held his bangs out of his face with clips so he can actually get some breath. "Say it in school before going home and tell him to text you about his answer man, easy. If he rejects or something you can say we were playing truth or dare and I dared you to do that, you know. Leave it simple! If he accepts, that's when you should speak up your mind to him!"
Nene nodded, totally agreeing with the pink haired. They were completely right if you asked Nene. Then she put her hand on Rui's head and got back as soon as she did it. "Wash your damn hair and body! You literally stink!"
Mizuki didn't like Nene's comment on Rui's hygiene because they knew Rui didn't really have a good relationship with hygiene. The thing is, Nene knew it too, but she couldn't bear the smell anymore. If she let Rui do whatever he wants, that won't end well. So she needs to be there for him like a mean parent for him to take care of himself. Being nice isn't always the answer, she assumed.
Rui shrugged. "I will, probably this night or tomorrow, I don't know... I don't really feel like getting wet now."
Nene got up and held both Rui's and Mizuki's hands and pulled them. "We are bathing you now and you're not allowed to complain. Got it?"
"Neneee, nooo!!"
"Nene yes. Come on. You too Akiyama-kun, you'll help me!"
They giggled and nodded, helping Nene to bring Rui to the bathroom. Nene was taking out new clothes and a towel for him meanwhile Mizuki commanded Rui to take out his clothes except for his boxers. He shivered from the cold sensation and just sat on the bathtub while warm water was filling it up. Mizuki threw the dirty clothes to dirty laundry basket and opened their bag, which was full of care products.
Nene came back and closed the door, cracking her knuckles. "Now now Rui, take those clasps out from your hair because I'm not touching it unless it touches some water."
Rui sighed and took them off, then Mizuki took out shampoos from their bag and placed them close to Nene. "Where's the hairbrush, Rui?"
"...Zero clue."
Mizuki nodded and took out their own brush, whispering sweet things to it as their last goodbye. Then they gave the hairbrush to Nene and she tried to brush his hair but the brush wouldn't move. "Just when did you brush your hair?"
Rui shrugged. "Two weeks ago probably, hehe."
"When was even the last time you took a shower?!"
"8 days ago!"
Nene grumbled and poured some hair conditioner to his hair so it can brush easier that way. Finally she was able to brush his hair, then Mizuki gave her a shampoo only for the roots, Nene poured it in her hands then started to massage Rui's scalp. Meanwhile Rui was just sitting like a tot when her mother used to bath him, very silently.
Mizuki saw Nene's arms were getting tired and they patted her shoulder, saying she can wash her hands and they will take care of Rui now. Nene got up and washed her hands, on the other end Mizuki massaging Rui's scalp now. "It feels good, right? If it hurts don't be shy to tell, I'll be more gentle, okay?"
Rui silently nodded and enjoyed the feeling on his scalp. After a while Mizuki brushed his hair once again and poured some water, then another shampoo now for the whole hair. After they were finished with his hair, they poured some body conditioner to a fiber and started rubbing lightly on his back and shoulders.
"I feel like a mother..."
"Hey, Akiyama-kun, if you're getting tired I can continue." Mizuki nodded in response to Nene, changing seats. Nene took a deep breath and started rubbing much more harder than Mizuki did, making Rui's skin tomato-red from the friction. She did all his back, shoulders, chest and arms, making Rui's skin like a baby's.
"Uh, I can do my own legs."
"if you do not mind dear princess."
Nene gave the fiber to Rui then turned around, thinking he might feel uncomfortable, though the whole situation was kind of...
Rui quickly rubbed his lower part of the body and took a deep breath. "I'm finished."
Nene and Mizuki turned back around and Mizuki made a thumbs up. Nene smiled, gave him the towel and they got out of the bathroom, actually leaving Rui some real space now. He wrapped the towel around his waist and washed his face then got out, went to his room and wore the clothes Nene picked up for him. "I'm available now! You can come!"
Both Mizuki and Nene came inside, Mizuki holding their bag in their hands, with Nene grinning. Uh-oh.
"Let's dry your hair first!" Mizuki came up to him and took the hair dryer out from one of the drawers and dried his hair and styled it. Rui looked in the mirror and liked the little bun in his hair, he thought of doing it more often.
Nene curiously took out the things from Mizuki's bag, looking through them. Then Mizuki took the moisturizer and applied it to Rui's hands and face.
"I don't like it's texture..."
"You need to do this more often or the eczemas in your hands will worsen, Rui."
Rui sighed and nodded. Then both Nene and Mizuki started to take care of his nails, putting cuticle remover and cutting them out, then giving a neater shape to his long (some slightly bitten) nails. Nene cleaned his nails with a wet wipe and sighed, plopping down in the bed. "I can't apply nail polish, sorry. My hands shake a lot."
"It's okay, Nene-chan! I can do it on my own, hehe." Said the pink haired and smiled, then started to apply a cyan nail polish to his nails. "This color is to match your cyan streaks! Tsukasa also uses a jean blue color outside of school as I saw before. I think they're quite matching, hehe."
Rui giggled, "You're right Mizuki, fufufu~"
After finishing that, she began to apply care masks to his face and nose patches that made his eyes tear up. They went on doing that, now Rui's face being the softest ever. Nene meanwhile fall asleep there, waking up that early after spending all night to play games the day before definitely wasn't something for her.
Mizuki smiled at Rui. "You look beautiful, bro."
Rui smiled and nodded. "I think so too, thank you, really. I don't think I would ever have that much courage to do all that if it was me... I didn't even felt like getting wet in the first place, remember."
Mizuki patted his both shoulders and sighed, definitely feeling proud from their hard work. "Don't bite your nails, okay? Also use that chapstick I got you! Your lips are getting drier and drier. You don't want to kiss Tsukasa with dry lips now, do you?"
Rui blushed and nodded slightly, putting the chapstick on his lips again to reassure them. Then his phone vibrated and Mizuki gave his phone to him from the drawer.
"It's Tsukasa-kun...!!"
Mizuki perked up at that and sat next to Rui, looking at his phone not-so-respectfully.
Do you want to meet up tomorrow at 01.00 pm? At a restaurant that's near my house, it has really good meals and I'm sure you would like them! There is vegetable-free meals (: Want me to send the location?
Rui giggled and shaked Mizuki gigglingly. "He asked me out he asked me out he asked me out!!"
"That's awesome!"
"Wait-wait-wait. I don't know what to wear or what kind of makeup I should do I don't want to use my red eyeliner and go to him I do that everyday anyways and how much money should I bring with myself do I even have money oh no I didn't check should I ask my mommy to send me som—"
"Rui! Stop, damn! Relax! I will help with both make up and clothes tomorrow! Now check if you have money. If not I can lend you some only if you are willing to pay back! Hmph! I'll look through your clothes!"
Rui got up and looked at his wallet and let out a relaxed sigh. "Phew, at least I do have money more than enough... Good."
"Rui, what the fuck. Don't you have anything else other than vibrant colored clothes? You look like Fresh sans!"
Rui sighed in defeat. "I like vibrant colors, you know me... Can't you just make a fit out of them? I don't want to wear anything out of my comfort zone."
Mizuki nodded and took out a black turtleneck sweater and a tight black pants, but Rui immediately refused so Mizuki put that back in it's place, then took out a very baggy (and crumbled up since it hasn't seen the outside for a really long time, Mizuki will have to iron it) black pants that the insides were a dark blue.
"Um... May I wear something on top of it too? The sweater is kinda tight..."
Mizuki nodded and looked through the clothes more, finding a jacket that was very colorful. The right side of it was green, and the arm being dark blue with grey tiles on it, meanwhile; the left side was purple and the arm was turquoise. Also the waist part of it was very tight, just closing the waist and letting the rest be opened baggy would look good, Mizuki thought. Then they took out a while belt and a pair of transparent brown long socks.
"Thoughts?"
"I love it Mizuki! Thank you!"
They smiled sincerely and nodded. "I'll pick out a few jewelry and you wear them too... Hmmm..." They took a chain necklace and a chain bracelet, then a pair of big golden circle earrings.
"The other hole in your left ear isn't closed, right?"
Rui nodded, showing his earlobe that didn't have an earring at the moment. Mizuki smiled and put all the clothes together, sighing. "I will need to iron them all. Tomorrow morning come to my house first and I'll do your makeup pretty boy. Then you can go!"
Rui nodded and yawned. It's been quite some time since they started all this... Wait, they forgot to eat! "Uh, I'll order us a pizza if you're also okay with that. I think I'm hungry and probably you and Nene are too even though she's kinda asleep right now."
Mizuki hummed. "Okay, Rui! I leave it to you~ Do that while I'm busy on those!"
"Okay!"
"You brushed your teeth, right?"
Rui frowned. "Of course I did! I used floss too and mouthwashed my mouth."
"Okay good, come here now big baby." Said Mizuki, taking out their makeup bag.
"Is Nene still asleep?" Asked the pink haired after they opened the bag.
"Yeah, she was very tired even when it was night so I let her sleep at my house, I also let her mom know."
"Good, good. Now, don't you dare to talk."
Rui nodded and started to wait for Mizuki to get into action. They applied some concealer and foundation first, continuing with some light blush and reddish eyeshadow. After that, they put on a winged eyeliner and curled his eyelashes before putting on a mascara.
"Damn, I'm doing it amazing!"
Rui smiled slightly and nodded. Mizuki continued to their work and outlined his lips with a red lip pen, then put on a pinkish red lipstick and some gloss on top. After they finished everything, they added some highlights to there and there and got back, looked proudly to their work.
"Now, go! Don't be late!"
Rui nodded and thanked them, then went to the location Tsukasa sent him. Oops, he was 10 minutes late but it's okay! Tsukasa wouldn't mind it anyways, right?
Just as he stepped inside the restaurant and spotted Tsukasa, he blushed unintentionally and gulped, then slowly walked to him and sat in front of him.
"Hello, Tsukasa-kun~ Hehe."
Tsukasa smiled at him, looking a bit nervous and his smile twitching a few times as he's smiling, clearly undetermined of himself. "Hi, Rui! How have you been?"
Rui, getting the courage to smile back, answered. "Good! What about you?"
"Awesome! By the way," he got a little closer "I like your makeup. It looks really beautiful! ...Or should I say handsome? Either way, you're stunning!!"
Rui's cheekbones got red only slightly. "Fufufu~ Thank you, Tsukasa-kun! I see you also have a yellow eyeshadow, hm? It suits you. You should definitely do it more often!"
"Ahaha..." Tsukasa rubbed his hand to the back of his neck. "Thank you. I don't owe any makeup supplies other than a colorless lip balm but Saki has so much! She offered to my makeup. I hope I don't look so stupid-"
"You don't. You look amazing, believe me. I'm not an expert at makeup either but your face looks... smoother?"
"Ah—! It's because of something Saki applied on my face. I'm not quite sure if it's makeup base or foundation or concealer... But yeah."
Rui nodded, talking about random things already making them feel at ease and get comfortable. At first it was like having a really close friend in school and meeting up with them for the first time outside of school gates and suddenly they feel like a stranger to you.
"Mm-hm. I can't see your freckles, that's why it caught my attention!"
"Y- o- were they that obvious?"
The purple haired giggled and nodded again. "Kind of. Especially under the sun~ They're really cute."
The waiter approached to them, giving both man the menu and waiting for them to order their choosen meals.
"What do you want to get?"
"... I'll go with pork. It's my favorite anyway!"
"Hmm... I think I'll get something meat related too. Maybe wings? Nope. Hard to eat in front of many people. Uh... Meatballs! Okay, I'm getting fries and meatballs."
The waiter nodded and went to tell their orders, leaving the two alone again. They continued to talk about random things about their looks, appreciating eachother until their orders came.
"Thanks."
"Thank you!"
Both of them were eating kinda slow since they were continuing to talk, not giving eachother the time to dwell on their stress and excitement.
"Hey, by the way, may I take you to somewhere else when we eat?"
Rui tilted his head to the side a little. "Hm, where? Oh noo!! Tsukasa-kun will steal me away and dug me in a grave because I didn't eat my vegetables on the plate... Hueee! How rude of you, mumumu..."
"Haah?! If that was my goal, I would've done so!!! I just wanted to take you to somewhere... filled with flowers. I know you like planting, so why not take a look at a big garden!"
"Aww, Tsukasa-kun remembers I am in greening committee! Sure, I'd love to come!"
Tsukasa nodded and continued to talk about whatever he was talking before asking that question. They ate their meals and ordered some sweets— Tsukasa got a slice of cake and Rui got a big muffin with some tea to go with their orders.
"... There's muffin on your cheek."
Rui blushed and tried to wipe it off. "Is it gone?"
"Nope!" Tsukasa giggled and leaned in closer to him, put his hand on his beloved's temple and rubbed the muffin piece off of Rui's cheek with his thumb and sat back in his seat. "All clean!"
Rui thanked him and started to eat his muffin more carefully. After they finished their sweets, Rui said he should be the one paying because Tsukasa gave him a great time but Tsukasa refused and said he should be the one who's paying because he invited him out so it's his responsibility. Rui insisted they should at least split up the price and he should pay for what he himself ordered but Tsukasa just looked at him dead in the eye, making Rui flinch and shut. After Tsukasa payed he smiled at Rui and took his bag.
"Wh— I can at least carry my own bag, you know, Tsukasa-kun!"
"No! I insist! As a gentleman I should carry your bag! It's surprisingly not heavy considering your personality with trying to bring every kind of thing you consider to be important, hahaha!"
Rui looked to the side and laughed, then looked back at him. "Nene convinced me to not bring any 'unnecessary' items, though I think all of them were very much necessary!! How could she do that to me, hueee..."
Tsukasa giggled and nodded, taking a deep breath to relieve himself a bit as his heart beat sped up. He was unconsciously biting inside his cheeks until Rui poked a finger on his cheek and laughed. "What's up with that face? You look like you're trying to solve a math question!"
"Wh- huh?! I don't get bad grades, just so you remember!"
"Oh but you cram the exams, don't you?"
Tsukasa averted his gaze away from Rui, whistling. "Maaaaybe...?"
"Pfwahahaha!"
"Thoughts?"
Rui squealed and looked around in amazement, getting excited. "This. Place. Is. AMAZING! LOOK AT ALL THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AROUND!! Look at these beautiful trees... Hic..."
"YOU'RE CRYING?!"
Rui rubbed his eyes and hugged Tsukasa, taking his breath away. Literally. Tsukasa chocked and pushed Rui gently, taking a few deep breaths as Rui finally let go of Tsukasa's neck.
"I love it so much, Tsukasa-kun! Thank you for bringing me here!"
Tsukasa looked proud of himself. "Heh. I knew you'd like it! A star like me always knows what's best for their c- best friends!"
Rui nodded while smiling ear to ear and took his phone out. "I want to take some photos! Smile, Tsukasa!"
"W-wait I'm not rea—" click.
Rui giggled and showed him the picture. "You look cute~"
Tsukasa blushed and took out his own phone, now him taking pictures of Rui. The purple haired was okay with it and was just smelling and petting flowers and trees. Tsukasa smiled with a relieved expression and watched Rui hyperfixiated on plants. He took a deep breath and approached to Rui, feeling determined enough.
"I have something to tell you, Rui."
Rui tilted his head to the side, growing curious about what the blond was about to say.
"First of all, thank you for all the good times you gave to me, along with other people. But I was always the happiest with you, I've always felt like my older sibling instincts can relax for a while because you made me feel relieved only even by your presence. It feels like you're an angel fallen from the sky for me as a reward from my hard work, shoulder to rely on, you know. I was never really occupied with romance before in my life, simply because I found it amusing and unnecessary but with you I just— I can't stop my heart from beating to it's hardest and speediest with you! I just want to hold you close to me, hug you to sleep, do other things like that. Uh... Kamishiro Rui. I like- no, love you. I really do love you so much, I have a huuuge crush on you which even Akito makes fun of me! So... Will you be my boyfriend?"
Tsukasa was blushing and fidgeting with the ends of his sweater, waiting an answer from Rui.
Meanwhile Rui's eyes were getting teary and he didn't know how to respect. He was utterly shocked, he didn't expect it. Well, he actually did— considered the idea Tsukasa might be having a liking to him but then immediately refused it in his own head, thinking it was an impossible thing to happen. But here he is, Tsukasa confessing and asking him to be his boyfriend. It all felt so unreal. Also unprofessional. Who asks their crush to be their lover as soon as they confess? Wait for the confession to be accept first!
"Y... You really do?"
"Yeah! To the end of the world!!"
Rui hugged Tsukasa suddenly and nodded. "I will be your boyfriend. I love you too... I was actually going to confess to you tomorrow at school, haha!"
Tsukasa looked at him in the eye with his eyes shining with excitement and radiating sparkles. "I LOVE YOU!!!"
"W-why are you yelling?"
I want everybody in the world to know my first ever love confession was a success! The person I am in love with loves me back!! I AM IN LOVE WITH RUI KAMISHIRO!!! I AM HIS BOYFRIEND AND HE IS MY! UWAAAAA—!!"
Rui chuckled and held his hand, then left a peck on his knuckles. "May I kiss the bride now?"
"U-um!!! You can!"
Rui leaned in left another peck to Tsukasa's both cheeks, making Tsukasa groan. He giggled and left another peck again right on his lip's side, teasing him. Tsukasa got impatient and held Rui by putting his both hands on his cheeks, pressing his lips against his so hardly.
"My nose...!"
Rui's eyes got teary because Tsukasa hit his head on his nose while kissing (or just pressing...?) his lips and Tsukasa apologized, kissing his nose normally.
"Do you know how kisses work? You just kinda hit me..."
"Doesn't kisses work like that??? I mean people make some really unnecessary mch mch mch noises while kissing in the movies but that's it overall! Isn't it?"
Rui laughed at him and Tsukasa blushed. "What?!"
"They are not entirely unnecessary, they just leave your mouth without you intending to! Hehe. Just try to do what I'm doing..."
Rui put his hands on Tsukasa's waist and pulled him closer, then put Tsukasa's arms on his shoulders and put his hands back to where they were again. Tsukasa wrapped his arms around Rui's neck, looking at Rui's lips with his whole face red.
"Close your eyes now."
Tsukasa obeyed and closed his eyes, waiting for his boyfriend. Rui tilted his head a little so their noses won't bump, and started to kiss Tsukasa gently. Tsukasa let out a shocked noise and tried to kiss him back as much as he can but he was really bad at it. He tried his best but he got breathless and had to pull away. Now both of their lips were red, especially Tsukasa's, uh-oh.
Rui laughed and hugged him again, resting his head on his shoulder now. Tsukasa petted his head and smiled. "...It was my first kiss"
Rul looked at his eyes. "Really?"
Tsukasa nodded. "Yeah. It felt good..."
Rui grinned and kissed his neck, then held his hand. "Let's get going, shall we?"
Tsukasa nodded and he left Rui at his door, then went to his own.
"Why are your lips swollen, onii-chan?"
"Uhhh—–-"
