    After a diplomatic trip to the nearby fallen kingdom of Gusu, Prince Ying is aided by a mysterious masked man. The man, Wangji, insists on escorting the kind Prince and his entourage back to his home kingdom of Yunmeng. But, he disappears before they arrive.

    Upon returning to the Palace, Prince Ying learns the tall muscular man that catches his eye on the training ground, is the lost Second Prince of the fallen kingdom Lan Zhan.

    The Wen Clan take issue with Prince Ying’s interference in their trampling of Gusu and various attempts are made upon his life. But, Wangji always appears out of thin air to protect him.

    Meanwhile, Prince Ying’s affection for Lan Zhan begins to grow yet remains one-sided. Can the gentle Prince Ying find his own path? Should he follow his heart or let go?
