    Brian wrinkled his forehead, unsurprised. He touched his lips, briefly, then ran a second model. A second graph appeared: the same dark lines on the left, but now with a red dot on Wednesday evening tilting the projection upward with a pleasing green color. He nodded to himself in satisfaction, and sent the analysis to the home-office printer. The model was clear: Jisoon would need a spanking.

    Jisoon had suggested regularly-scheduled maintenance spankings, but Brian knew they could do better. Scheduled maintenance, he always told people at work, belonged in the 20th century. Now we do predictive maintenance.
