Summary
Emily’s so caught up between her memory and the JJ in front of her, dripping wet, eyes ablaze that she’s unable to move, hasn’t yet been able to formulate something to say in response to JJ’s, It’s raining. She’s so tangled up in the vision of her, that siren song plucking at her heart strings, that she barely catches the subtle changes in JJ’s face as a decision is being made.
Emily hardly registers JJ’s purposeful movement over the threshold before she’s holding both sides of Emily’s face in her hands; the fingers of her right hand, palm against Emily’s left cheek, curl behind her ear, and her left hand contours Emily’s jaw, her thumb tracing over Emily’s bottom lip, gently parting them before replacing her thumb with her own lips.
