poetry about my queerplatonic love

Summary:

My queerplatonic partner and I have been like this 🤝 (a hand holding another hand emoji) since we were little kids. Anyway, sometimes I get a lot of feelings, so I write poems about him.

Notes:

I needed some queerplatonic poetry and since I couldn’t really find any, I decided to make some about my own QPR.

Chapter 1: Not in That Sense

Chapter Text

We’re not in love,

at least not in that sense,

but I do love you

and you love me.

We aren’t romantic;

we don’t go on romantic dates,

no, we’d rather play Super Mario Bros. in his room together,

but we do cuddle

and when I see him, I want to kiss him ‘hello’

and when he goes, I want to kiss him ‘goodbye’,

but not in that sense.

He’s my best friend,

but he’s not just my best friend,

I want us to live together,

I want us to be together forever,

but I don’t want us to get married.

I’m perfectly okay with you dating people

and I know you’re okay with me doing the same;

As long as I’m still allowed to be with you in our own, odd way,

I won’t be jealous.

I’m not sexually attracted to you,

I don’t want us to have sex,

but I love to be intimate with you,

I love holding your hand,

or laying in your arms.

It’s like we’re Aladdin and Jasmine

and The Fox and the Hound at the same time,

I love you,

but not in that sense.
