"When I was young, there was this girl in my town. They called her Kuina. She was an amazing swordsman, but nobody took her seriously because of her gender. I trained very hard and even used three swords to prove I was the best in the village, but it was useless. Eventually, Kuina died in an accident. I asked her father for the family sword and he helped me set out to sea.
