Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja has been dating for two months now, and one of them has been getting impatient after barely being able to hold hands after their first month being together.
Yoo Joonghyuk, having had feelings for Kim Dokja for almost 2 years before they dated, just can't wait any longer. And Kim Dokja although being older by one year(yjh=16) is unfortunately, very oblivious and hadn't noticed the way Yoo Joonghyuk had started touching his face more often.
Well, Yoo Joonghyuk is finally going to ask Kim Dokja to kiss him for the first time. He had a meticulously planned date coming this weekend and he's determined to get Kim Dokja to kiss him.
Yoo Joonghyuk, as usual would wait for Kim Dokja after school to go home together. And Yoo Joohyuk took the opportunity to ask him on a date. Kim Dokja was shocked at the question and looked like a tomato, given how red he was. And said yes quietly, after a few seconds of silence that felt like an eternity.
Both Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk was extremely nervous for the date they had on Sunday, and kept thinking about each other even during class. Kim Dokja felt extremely flustered each time he met Yoo Joonghyuk’ s eyes even if they were holding hands.
And eventually, Saturday came and Yoo Joonghyuk steeled his balls for the big question that he'll ask later in the day. Yoo Joonghyuk went to Kim Dokja’ s house two hours earlier than the assigned time (10am) so that he can pick him up without Kim Dokja having to wait and so that he could gather his thoughts as well.
An hour later Kim Dokja came out of his house and was surprised to see Yoo Joonghyuk already waiting outside the door. Kim Dokja apologized for making him wait, while Yoo Joonghyuk lied and said he had only just arrived. Greeted Kim Dokja’ s parent's Yoo Joonghyuk and they both said their goodbyes.
Kim Dokja got inside Yoo Joonghyuk’ s car(his parent's) and the latter followed shortly after. Kim Dokja had no idea on what they were going to do and just has chaos racking up inside his mind. He tried to distract himself by looking at the window the whole time, but with Yoo Joonghyuk being there, he felt self conscious and just can't stop thinking about him.
This was their first date ever! And Kim Dokja was nervous! What if he'll embarrass himself by falling on the ground or something? He has never had any experience with love and was only ever interested in books. He couldn't understand how he was able to make Yoo Joonghyuk fall in love with him!
‘He probably already has experience before..’
What Kim Dokja didn't know was that Yoo Joonghyuk was also on the same wavelength as him. He's just as nervous because he's never done any of this. Despite being the most handsome boy in the school, he always refused the confessions he's received as he's always thought they were bothersome.
And.. that was before he met Kim Dokja, a boy who has few friends and whose head was always in the books. Before he knew it, he started paying more attention to him. He would be jealous when he saw Kim Dokja talking with Han Sooyoung, a girl who was the opposite of Kim Dokja. Each time he saw them walking down the halls together, he would feel his heart ache.
And he had set his mind onto becoming Kim Dokja’ s friend, he tried to spark conversations with him and listen to what he had to say about his favorite book. He found out that Kim Dokja’ s favorite character was similar to him, and that made Kim Dokja trust him much faster. After Yoo Joonghyuk found out that they live close by, he offered to go home together.
Kim Dokja was definitely surprised when Yoo Joonghyuk said he was 15, as he looked alot older and was quite tall for his age. Yoo Joonghyuk of course knew that Kim Dokja was already 16 but pretended to not know. After that, Yoo Joonghyuk started calling Kim Dokja Hyung as it seemed to be Kim Dokja’ s weakness.
After they got older, Yoo Joonghyuk started to notice the way Kim Dokja would blush after seeing him, and the way Kim Dokja would slowly move away when they're walking side by side. Yoo Joonghyuk was convinced Kim Dokja liked him! He confessed his feelings to Kim Dokja, and Kim Dokja muttered a yes that was hardly recognizable but Yoo Joonghyuk could hear it even a mile away.
And a couple months later, they will finally take a step forward into their relationship.
They arrived in front of a theater where Yoo Joonghyuk picked a movie that Kim Dokja had recently talked about, wanting to watch it since it was adapted from one of his beloved novels. They sat right beside each other, where Yoo Joonghyuk watched Kim Dokja’ s expression that basically showed his thoughts. Kim Dokja, who was caught up with the movie didn't notice Yoo Joonghyuk’ s gaze that was on him the whole time.
The only time Kim Dokja noticed Yoo Joonghyuk’ s presence was when he held his hand. Kim Dokja became self conscious and started to pay less attention on the movie and more on Yoo Joonghyuk. Kim Dokja’ s ears was tinted red after that and they exited the theater with both of them acting like robots.
Yoo Joonghyuk asked Kim Dokja to have lunch at a nearby cafe and Kim Dokja agreed. Afterwards, Yoo Joonghyuk drove him to an amusement park. Kim Dokja couldn't win any of the plush prizes but Yoo Joonghyuk came in clutch and won a huge Dokkaebi plush that was half the size of Kim Dokja’ s body.
The sun had set, so Yoo Joonghyuk drove Kim Dokja home. They stood at the door, holding hands and gazing into each other's eyes. When Yoo Joonghyuk slowly leaned into Kim Dokja. Yoo Joonghyuk’ s hand covered his eyes as their lips met. Yoo Joonghyuk pulled back and Kim Dokja’ s face was like a tomato.
“...d..did you enjoy today? ”
” Oh..y-yes..”
“ I'll.. I'll go back.. s-see you on Monday ..”
“..! Yes! I..I will! ”
Even after Yoo Joonghyuk had drove away, Kim Dokja was still in a daze. Meanwhile Yoo Joonghyuk’ s mind was completely filled with chaos. He couldn't believe that it just happened.
And so, both of them were late to school because they couldn't sleep at all thinking about what happened.
