Chapter Text

2 days later…

Khana rolled over in Katsuki’s bed with the sun shining in her face. She sat up and pushed her loose hair strands out of her face. As she rubbed her eyes, all groggy, she noticed the smell of bacon and eggs on a frying pan.

Oh my god! What smells so good? Is that bacon and eggs?

Khana got up, put on Katsuki’s white t-shirt and made her way to the kitchen. She saw Katsuki standing over the stove flipping the bacon, shirtless, with espresso brewing on the Nespresso on the countertop to his left. He turned around to see her standing there in his t-shirt with her messy hair pulled into a ponytail.

“Hi.” said Khana while smiling.

“Hi, how did you sleep?”

“Uh…great. I slept great.”

“Good. Listen, I didn’t know if you liked bacon or eggs more so I made both. I was going to do iced vanilla lattes but I could also remake that raspberry iced coffee drink you like to get at Starbucks. What do you think?”

“What do I think? I think this is…incredible!”

“Really?”

“Yeah! I mean, what style and you can cook?”

“Pretty much yeah.”

Khana stood there smiling with her arms crossed. She looked at the sizzling bacon and eggs that looked like they came from an old fashioned diner from the the 50’s.

“The drink I like to get is a Venti Rasberry Oatmilk Iced Latte with Vanilla Cream Coldfoam. It’s a long name but if you want to try and make it…”

“I’m not just going to try. I’m going to make it.” he replied.

Later, Khana sat at the kitchen table sipping on her latte, while he continued to cook the eggs. She watched him cook while enjoying her coffee that tastes way better than the one she got at Starbucks.

“So, how is it?”

“The latte is so good! Even better than the one I get from Starbucks!”

“Damn right it is! None of that artificial shit! The syrups I get are all natural!”

“Hehe of course.”

Khana bit her lip and looked up after drinking some of her coffee. She was enjoying this fairytale of a morning but not without having some of the real world on her mind.

“Is something wrong?” he asked.

“Hm? Uh…no. It’s just…I’m just thinking about how we’re going to do this.”

“What is this?”

“You know, me and you and you working for my dad and maneuvering around my mom cause if she finds out that’s going to be a whole thing and…”

“Khana!”

“Oh my god, what if my aunt Kayla finds out!” she said while nervously gripping her glass cup.

“KHANA!”

Khana stopped rambling and looked at him, still anxiously gripping her glass cup of coffee. He turned down the heat and walked in front of her, now holding her other hand.

“Listen, I know that this is a lot, with me and your mom and everything but I really really like you, and I’m not totally sure what this is yet but I want to give it a shot, crazy family or not. Ok?”

*sigh* “Ok.” said Khana while smiling.

“Now, how do pancakes sound?”

“Pancakes sound amazing!”

*kiss* “Coming right up.”
