Work Text:
“Hm. Your tie is crooked, you know. A disorderly uniform suggests a disorderly dorm.”
Upon seeing you on the main street of campus, Riddle stopped you.
“Of course you’d see something like this.” You smiled with a huff.
His lips flicked up for just a moment before giving you a pointed look, then set to fix the tie.
“As a perfect, you should set a better example for your dorm members. Even if you only have the one.”
In a few simple motions, he had finished. “…There. All better.” He stepped back.
“Thank you, Riddle.”
He stared at you for a moment, pursing his lips in hesitation.
Then,
“No, I should be thanking you.”
You tilted your head. “What for?”
“…for everything and nothing at all, I suppose.” But then he paused, "Well, actually, I do have something specific to thank you for."
"Oh? What would that be?"
He placed a hand over his heart, giving you a slight bow. "Thank you…" Then, as he lifted, he smiled. Bright and wide. "For making me smile."
