"hold still" complained Hobie brandishing an eyeliner pencil. Miles was laying on his lap while he put on makeup for him. They were sat, or lying in Miles'case, on the floor of Hobbies canal boat.
"Your holding pointy things near my eye" protested Miles it had been a quiet few days with no supervillains or any such crisis so Miles had been hanging around on Hobies boat this morning Hobie offered to do Miles' makeup and so he ended up lying on Hobies lap (he was trying to act normal about this detail) while Hobie worked his magic.
"Gorgeous" he said leaning down to kiss Miles. Miles blushed at the way Hobie looked at him.
"Almost done love" Hobie said "perfect"
Miles admired Hobies handiwork in the mirror "nice" he said
Hobie shuffled up behind him and kissed him on the cheek "you always look nice" he said
