   Summary

   When Dean Winchester was four years old, he carried his baby brother out of a burning house while his father and dead mother were still inside. He sat in the front yard and watched the flames consume all that he knew, not knowing whether or not he would be an orphan by the end. He didn’t understand the concept. He gripped his baby brother closer, keeping Sammy safe, always keeping Sammy safe.
