Pyro

Summary:

Kaeya gets too cold when it rains and his favourite source of heat is all the way in Dawn Winery.

Work Text:

When it came to rainy days, the winery was Kaeya's favourite place to go to. It was warm there, comfortable, even warmer when Diluc was around. Today was one of those days, when the rain became so loud that it deafened the bluenette. Alone in his apartment, he feels colder than ever and it does not help when his Vision would amplify the feeling. He drags himself to the mirror to check his clothes one last time before he grabs an umbrella and rushes out of the door. He didn't even bother taking any other necessities. He's always staying at the winery and he's left so much of his things there that it felt more like he lived there than in the apartment he currently was staying at.

The rain becomes stronger when he's finally out of the city. Without the walls subduing the storm, Kaeya was more vulnerable to getting wet. His boots were already soaked but he kept walking because he knew there would be relief when he reached the winery. Still, it was a long walk and if he didn't hurry, he would eventually get stuck in the storm, cold, miserable and probably sick.

Kaeya starts his journey while the rain is still bearable. Although he was already soaked that his clothes were sticking to his skin, he kept walking, sometimes stopping to take refuge under a tree when the wind fought against him. He could barely see where he was walking, the storm gets too strong at this time of the year. Kaeya knew he should've gone earlier, when the sky was only threatening to cry yet he was too busy to even consider it. Smiling sourly to himself, his feet dive into the flood in front of him, walking through it as he grips the umbrella tightly in his hand.

At the Dawn Winery, Diluc finds himself looking out the window more times than he could count. Kaeya didn't send a letter whether he'd be coming or not so the red-head doesn't know what to expect from his boyfriend. Worried, he could not focus on the papers he was reading. They were all from the guild. Diluc nuzzles his head into the palms of his hand, a sigh escaping his lips. "I could just give this to Elzer but he deserves the break today."

Diluc decides to leave his study, making his way down to the lobby where most of the staff of the winery stays.

"Master Diluc." Adelinde greets. "Would you like a cup of tea? It will warm you for the night."

Looking out the big window at the front of the winery, he thinks for a moment before turning back to Adelinde. "Yes please, make it sweet. And prepare a glass of warm milk for Kaeya."

Hillie giggles from another corner of the room. "Ey, Master Diluc. The rain is coming down so hard right now, surely Master Kaeya won't think to battle the storm."

Just then, a knock came to the doors of the winery as if to mock Hillie. All of them gasp as she rushes to the door and when she opens them, she's met with a very wet Kaeya. Moco chuckles from behind her. "You were saying?"

The girls invite Kaeya in, quick to close the grand doors while Diluc rushes to strip Kaeya's upper layers as Elzer hands him a towel. "Why didn't you tell me you'd be coming? I would've fetched you instead."

Kaeya shakes his head, still shivering and his teeth chattering, he could not speak. But he's been craving Diluc's warmth so he lets his lover wipe him down with towels, feeling his Pyro through his soaked clothes. He enjoys it for a while but another bout of trembling electrifies his entire body and he pouts, holding his arms out, asking for a hug. Diluc could only smile at the little antics his boyfriend is showing him. "Not yet, take a bath first, hm?"

The bluenette ends up whining as he is dragged to Diluc's room and into the bath. Kaeya watches in interest while Diluc prepares him a hot bath. Knowing his clothes are still wet, Kaeya hugs Diluc from behind, giggling like a young woman. He finds the hem of Diluc's shirt, palming at his bare skin and absorbing the warmth it exudes.

"Kaeya."

Diluc leans over to peek at Kaeya, seeing his content expression, the red-head ends up letting him do what he wants to do until the water becomes hot enough by his hands. Steam rises up from the water, showing how hot it was so Diluc could only pull Kaeya away from him. "Kaeya." He repeats.

Being obedient only comes to Kaeya when it was his lover asking. He doesn't even open his eyes as he raises both arms above his head, letting Diluc pull his soaked shirt over his head. Now naked, he's colder than ever even when there was barely any wind in the bathroom. The water seems like it's inviting him to step in so he does, dipping his entire body in it except his head. "Join me." He finally says, his voice hoarse.

"I can't. I'll prepare something to eat. Just relax for a while and come out when you're not too cold anymore, okay?"

Grunting his complaint, Kaeya closes his eyes again and Diluc plants a kiss on his forehead.

When Diluc went back to the kitchen, Adelinde was already busy preparing dinner and he insisted on helping, even with the little things there's left to do. With the two of them doing the work, they finish quickly and prepare the table for the meal along with the tea and milk that Diluc had requested. Diluc returns to the bath and kneels by the tub. "Dinner's ready." He says. Kaeya hums as a reply but he doesn't move an inch so Diluc ends up pulling him out of the tub, carrying him by his armpits like how one would carry a baby. He smiles at Kaeya's smooth appearance, enjoying the view just for a little while before throwing a towel over Kaeya's head.

"Come now, dress up and come downstairs soon."

Diluc leaves the bathroom with a smile on his face. Only a few minutes later, Kaeya comes out dressed in a red nightgown, too big for him and obviously Diluc's. He has a lazy grin on his face.

"Well?"

Diluc motions for him to follow, and he does. His hand grabs Diluc's as he is led to the dining table and served warm soup.

"I hope you enjoy the food, Master Kaeya."

Nodding his head, Kaeya smiles cutely at Adelinde. "I like everything you make, Addie."

As soon as Diluc sits next to him, Kaeya starts looking for the hem of his shirt again, digging his hand inside it to feel Diluc's warmth. The red-head gives him a side eye before he resumes eating, enjoying the feel of Kaeya's hand on his abdomen instead. He knew his lover's just looking for warmth after all and his body heat is higher than anyone else's and he takes pride in the fact that he's the only one that Kaeya would seek warmth from. Even in the most dangerous storms, he would walk through floods and let himself get soaked in the cold rain to reach Diluc. How could he push this hand away?

"I hope you're enjoying my Pyro." He mutters.

Kaeya watches him for a moment but then leans his head on Diluc's shoulder. "It's you. I'm enjoying you."
