It was only supposed to be one time. We were supposed to get it out of our systems a year ago , Olivia thinks as his hand traces invisible patterns across her back. Her head is resting on his naked chest. Her breasts pressed against his side. Their legs tangled together in the sheets. She sighs contentedly and snuggles somehow closer into his embrace.
“What’re you thinking about?” Elliot’s voice rumbles through her.
Her first instinct has always been to deflect, but with him she doesn’t want to, and she nuzzles closer and presses a kiss to his chest, just above his heart. “Just this - us.”
“Mhmm. What about us?” He sounds like he could easily drift off, exhausted from their evening alone.
She shifts up a little. A kiss to his neck this time. “Just - how glad I am that we didn’t do anything back then. I don’t think we’d be here right now if we had.” Two this time - one to his left cheek and one to his lips, which they both deepen. She shifts her body on top of his and pulls her lips away momentarily. “And I love where we are.”
He wraps his arms tighter around her, fully awake now, and effortlessly flips them so that he is over top of her. Her legs instinctively spread, cradling him against her. “Mmm. Is that right?” He teases, pressing their lower bodies together. Leaning down to press a kiss to her lips, catching her lower one between his, nipping slightly.
“Mmm, yeah.” She wiggles her hips slightly underneath him and gasps as he enters her for round 3 - or is it 4. She can’t remember. She just knows it feels right. And she wouldn’t change a thing.
