After one of the many difficult challenges had ended Dave was out touring around the island, he had seen some parts of the place but didn't really care to check it out more. as the sun dimed down the sky became a more darker shade of blue an the slight wind turned into a semi-cold breeze. he cringed at the thought of going back to that dirty uncomfortable Cave.
'I mean,, its better than nothing' he thought.
He kept walking to pass the time until he heard movement in one of trees in front of him. Just before a noise could escape his mouth a person flung out.
"AHH" Dave let out a yelp as he tumbled backwards almost falling. The person dangled from the tree upside down.
"wow man its just me" Shawn replied to the other boys dramatic response to seeing him.
"oh, hey Shawn" He returned
"gottcha' pretty good huh" Shawn chuckled
"shut up, no you did not"
"I was just, A little startled... that's all" He said crossing his arms as he walked closer to the other.
"yeah yeah whatever"
"so,, what are you doing in a tree?" Dave added, in an attempt to spart up some sort of a conversation.
"there is no way I will be sleeping in a cave with people I've only known for a few days"
"plus no zombies can get me up here" Shawn replied, his tone sounding as if he was proud of himself.
"Zombies aren't known for climbing, so that's why I can" Shawn smirked
"Right.." Dave said back, He did not understand Shawn but he in joyed his company non the less, there was something about Shawn that just made him like him, he was not sure what but its not like he 'like liked' him like he liked sky, I mean he didn't even know why he was thinking that, cause he totally doesn't. Him and Shawn were just two good pals, great friends, amigos-
"um hello? earth to Dave" Shawn said waving his hand in front of Dave's face trying to get his attention.
"hm? what?"
"you've been blanked out for a good few minutes man."
"you okay?"
"Yeah,, just thinking"
"about?" Shawn questioned
"Just about Sky" Dave spat out
obviously he wasn't going to tell the other he was thinking about HIM, he's not that dense. Plus he didn't want to sound weird an end up embarrassing himself. he already has,, to many times an has seen the others do it. On purpose to, witch made him even more confused then he already was about them.
"wait, but I thought she wasn't looking for a relationship ?"
"I swear your like, obsessed or something."
"Its kind of sad to see people let an obsession get so bad" Shawn says
Dave stares at him, He can't even make up an emotion to show because the words he has just heard are so obscured.
"your telling ME this" Dave says pointing at himself.
"ironic" he rolls his eyes at him.
"I'm just saying" Shawn replies
Dave looks the other boy up and down, he's been upside down for a few minutes now.
'how can he still feel okay like that? we have been here for some time now' he thought.
'though he HAS been training for an apocalypse that's never going to happen' Dave says back to himself.
He keeps staring as he watches the other boy sway back and forth as his legs tighten there grip around the stern branch.
"You know what I've aways wanted to do" Shawn said breaking the silence between the two boys
"what is it?"
"You HAVE heard of that one upside down kiss right? like from the movies"
"yeah..?"
"That'd be so rad"
'of course he says "rad" Dave thought after Shawn had said that sentence.
"Yeah,, totally cool"
"maybe you an Jasmine could do it" Dave said with a chuckle.
"yah'.. orrrr-" Shawn said stretching out the 'or'
"or?" Dave cut him off, as he was getting way to impatient to wait, he thought it was annoying that Shawn had to make such a simple sentence so 'dramatic'
"We could do the kiss" Shawn said
Dave was taken a-back from the sudden suggestion, He felt his face getting more hot an his breathing patter change, I mean how could he even ask him something like that? he might have did it if he wasn't straight, Shawn isn't that bad of a looking guy. He's seen more 'unpleasant' looking guys, Plus I mean if he WERE to kiss Shawn it wouldn't be the weirdest thing he's done, Hell it could even be some-what nice, if it wasn't for the fact that he smells like a wet dog-
'wait.. what the hell am I even thinking right now?' Dave caught himself thinking about him in a 'not so platonic' way. He doesn't understand why he's thinking like this, he likes sky,, right?
"hah! I'm just joking man" Shawn says smiling.
"haha,, yeah! funny joke.." Dave said sheepishly.
'obviously he was joking you idiot' Dave tells himself, giving himself a mental slap for even THINKING that he could be serious.
But if Dave was honest, it had him thinking more, more than he was thinking before.
"Shawn would you actually kiss me?" Dave spits out.
Dave's eyes grew wide as he had just realized what he had just said.
and he regrets it.
BADLY.
Shawn just stared at him, he looked like he was at a loss of words.
"I'm sorry" Dave said, hoping Shawn isn't weirded out now.
Shawn just looks at Dave's feet for a few moments trying to form some type of sentence.
"hypothetically?" Shawn says, now switching his gaze into Dave's chocolate brown eyes witch stared back into Shawn's.
"Well if were talking hypothetical.." Shawn stops, looking away behind Dave, but soon looking back into his eyes once again.
"I would say I probably would" Shawn finally said, giving Dave a half smile.
Dave is confused, his emotions are everywhere. he feels weird, like his stomach is turning, but in a nice way.
"Oh" Dave musters up, That's all he could right now.
"Well if we are STILL talking hypothetically,, nobody's here right now"
Dave's heart is racing, he feels like he is going to vomit.
"Like we totally could" Shawn finishes.
Dave's face his heated, he feels his stomach turning as his pants begin to get tight.
'okay am I getting sick or SOMETHING??" Dave mentally yells at himself, he never feels like this an the only time he does is when he's with sky-
'oh fuck.' the realization hits Dave like a wave as a bunch of different feelings appear
'I like Shawn'
He's head is sounded louder an everything is getting more confusing by the second, He can't tell Shawn his ONLY good friend on this shitty island that he likes him. That would make him hate him and then He would tell everyone and then-
"heh, that'd be so crazy dude" Shawn chimed in, breaking the awkward silence.
"y-yeah, totally" Dave replies, not even having a clue on what to say next.
Shawn gives Dave a weird look as he stares more intensely at him.
"is um, something wrong?" Dave said, he hoped his internal freak out wasn't showing on the outside.
"Nah, its just you've got something on your face" Shawn says pointing at Dave's face.
"where!?" Dave shouts rubbing his face rapidly.
"come here" Shawn says
Dave takes a few steps near him.
"closer"
again Dave takes a few steps near him
"just a little closer"
"how close do you need me?" Dave said getting annoyed at Shawn.
Dave walked closer to Shawn like he had just been told.
Shawn grabbed the other males jawline with both of his hands and gripped onto the others skin
He smashed his lips onto the other boys lips without a warning.
Dave was takin' a-back from the surprising gesture.
Shawn closed his eyes as Dave's were still open from shock.
Shawn's head tilted slightly as he licked Dave's bottom lip.
Dave just closed his eyes and kissed back.
it felt so wrong, so good at the same time. his anxiety was getting too the worst of him, thinking of what his fellow peers would think of him, what would his family even think? an oh god.. what would his dad say? he would be so ashamed of him right now.
But Dave can't help but get a little.. "excited" from this moment.
When they finally pulled apart from their kiss a small thread of drool were connected on both of their lips.
Shawn took his hands off Dave and wiped his mouth.
Dave was at a loss for words, he stared at Shawn, dangling upside down in front of him.
there was only a few words he could mutter out
"I wanna do that again"
