Summary
They had left him slumped against the wall, wrist bruised by the cuff latched too tightly around it. He couldn’t remember them leaving, couldn’t remember much more than brief flashes of what they did to him which was probably a blessing. It will be worse next time. The leader will think he’s successfully broken Illya in, and when he discovers that he hasn’t, he will be merciless. Illya could dissociate on command. He had stockpiled skills in his toolkit to protect himself from torture. He just had to survive long enough for Napoleon and Gaby to bring the calvary to rescue him.
He just had to survive. He had to figure out what they wanted, why they’re so angry with him.
illya encounters some old enemies while on a mission back home in russia. it goes very badly for him.
