Summary
There is no friendly face in Rohan. He is a clear Gondorian, with his grey eyes and dark hair, and the farmers have seen their crops burned too many times to feel any sympathy for him. He worries for Faramir in the palace, but his brother assures him that he is well watched over, and has come to no harm.
But all luck must have its limits, and eventually it is announced that Théoden King has returned.
He gets no farewell to his brother, still working in the kitchens for the celebration. Boromir is called from their room, bade to bathe and dress, and he is bound.
It is time.
