Title: Adventurer’s Love
Bennett had a crush on Razor for a while, they were friends and the two of them had always just respected each other’s space. But one day, Bennett had a different idea. “Hey Razor, wanna go a boar hunting trip with me?”
Razor's face lit up with surprise and enthusiasm. "Okay, Bennett!" he replied happily. He was always happy to hunt with someone and had never gotten the opportunity to go hunting for boars with Bennett before.
Bennett was felt nervous "Shall we go now?"
"Yes!" Razor exclaimed. The two of them headed out of Mondstadt city gates and into the forests. Razor had hunted in this forest before and knew a lot about it, while Bennett had a bit of trouble because of his bad luck.
The two travelled through the forest for a while, keeping their eyes peeled for signs of boar tracks. Suddenly, Bennett spotted something. "There, over there!" He pointed to a small clearing. "I see movement."
Razor and Bennett cautiously approached the clearing in the forest. As they got closer, they could see boars frolicking around. "Look at that." Bennett said excitedly. "A whole flock. And they seem unguarded. Let's be quick and get them before any other hunters catch them."
Razor nodded his head and readied his claymore while Bennett took out his sword, they planned on dividing the boars equally between the two of them.
"On the count of three we attack," Bennett whispered. "One, two, three!" He jumped into the clearing, sword in hand.
Razor also pounced, ready to strike. The boars were still unaware of their presence and started to run in fear. "Now's our chance!" Bennett yelled to razor. "Get as many as you can!"
Razor and Bennett worked together to take down the boars as quickly as possible and with only a few minutes they had successfully got most of them.
Razor and Bennett stood up from the bodies of all the boars they had taken down. Panting with their weapons still in their hand, they looked at each other.
Razor let out a breath of relief. "Wow, we did it," he said. "Looks like we can eat well tonight," he said with a smirk as he turned to Razor. "Bennett, fun hunting," he added.
Bennett also looked excited but he couldn't speak. For he was busy staring at Razor.
"Bennett?" Razor asked his new friend curiously. “Something is wrong? Why look at Razor?"
Bennett quickly turned away. "Oh nothing. Sorry, for a second I thought you were someone else."
"Bennett thought Razor was someone else?" Razor’s face was confused. "Who?"
"Um...nevermind." Bennett was starting to show signs of embarrassment, he didn't want to explain himself to Razor.
The sun was starting to set as the two of them sat by the campfire, waiting for the meat to cook.
"Bennett," Razor said as he grabbed a stick to poke the boar's meat in the fire, "Play game?"
Bennett thought for a moment before he nodded in agreement. "Sure, I wouldn't mind playing a game."
Razor thought of a game they could play when suddenly his eyes lit up. "I have game idea!" He turned to his companion. "Does Bennett want to play it?" He asked excitedly.
"Yes, of course, tell me about it!" Bennett said as he got up from sitting at the campfire and walked towards Razor.
"Very fun game," Razor said excitingly. "It's question and answer game, I ask first?"
"Alright, give me a question," Bennett said as he sat down to listen to Razor's question.
"Okay," Razor said as he thought hard to find a good question.
"Bennett’s favorite spot?"
Bennett thought for a while. "That's an easy one, my favorite spot is in front of the cathedral. I like going there to relax and pray there. What about you, Razor? What's your favorite spot in Mondstadt?"
"You know outside of monstadt with all the wolves?" Razor asked.
Bennett nodded. "Yes, what about it?"
Razor continued. "I like to be free, in the wild. I'm not like you Bennett, I don’t like being surrounded by people all the time."
Bennett looked at Razor with surprising. "I didn't know that," he said with a soft voice.
After many rounds of asking questions and answering them, Bennett finally started to reveal his deeper feelings towards Razor.
"Can I ask you something Razor?" Bennett said softly. "It's a personal question."
Razor nodded. "Okay Bennett."
"What..." Bennett looked away and sighed. "What do you think about me?"
Razor looked at his friend who was now hiding his face in shame. "Bennett is nice," he said reassuringly. "Also talks a lot."
Bennett took a deep breath, then looked at Razor and spoke calmly. "I think...I think I have feelings for you."
Razor's eyes widened in surprise, and he couldn't help but let out a small gasp. "You? Feelings for Razor?" He asked in disbelief.
Bennett's face turned bright red from embarrassment, and he nodded silently. "I don’t know Bennett," Razor said softly. "I thought we are friends?"
Bennett looked at Razor with hopeful eyes. "I know, and we are just friends," he said. "And I don't want to change that. But I can't deny how I feel. I'm sorry if that makes things between us uncomfortable."
Razor thought for a moment, then he sighed and said slowly, "I feel the same way."
Bennett looked at him and smiled. "Oh, really? What do you say about us starting to hang out as more than friends?" He asked.
Razor's eyes lit up when he heard that. "Yes!” he said with a bright smile. "I feel nervous but happy!"
"I'm glad," Bennett replied.
Before they knew it, it was already dark outside. They both looked around and realized how late it was.
Bennett looked at Razor once more before he stood up. "Do you want to go stargazing tonight?" He asked his friend quietly.
Razor thought about it for a moment before saying, "Ok! Stars are really beautiful."
"Oh yes, they certainly are." Bennett said softly. "Follow me." He began walking in one direction of the forest, hoping that Razor would follow.
The two of them walked through the dark forest, with Bennett taking the lead. After a while, they stopped in a small clearing in the forest.
Razor looked at his friend and noticed that the sky was clear, allowing them to see the stars more clearly.
"Looks like we made it to a good spot," Razor said with a bright smile. They both laid down on the soft grass and looked up at the night sky.
Suddenly, Bennett looked over at Razor and spoke softly, "Hey Razor?"
Razor looked at Bennett, “Remember the first time we met? You know how I believe in things like fate?” Bennett questioned
"Yes I remember," Razor nodded slowly. "Why, Bennett?"
Bennett stayed silent for a moment. "Well, I'm starting to think that I was right," he said quietly. "I think this was fate. You can laugh if you want."
Razor stayed silent for a moment, processing what Bennett had just told him. "Fate?" he said with a soft smile. "I think you might be right," he said after some time. "You know, I'm starting to think about fate more too."
"What do you mean by that, Razor?" Bennett asked curiously.
Razor looked at his friend and said, “Fate bring Bennett to Razor. it was meant for us to meet."
"I think you're right," Bennett said softly. "I think this was something special, how lucky am I, right?"
The End
