Work Text:
You had been a part of the task force for a couple years now, going on missions with almost everyone by now. Though, there was one man you hadn't gone on many missions with. Konig. He was a beast of a man, standing at 6'10, dwarfing anyone he stood next to. You got along well with everyone in the 141, but when it came to Konig, everything turned awkward anf uncomfortable quick. Even when other people were in the room, it was like there was some strange secret they all knew except you, noticing the wary glances they gave each other. None of it mattered now, you were a soldier, you weren't here to make friends, you were here to fight for your country. You took in a deep breathe, inhaling the smell of gunpowder and dust. You were on a mission with the German himself, the entire time had been incredibly awkward. Not that you talked a lot when you were on missions with anyone else, but it was a more comfortable silence. Even Ghost would crack a joke every now and then when paired with you. You had received inside Intel about a group of enemies, there were only about twenty with the information you'd been given. Which was why you and Konig were the only two on this mission. Alone. God you couldn't take the silence, it felt suffocating. Usually when you were on missions with Konig there were others who came along, softening the rigid atmosphere between you and this hulk of a man. The men where in a broken down and abandoned building, basically in the middle of nowhere. You assumed it was an abandoned airport, seeing a few heaps of metal that seemed to resemble some kind of aircraft and the long runways. The file had little to no information about the location, or men really, the question of why there wasn't more preparation scratching at the inside of your skull. It just seemed.. off. Of course you had brought this up, to which Price shared a glance with Konig, the kind that showed off they knew something you didn't.
" It'll all be fine, Konig should be more than capable to take down a few men. "
Price had assured, which irritated you, what was so damn important that they weren't telling you? It made your blood boil, it's not like you were some new recruit who had just checked in. Your rambling thoughts distracted you from the uncomfortable silence, Konig looking at you for a moment, as a way of asking if you were ready to breach the building. He gave him a lazy nod, having to crane your neck just to look up at him. Your muscles tensed, clicking your rifle off safety and holding it up so you could look through the scope with ease. You covered Konig, walking behind him and looking around, tension between your shoulders preparing you for gun fire. He walked into a wide open area in the decomposing structure, looking around, but seeing no one.. they should've been here. That same off feeling wriggled it's way into your brain again, this wasn't like any other mission, you should've found them by now. As soon as you finished your last thought the man in front of you yelled something in German, a bad habit of his, especially since you don't speak the language. You were left in confusion before you felt a large force knock you back, a loud sound accompanying it. A bomb. They set off a bomb. They had to have known you were coming, was the Intel faulty? Was this going to turn into a suicide mission? You opened your eyes, your heart thrumming in your chest as dust and debris settled. You could feel your ears ringing, the drums of them being broken from the loud explosion and impact. Your body was slouched against a concrete wall, feeling the ache in you back and the pain in your head. You reached a hand to the back of your skull, feeling a warm liquid, shit. Were you concussed? Non of it mattered, you threw yourself up, the explosion had thrown you into another a room. You had to find Konig, and make sure he wasnt being ambushed. You rushed through a doorway, looking frantically before spotting the beast of a man. You had seen him fight on the field, he was an animal, but he was nothing near similar to that now. His strength and movement almost looked inhuman.
You were about to help before you noticed him stop for a moment. His hulking figure seemed to grow, clothing and gear ripped from his back. You couldn't wrap your mind around it, he stood at eight feet now, his mask still stuck in place. It seemed the people who had been fighting him didn't know what was going either, because they froze up while witnessing the impossible. His body seemed to twist and distort in a sickening way, hands tearing through gloves and ending in long black claws. The worst part had to be his back, it almost seemed to bubble before long black appendages seemed to stretch out of it, beginning to ooze with a kind of black oil like liquid. They were tentacles, long black tendrals, thick and slimy, it seemed they couldn't grip anything, that was until to rows of sharp bone like spikes were revealed on the bottom of each tendril. Between the rows laid a sickening line of suction cups, resembling an octopus if it wasnt for the rows of teeth. The same appendages seemed to slip from his mask, lifting the mask and baclava from his face. Your body froze, you couldn't move, all you could do was stand and watch. The new fleshy appendages seemed to writhe for a long moment, everyone in the room completely dumbfounded and terrified. Once his mask was lifted off to reveal his face it was grotesque, a face full of tentacles and a large, gaping, mouth. Withing the dark void there were teeth, rows and rows and rows of sharp jagged yellow teeth that begged to taste flesh. A tentacle reached for the closest man, teeth digging into his flesh, squeezing a muffled cry from him. He flailed and yelled, but Konig calmly opened the large abyss that was his mouth, and in on swift movement, latched onto the soldiers face. While he terrorized the one man the countless appendages on his back reached for soldiers, throwing them against walls and most likely killing them on impact. If he caught the few that ran he would grip a limb, letting the sharp teeth on his tendrils dig into their skin, before dislocating the limp completely. But he didn't stop there, he would pull and pull until the flesh ripped away from itself, leaving the tendons attached so the the useless part would dangle from their bodies like a Christmas ornament.
He pulled away from the main man who he was feasting upon, ripping his face clean off in the process. You could see bone before it was covered by a wash of crimson. He picked up another, shoving a black appendages down his throat and ripping out his esophagus thanks to the spikes. The room was full of screaming and the tearing of muscle, you'd never be able to get that out fo your head. You were scared, so scared that you just stood there, watching this all unfold. Your body refused to move, standing there like a deer that thought no one could see it. A gunshot rung out, interrupting the carnage bestowed upon you. The Austrian Dropped every single person he was torturing, looking at the shot clean through his shoulder before snapping his head around to see the shooter. The only person still standing besides you and Konig. The monster whipped over to him with more speed than you could process, and neither could his soon to be victim. He mumbled a few curses in German, his voice horribly distorted from his recent transformation. He grabbed a hold of the man, one tendril shoved down his throat immediately and ripped it's way through his stomach. He asked a question in his first language, voice still making your skin crawl awfully. It seemed once he pulled the appendage away and the man started screaming he simply twisted his head off, growing tired of the shrill sounds. You had seen blood before, but this? This was a sick game he played just for kicks. He let go of the body, shrinking back to his regular height, tendrils snaking up his face and back again until he looked like his regular self. The room was quiet, no one left to scream. He flipped his mask back over his head, looking over to be met with your shaking figure. His eyes crinkled under the mask, signaling that he was smiling at you. In all truth he thought you had died on impact, which was one of the reasons why he had just massacred twenty men so brutally.
He was absolutely covered in blood, slipping on his tore up gloves as he stared at you with predatory eyes.
" Ah, hello Liebe "
