Cruel Summer

Summary:

"Why have you kidnapped me again?"

"I needed–"

"No, let me guess. You want me to join your cult."

Suguru tilted his head and smiled. "It's not a cult."

"I am still guessing! You want me to help you be less stupid since you are as dumb as you are tall."

Geto showed his teeth, pulling a few strands back behind his ear. "Let's not say things that get us into trouble, sweetheart."

Or Getou Suguru kidnaps Iori Utahime to leverage over his ex friend, in hopes of controlling him but nothing ever goes as planned when it comes to Iori Utahime. Something he comes to learn the hard way.

Chapter 1: kidnapped

Chapter Text

Geto whistled to the tune of the strange american girl singing something about no body, no crime hoping it would tune out the noises coming from the trunk of his car…but it didn't seem bloody well likely. To be honest, the song was starting to irritate him and he was coming around to the idea of letting his hostage just tire themselves out instead.

"Let me out!"

He sighed, heavily, gripping the wheel tighter. Why couldn't Satoru just like docile women? No, no. He always wanted the firecrackers!

"I know it's you Geto! Let me out right now you moron!"

The banging behind him continued once again pulling him out of his thoughts. With all her might, Utahime started screeching, voice piercing his ears like needles. Like little slaps straight to the back of his head where a migraine was forming. She should tired out about now. It's been three hours. Three whole fucking hours.

"I swear to god Geto! I will kill you!"

To his intense exasperation, instead of tiring out…. She started kicking everywhere and anything she could.

"GETO!"

Alright, he has had enough. He pulled to the side of the road and easily got out of the car, already pulling his phone out to dial Gojo. The sooner the girl got off his head, the better. If only that dumbfuck would co-operate.

Opening the door to his trunk, Geto easily caught her trying to punch him in the face. Seriously, who was she kidding?. But this was Utahime and Gojo liked them wild and mad, so she tried to scratch his eyes while screaming in his face until he got one of his curses to charm her to sleep…and she lost consciousness in his arms.

Heaping her back into the trunk, Geto dialed the number. "Have you thought about my proposal?"

"Go to hell," Gojo said, sweetly. Geto had no doubt he was waving a middle finger around even if he couldn't see it.

"I thought you were in love with her or something?" Geto purred, pushing some strands of dark hair out of her face and smiled. He had forgotten how cute she had been when they were young. Clearly she had grown fine and he had missed this transformation. "Isn't she pretty?"

"Don't you touch her!" His old friend hissed and Geto had no doubt he could see them with those six eyes. He just couldn't follow them if he wanted the girl alive and unharmed. Unable to control himself, he had always loved to get under Satoru's skin (it was his one flaw he okay?), Suguru traced a finger from her eyes to her neck. She was pretty.

"Give me back my kids and I will give you back your pretty little girlfriend. No harm. No foul."

"Like hell. You have brainwashed these kids into thinking what not. I am not letting them back up with you."

"Kiss her goodbye then," Geto mocked, placing a finger near her lips. "Or wait, should I?"

"Let me talk to her."

"I will let you talk to her when you give me what I want."

"If you touch a strand on her head I will kill you and everyone you have ever met."

"What do the kids say these days? 'Samesies'" Geto sighed, pushing a limp Utahime inside roughly hoping Gojo witnessed it and closed the trunk door hard. "Just give me what I want. I have no desire to hurt Utahime. You know it."

"Sure. Like you had no desire to hurt–"

"Satoru," Geto's voice lowered. "Let's not go there."

He cut the call and dialed another number that he hadn't in a while.

"Who do I kill?" Mei asked, casually.

"Hello to you too."

"Don't be Grumpy. It's not like you call me without work. Just tell me the payment."

"That depends," Suguru rolled the word in his mouth as he got into the car. "Will you do it knowing what I do?"

"As long as I am paid, I will kill your mother if you want me to."

"Okay…so…I kidnapped Utahime."

"...what?"

"I killed Itadori's mother. Thereby releasing Kenjaku."

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah, Noritoshi Kamo is Itadori's mother."

"....am I missing something?"

"It's a long story." Geto sighed, not getting it fully himself. "Then, Gojo stole my kids so I kidnapped Iori."

"...okay."

"I need you to get my kids out of Gojo's hands and back to me. He is not giving them back and I fear their safety. Kenjaku cursed them before we left and I…" He swallowed the thickness in his neck. "I am paying a few millions. Just get it done."

"It's Gojo Satoru," Mei whispered. Suguru wondered if she was going to refuse. He would have no choice but to actually start committing atrocities. "Twenty million."

"Done."

"Damn, do cults pay a lot?"

Suguru smiled. "Let me know if you wanna join."

"Prepare me a few checks and we'll talk," Mei laughed in that derisive way she does when mocking someone then disconnected. Suguru discarded his phone carelessly on the side seat.

"Good morning," Geto sang, annoyingly and patted her cheek lightly.

"Did you drug me," she groaned, feeling the back of her head for a headache and pulled herself up, feet dangling outside the trunk. Suguru grinned at her as she did so. The bastard. "What if I had died of suffocation, asshole?"

"You wouldn't have."

Utahime almost growled at his smug, smiling face before taking deep breaths and controlling herself. She was not a child anymore. She doesn't need–get–to be annoyed. This man in front of her is not Geto Suguru, rival, friend, Gojo's ex. No this was Geto Suguru–curse user and genocidal maniac.

"Oh, C'mon…You are fine," suddenly Geto took her wrist and pulled her out, roughly making her stumble into his chest. She gripped at his shirt with both hands. Her feet trembled at the lack of usage and she fell face first onto him. "Now..."

Pulling away from Geto's chest with a shove, Utahime looked around and realized she had no idea where they were. Definitely not in a city. Only green plains and a road surrounded them with a meek oil and gas pump on the other side with a small diner.

Utahime sighed at the thinly veiled threat. "You want Satoru to do something for you."

"You aren't as stupid as you look, huh?" Geto mocked then took her wrist again, pulling her forward he turned around to the left side of the car. Utahime yelped as he pushed her into the car seat, then locked the door.

Getting into the other side, Geto turned the key into ignition.

"Where's my purse?"

"I threw it out," he replied, smiling smugly at the scowl she threw his way and pushed on the accelerator. But that wasn't to be.

"No, wait!"

"What?" He asked, abruptly coming to a halt at Utahime's shriek. Geto looked sideways to check her head to toe to see if something was going on. If someone or something….

"I am really hungry."

"..."

"Starving."

He stared at her face for a while before struggling out,"....what?"

"I was rudely interrupted by a cultist before I got to dinner and I have spent all I had kicking a trunk. I need food."

"It's not a cult," Geto replied instinctively with a frown. "What's wrong with you? You are kidnapped. Be more remorseful."

"It's not like that's gonna stop you from killing me if Gojo doesn't do what you want," she grumbled. "I want to die on a full stomach."

Geto waited a few minutes before deciding on his odds and turned to threaten her," if you try anything… I will kill you and get another hostage."

"Kinky." Utahime smiled sweetly," is that the mouth you used to kiss Satoru with?"

"No," Geto grinned just as hard. "That's the mouth he used to kiss me on."

Geto watched amused as Utahime flirted with the young boy at the counter with smiles and teeth. Sipping his coffee that he almost spit when he saw the boy's eyes shining with a crush, and spilling soda all over himself. Gods

She was pretty…or well, she had grown into some places more than the others. He had forgotten how much fun it had been for him and Gojo to tease her. Always going red, always over the top. They could never get enough.

Utahime glared at him before going to a section the boy pointed to and disappeared from sight. Not wanting to have her at any advantage, Geto followed not far behind and strayed to the counter for a moment where the boy looked in alarm at his sudden presence. Perhaps not expecting the girl to be with anyone.

Geto tried to smile nicely and grabbed a packet of chips to take away with. "Hey, how are things?"

"Uh…" If it was possible the boy blushed even harder. "It's okay…" He wondered what Utahime had said to him when the boy answered for him. "Is that your girlfriend?"

Geto looked sideways at Utahime trying to pick up the most expensive foods she could buy with his card, then turned to the boy with a sigh. "Yeah."

"Really?" the boy gulped. "I am sorry…I…Sir…"

"It's fine," Geto sighed, then whispered as to not alarm her. "Tell you the truth…she is bit of a harlot."

"Huh?" the boy blanched, cheeks turning to big round tomatoes.

"She is a bit crazy if you ask me…you don't know what she has under those pants."

They both turned to look at Utahime who at the very moment bent to pick something and sighed, both for very different reasons.

"Yeah, she doesn't look so huh?"

Feeling a sudden pricking in the back of his neck as he saw her disappear down an isle and not come back for two minutes while he chatted with the boy, Geto scanned the shop for any sounds. "Is there another exit around here?"

"Hmmm…no?"

Geto nodded at the boy to collect his payment for chips and went after Utahime instead only to find her hissing into a phone. Sighing, he promptly took it from her with a yelp and saw the no. on the phone.

"Satoru?" he asked.

"I am sorry?" a woman's voice came through on the other side. A very unfamiliar one.

He stared at the phone from Utahime and wondered what to reply when she started shaking her head. "What?"

"That's my mum," she whispered, coming on her tiptoes to whisper in his ear so her mother couldn't hear. "I am just telling her I won't be home for a while."

"Hello?" the static voice on the other side of the phone was confused and similar to Utahime now that he paid attention. He made a face at her before putting it to his ear again," Hi, Miss Iori. Utahime is fine with us…oh…look the netw–"

The girl in question glared at him as he looked back at her breaking the phone in his hand, his face darkening.."I told you not to stir trouble."

"I was just calling my mum."

"And now Satoru would know that you are fine," Geto scowled then smiled with teeth. "Well, now they know you are fine. I can hurt you just as much."

"I will behave," Utahime mocked, surrendering her hands. "O great Geto Suguru!"

Geto squinted, doubtful.

"You have my word," she replied cheekily. "Now let's go."

Sighing, he was sighing a lot these days. Today was not his day. He took her wrist again and dragged her with him, her small frame barely came up to his shoulders. He could see her struggling to follow as he took a few long strides, paid for the food and left but not before the boy recoiled when Utahime smiled at him which made her all the more confused. He didn't want to leave a trail, in case Satoru sent someone to follow him. A couple was hardly anything special than a guy dragging a girl with him.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Like the good kidnapper I am," Suguru smiled. "Not bloody likely to tell you."

"Are you taking me to your cult?"

"It's not a cult!"

"...are you sure?"

Ticked off and scowling, Geto turned to look at her. Eyes glinting with mischief, skin red from all the running and hair pulled back into a tight bun…She was easy on the eyes, he thought. "Get inside."

She obeyed with a harrumph but not before waving a middle finger behind him which he could see in the glass. Today is going to be a long day.

As the sun started to set, Suguru found himself wishing he had kidnapped anyone else.

On his right, Utahime fumbled with the radio from Chanel to Chanel. Boys singing about butter to girls singing about whores. The constant ever-changing noise was giving him a headache and it didn't seem like she was going to stop anytime.

"Can you stop?"

"You are the one who kidnapped me. The least you can do is let me choose music."

"The least I can do," Suguru turned towards her with murder in his eyes. "Is lock you back in the trunk."

Utahime frowned for a second before turning back to the radio," I don't remember you being this grumpy. Is the cult not–"

"It's. Not. A. Cult."

"Yeah…sure…"Uthahime said, seriously, her face twitching from holding back a smile. "So?"

"So?"

"I haven't seen you in a while."

Geto slowly turned to look at her. "Really?"

"What?"

"..."

"So are we gonna stop at a hotel or am I going to sleep in this car?"

"Will you shut up if I tell you it's a hotel?"

"Fine. Grumpy."

Geto smiled as the chatter died down and once again peace claimed his world. He even plugged out the mild music in the radio until he realised it's a bit too suspicious…when he turned to check on her only to find Utahime fast asleep by the window.

She looked so peaceful. So calm.

It was not fair. She was supposed to quake in fear at his feet, not drag him through diners and make him listen to pop songs.

It just won't do.

"What the–" Utahime swore lazily as he dragged her back into the trunk and closed it on her face. That'll teach her.

Come to think of it, the music was better too now. He quite liked whoever this girl was singing about a cruel summer.
