    Kim Dokja’s grin didn’t falter. Instead of retreating with his tail between his legs, a white fog enveloped him. As if to confirm their suspicions, the fog let up to reveal the pair of snow-colored ears atop Kim Dokja’s head and the nine tails behind him — solid white flames that mocked the two before him.

    “This is why I hate dogs,” he grumbled, his lips easily falling into an irritated frown. “You mutts’ sense of smell is a real inconvenience to me.”
