Tony is still in his workshop, another binge swallowing him. He gladly accepts the mug DUM-E handed to him and gulps it down without even looking at what was inside. No oil taste tho at least he is not going to get poisoned. Probably. Possibly.

Steve walks in, or Tony suspects he did because when he turns around to look at the result of his little experiment on the conductivity of noble gasses Steve is standing there, eyes puffy with sleep. Tony promises him they’d go to bed soon.

Steve is now sleeping on the couch, the sound of the bots already lulling him to sleep. Tony should have taken his boyfriend to bed some time ago, yet he can’t convince his brain.

Tony himself must have fallen asleep too, because there are large hands now cradling him, carrying him to their room. He loves this man so much.

Steve’s alarm wakes Tony up momentarily, he grumbles something before he lets sleep take him over.

He must be getting soft because Steve runs back to the tower halfway in. Now the prospect of laying in bed and sketching a sleepy Tony seems more important than exercise.

The sketch of Tony sleeping, his naked back illuminated by the first light of sun shining from the window is turning up better than Steve expected.

Little kisses find their way to Tony’s neck, then his lips, then all over his face. With a soft smile on his face, he opens his eyes. An apology escapes Steve’s lips in between wet open mouthed kisses.

Tony is downstairs ready to get into his car for another boring day filled with meetings, begging Steve to leave the bike at the tower and join him so they can spend more time together. The day Steve refuses any of his requests, it’ll mean he is abducted and replaced by aliens.

Steve smiles down on his phone when Tony’s text informs him he is already bored and can not wait to come home and finish what they have started this morning.

After the first drill of the day is over, Steve finds Nat to get a cup of coffee. Not horrible Shield coffee tho, Tony spoiled him too much for that.

Tony gets elbowed on his ribs for falling asleep at the meeting. And no it didn’t matter to Pepper if he was sleeping with his eyes open or not.

During the official Shield lunch break, Steve spends his free time texting Tony about the burrito bowl Clint got him while Clint himself makes gagging noises and makes fun of him for acting like a teenager.

Steve is beet red during a meeting with Fury because apparently his boyfriend has no concept of what is decent or not and is totally okay with sending lewd texts while at work. He kinda loves it.

Tony is done with meetings and on his way to the tower. He has been begging for Steve to make an excuse and leave work early for the past 27 minutes. He sends one more text in the car for good measure

Tony drops his phone on the ground upon seeing Steve on their bed, sprawled, naked, with a ribbon tied. If he had any doubts about marrying this man before, they are all gone now.

Steve wasn’t joking when he said he could do this all day… Three rounds? Impressive even for a supersoldier.

While enjoying their food in bed, on top of clean sheets, Tony can not find it in him to keep his eyes open. Sleeping while resting against Steve, all tired and satiated with a full belly, life doesn’t get any better than that.

With each passing day Steve is getting more and more used to this century and its benefits. He can take a cute video of Tony softly snoring on his phone and he thanks every universal power for landing him in here.

A commotion sound wakes them both up. Apparently playing a practical joke on Thor about Bruce is not a good idea, Clint learned the hard way.

A nice stroll around Central Park and ice cream dates might be cliche but Steve loves every second of it. They both can use some normalcy among the chaos of their lives.

Tony might have a tactical genius for a boyfriend but he does suck at Battleship for a Captain.

Like the grandpa he is, Steve is in bed early. But tonight he manages to convince Tony to not go down to his workshop with the promise of a backrub, at least for now. Seeing the light of the arc reactor at night makes him feel all safe and cozy.

Steve is sound asleep, placing a kiss on his cheek and pushing a few strands of hair off his face, Tony slips away down to his workshop because he had an idea about breathing monitoring systems in all of Avengers’ suits. He tells J to alert him if Steve wakes up or has a nightmare.
