Observation

Summary:

Professor Min and Professor Park's relationship through the eyes of their students.

Notes:

I have no idea what this is honestly. It just came to me all of a sudden and it's a whole mess. Also trigger warning, there's a short section where a student is bullied and there's homophobic language. If you're uncomfortable with it you can skip the beginning of the Park Jisan Pov and start again when Jimin says "What's going on here?"

Also, this is not beta read so feel free to point out the mistakes.

Work Text:

1.Moon Soyoon

Soyoon was late.

Last night, she and her roommate binged a new Kdrama and they went to bed late. This morning, her alarm gave up on her and she woke up disoriented and 20 minutes late. She rushed to the Art building, praying to all entities above that please let the Professor not already be there, but she's out of luck.

As she nears the classroom, she can hear a male voice going over the basics of the semester. She's so screwed. Everyone in the music department knew Professor Min hated sluggish students. She took a deep breath and then slowly opened the door.

The man standing in front of the class didn't look as intimidating as everyone described Professor Min to be. He was short, with a dancer's figure. He had a beautiful face with squishy cheeks and lips pulled into a bright smile. He was wearing a soft sweater over a pair of slacks that highlighted his strong dancer's thigh. Was this man really a music professor?

"I'm sorry, Professor", Soyoon was quick to apologise.

"It's okay, it's okay", Professor Min ushered her in a cheerful tone, "come take a seat. We're just going through the basics."

Soyoon gave a relieved sigh. Maybe Professor Min was in a good mood today. Whatever the reason may be, she was glad he wasn't angry at her. She took a seat and began listening to the lecture.

30 minutes into it and Soyoon felt she was in the wrong lecture.

"Umm, excuse me Professor?" she raised her hand timidly and Professor Min (?) looked at her, smile still plastered on his face.

"Yes, Miss...?"

"Moon Soyoon, sir. Is this Music Theory 101?"

As soon as the question left her mouth, the entire demeanor of the professor seemed to change.

"Not again", he murmured under his breath, irritation visible on his face. "Miss Moon, please pack your things. I'll personally escort you to Music Theory 101."

Soyoon gulped as the entire class stared at her. A boy sitting at the front row gave her a sympathetic look as she hastily packed up her belongings and followed the professor out of the class, internally praying for her survival. They walked straight down the corridor and turned right and finally arrived after what felt like a lifetime to Soyoon but was probably only a few minutes.

"Min Yoongi, I have another one of your stragglers ", the professor declared, barging right in and stopping Professor Min Yoongi in the middle of his lecture.

Moon Soyoon understood very well why everyone else was scared of Min Yoongi. He was about the same height as this professor but had completely different persona. Where this professor had appeared bubbly and kind and friendly, Min Yoongi looked cold and indifferent and downright scary. His cat like eyes were now glaring at the other professor for interrupting his lecture but he didn't seem to notice as he raised an eyebrow in annoyance.

"Seriously Min, when are you going to give them proper directions of your classroom?" the Professor continues, seemingly not bothered by Min Yoongi's death glare, "This is the 3rd time it's happened that one of yours has ended up in my lecture and it's only the beginning of the term."

"I don't know, Park", Min Yoongi drawls at last, "maybe when you start taking your classes in your designated classroom rather than hogging mine?"

And Min Yoongi smirked at Professor Park, who Soyoon realised must be the professor of dance, Park Jimin. Professor Park gave him a cold, calculative look and answered:

"That room belongs to me. You can go and ask the Dean if you want to."

"Yeah right", Professor Min scoffs, "as if I don't know how much you buttered the Dean to get that room. Seriously Park, just hold your lectures in the dance studio. Why bother with a classroom when half your lessons are spent there anyway?"

Professor Park gave him a dangerous smile, teeth and all and replied, "Then why not relocate yours at the Music Room. After all, half of your classes are eventually gonna be spent there, is it not?"

There was an unspoken glaring contest between the two professors after the statement and Soyoon felt uncomfortable with all the tensions surrounding the two men. She was wondering how to break this charged air when Professor Min finally relented and broke the silence stretching between them:

"As much as I would like to keep arguing with you, Park, I've got a lesson to complete and was in the middle of a very important lecture. So if you will please." He gestures at the door.

"Of course I'll leave. It's not like I've got this desire to interrupt your lectures when I was in the middle of my own. I was only here to return one of your lost ducklings. Now that she's here, I'm leaving."

And with that, Professor Park spun around his heels and walked briskly out of the classroom, leaving a very scared and confused Soyoon behind. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice her professor speaking to her, until a throat was cleared near her.

"Oh, um, sorry sir", Soyoon apologised immediately, mentally cursing herself for blanking out in front of Min Yoongi. "I didn't mean to get lost and end up in the wrong lecture hall or cause any problems between you and Professor Park. It's just that I was late and..."

"Miss Moon", Professor Min gently interrupted, making her shut up and look at the professor, who was smiling slightly, "I'm not mad at you. Please take a seat and attend the lecture."

Soyoon's surprise was perhaps written on her face because then Min Yoongi really smiled and Soyoon was sure she was dead because it was a well known fact that Professor Min rarely ever smiles. She gave him another bow and rushed to find a seat, all the while thinking what just happened.

The only clear thought she had was that Professor Park and Professor Min must not like each other.

2.Kim Haerim

Haerim was trying to concentrate on her lecture which was really a herculean task, considering she's best friend with Shin Aecha. Aecha and her have known each other since high school. Haerim was a shy, introverted girl back then and she was scared how high school would treat her, considering she has seen loads of dramas where the shy ones are subjected to bullying. But on her first day of high school, she had the good fortune of meeting Shin Aecha, the bubbly extrovert, who immediately took a liking to the cute, shy girl and they became best friends.

But being friends with Aecha also had a set of drawbacks, like now. Professor Park was talking about the intricacies of classical music in dance forms and Haerim was trying very hard to pay attention. But Aecha kept pinching her arm. At last, she gave in.

"What?" she hissed, irritated by her friend's inability to take a hint.

"Have you noticed Professor Park's shirt?" Aecha whispers, seemingly unaware of her friend's irritation.

Haerim looked at her professor's outfit. Professor Park was wearing a basic black t-shirt paired with a yellow and black checkered flannel over his usual black slacks. It appeared normal to her but apparently something was wrong with it according to her friend.

"What's wrong with it?" she asked, still trying to concentrate on what the professor was saying.

"Did we not see it somewhere?" Aecha whispered back and Haerim wanted to punch her in her face.

"It's a shirt, Aecha. Hundreds of people have the same shirt. We could've seen it anywhere."

"No, no", Aecha shook her head vehemently, "I'm pretty sure we saw it this morning, in this building itself. I just can't seem to place where."

Haerim sighed. There goes her best friend and her weird analogies. They've had three classes since the morning, including Professor Min's music theory at 7.30 in the morning.

Professor Min was another professor Aecha was too invested in, probably because he was a pretty private person aside from his very public quarrel with Professor Park. The entire Art department knew that the professors of music and dance hated each other. When they were Freshmen, they'd even heard rumours that once, at a teacher's party, Professor Park had attempted to attack Professor Min with a butter knife, only to be stopped by Professor Kim, their Art Professor, in time.

After a year of having both the professors in her schedule, Haerim is sure that they do hate each other a lot, maybe to the point of murdering each other. They fought over the most ridiculous of things and while it was entertaining to witness, it also scared them sometimes. Professor Park was normally a bubbly and energetic individual. Professor Min wasn't bad either, he had a calm aura around him even if he appeared downright scary at times. But when these two fought, it was terrifying to say the least.

But Aecha had a different theory as to why the two professors fought.

"I bet they want to fuck each other", Aecha had commented one day after witnessing a petty fight between the two professors. Haerim had promptly choked on her chicken sandwich.

"Please don't ever mention Professor Min and Park and fucking in the same sentence for the sake of humanity, Aecha", she had pleaded, after regaining her breathing ability.

Aecha had simply shrugged but it didn't mean she gave up on the possibility that the two men wanted to fuck each other, or maybe they were already fucking and they didn't know. Haerim knew it was delusional, but she let her be. But sometimes her best friend's delusions came with a cost, like right now.

"Aecha, it's a shirt. Maybe you saw someone at the campus wearing it this morning. Stop over analysing a shirt for fuck's sake and concentrate on the lecture before we both get kicked out."

That shut her up alright. Although, Haerim is pretty sure she didn't stop thinking about the shirt. The lecture thankfully ended without any more disruptions from Aecha's side. As they made their way out of lecture hall, Aecha suddenly pulled at her shirt sleeve.

"What?!" she asked, irritated at her best friend's behaviour.

"Look", Aecha hissed, excitement evident in her voice. Haerim followed her gaze to find her staring at Profess Min. "Do you see it?"

And Haerim did see it. Professor Min was wearing the same outfit as Professor Park. His was a white t-shirt paired with a white and black checkered flannel. If they didn't know any better, it would look like a couple's outfit. But Haerim wasn't delusional as her best friend. She knew it must be a coincidence that their professors were wearing matching outfits this morning.

"It's a shirt, Aecha. Anyone can own the same pair. Stop with your delusions."

"Yeah. But what if I'm right? Like, what if Min actually wants to fuck Park? Or if they're actually fucking? I mean, there's a possibility."

"Have you met them, Aecha? Everytime they fight, it seems like they are trying to murder each other. How can you even think about them wanting to fuck each other?"

"Because my dear friend, you're not looking at the subtext here."

"And I don't want to. Let's go before we're late for Professor Kim's class."

And she dragged her friend to the Art class, while trying to stop herself from thinking about her professors wanting to bone each other.

3.Park Jisan

"Hey ballerina", one of the jocks hollered as Jisan quickly made his way out of the lockers, not bothering to reply them.

Park Jisan was one of the few male students who had a dance major in the university and as soon as his roommate, who was a jock and a grade A asshole found out about it, his life has been hell. On top of that, they somehow found out that he was bisexual and was already dating a guy from the Drama department. The bullying had gone to the point where his roommate almost made him watch him fucking his girlfriend, except for the girl immediately breaking up with him, much to Jisan's relief. Later, the girl had flagged him down and apologized profusely and they were now good friends. She was the one who helped him move out from his previous room and in with his boyfriend. But the bullying hadn't stopped completely.

Right now, Jisan half runs towards the dorms while the group of boys follow him. He's apparently out of luck because they catch on to him in the middle of the quad.

"Where do you think you're going, fag?" their leader, Minjoon asks, holding him by the collar of his shirt.

"Let me go, Minjoon", Jisan asserts, even though he knows it will fall into deaf ears.

"Let you go?" Minjoon mocks, "And why would I do that, huh?"

"Because I asked you to", he answers back and it earns him a slap, as the rest of them laugh mockingly at him.

"Look at that. The ballerina is talking back. Tell you what, babydoll, why don't you give me a blowjob and I'll let you go, huh? How does that sound?"

Jisan spits on Minjoon's face, making his grip on his collar tighten.

"You've been growing bold, huh, fag?" Minjoon growls near his ear, "I think it's time we teach him a lesson. What do you say boys?"

There's a chorus of affirming screams and Jisan prays for his safety.

"What's going on here?" Professor Park's voice cuts out the joyous screams of the boys and Jisan has never been this happy to see his professor ever in his life. Minjoon's face pales at the sight of a professor.

"Nothing, sir", he's quick to let go off Jisan's collar and backed away a bit, along with his cronies. "We were just having a friendly argument."

"Friendly? " Professor Park asks, disbelief colouring his voice, "You call this friendly, Mr. Oh? I clearly heard you threatening my student."

"I- we didn't... That's not..."

It was fun watching six foot two inches tall Oh Minjoon stutter in front of Park Jimin. That was how scary the dance professor was, hiding underneath soft sweaters and bright smiles. Jisan admired him.

"Jimin-ah, what's going on?" Professor Min's voice almost made Jisan jump out of his skin. What was the music professor doing here? And also, did he just call Professor Park, Jimin-ah? What was going on?

"Nothing hyung, just teaching some assholes their place."

Professor Park's reply surprised Jisan even more. Hyung? Since when did Professor Park call Min Yoongi, hyung? Did he faint? Was he hallucinating? What the fuck was going on here?

Seconds later, Min Yoongi was standing beside Professor Park, glaring at Minjoon and his cronies, who appeared to have grown even paler if possible.

"We're really sorry, sir", one of them attempted to save themselves, "we didn't mean any of it..."

"Oh you better be sorry", Professor Park sassed, "cause I'll be having a word with your coach and let them know what you think about people like us."

Minjoon's face drained of all colours. He was downright shaking. Everyone knew about how strongly Coach Jeon advocated for LGBTQ+ community rights. It made everyone question if he was one of them or was he just an ally. Nobody knew his preferences of course but there has been quiet a lot of speculations, especially one involving the Art Professor, Kim Taehyung.

"Please sir", Minjoon began to beg only to be interrupted by Professor Min:

"Get out of here before I actually kick you out."

Minjoon and his cronies ran for their lives, leaving a very relieved but bewildered Jisan and his professors behind.

"Are you alright?" It's Professor Min who asked the question, bringing Jisan out of his thoughts. "They didn't do anything inappropriate, did they?"

Jisan shook his head, smiling slightly. "No sir. Professor Park arrived just in time."

"Those assholes", Professor Park muttered under his breath, "I should've kicked them in their balls. The gall of them, calling my student names..."

"Jimin-ah", Professor Min soothed, placing a hand on his shoulder, his voice gentle. Jisan stared in surprise as Professor Park seemed to calm down a bit at that and the fond look that Professor Min was giving him. Was he sick?

"I'll have a word with Jungkook, just you wait, Jisan", Professor Park assured and Jisan simply nodded his head, a bit too dumbfounded to form coherent sentences with what was going on in front of him.

"Don't punch him in the face this time", Professor Min said, fondness evident in his voice and Jisan watched Professor Park blush at that.

"That was one time, hyung. And he totally deserved it for making Tae cry."

Min Yoongi gave a soft chuckle at the comment and Jisan was sure he had hit his head somewhere because not only were the declared arch enemies having a civilised conversation, they were even addressing each other like they were friends, not to mention the fond looks and the teasing. What was actually going on? Did he fall asleep and fall into an alternate universe where Professor Min and Park were actually friends? Might be the case.

"Can you go back on your own?" Professor Min asked him gently and Jisan nodded his again, unable to find his voice.

"Good. Stay safe, kid. And if those assholes bother you again, inform me or Professor Park or Professor Kim Taehyung or Coach Jeon and we'll deal with them, okay?"

Jisan nodded again and bid his professors goodbye, all the while wondering what just happened.

The next morning, when Jisan found the two professors arguing again about who gets to use the music room for the day, he's forced to think that all of last night's encounter was some weird hallucination his brain conjured up for him to cope from his traumatic experience because no way in any universe could these two men be actually fond of each other.

4.Song Jiwaa

Jiwaa was supposed to reach the studio 30 minutes ago. Instead, she had been held back by her English Professor, who was reprimanding her for her mistakes in her latest assignment. Some days, she wanted to murder her English Professor. She ran all the way to the dance studio and when she opened the doors, it wasn't the usual warm smile of Professor Park that greeted her. Instead it was Professor Jung who gave her an equally sunshine bright smile and ushered her in.

"Look at you, you're panting", Professor Jung said, concern evident in his voice. "Did you run all the way here?"

Jiwaa simply nodded her head and Professor Jung made her sit down and rest.

"Where's Professor Park?" she asked the girl beside her, who shrugged.

"Called in sick. Thank God. Now we won't have to hear them quarrel, again."

Jiwaa simply nodded her head. The music students would be here too. They're practicing together for an upcoming event, although, with Professor Min and Park being present in the same room meant that there was less practicing and more arguments.

Jiwaa didn't get the point of their fights, honestly. Sometimes it felt as if they were fighting for the sake of it and none of them actually put any effort into the insults they throw at each other. If she didn't know any better, she would think that they even sounded outright fond with their name callings.

The practice began without any hitch. Professor Jung Hoseok usually taught juniors. He specialised in hip-hop choreography and was known to have choreographed for several idol groups. He was really cool, talented and downright wonderful person and the students adored him, alongside Professor Park, who specialised in the more classical form of dancing. Practice was fun with Professor Jung and although they were all sophomores here, he taught them all with a lot of care.

Halfway through their practice, the music students came followed by Professor Min, who appeared a bit drawn to himself. The practice with the music students continued albeit a bit half heartedly. Somehow, all of them seemed to miss the constant bickering of their two professors and even though Professor Jung made up for the absence of Professor Park with his bright personality and kind words and funny jokes, still there was something amiss, especially with how pale and drawn Professor Min looked.

It was during the break that Jiwaa overheard a conversation between Professor Min and Jung that made her a bit puzzled.

"You look like death warmed over, hyung", Professor Jung was saying, "Did you get any sleep last night?"

Professor Min shook his head and if possible his face turned a bit anxious.

"Has the fever not broken yet?"

"It broke in the morning and he practically threw me out of the apartment, saying I should oversee the progress of this damned event", Professor Min scoffed. "Mrs. Chu called a few moments ago telling me that his fever has returned after lunch and she has already given him medicine and he's asleep."

"He's gonna be fine, hyung", Professor Jung says sincerely.

"I know, Hoba. But I should be there with him not here, overseeing practice for this God damn event."

"You do know why he threw you out, right? You tend to get a bit overwhelming when you're worried, especially over him. Remember that Halloween party in junior year? He was drunk as a skunk and had a hell of a hangover the next morning and you didn't leave his side once, even when he vomited all over your favourite leather jacket."

Professor Min smiled a bit at that.

"God he was such a dork back then", he said fondness evident in his voice. "I knew I loved him back then, you know. When he was going on about what an asshole his ex was, drunk as hell and freshly ruining my leather jacket, I knew I loved that idiot."

"Of course you did, hyung", Professor Jung replies, smiling warmly.

Just then, Professor Min's cell rings and their conversation is disrupted. Jiwaa goes back to practice trying to discern what she just heard. Was this Professor Min's illusive husband that they were talking about? Was he ill? Was that why Professor Min looked so anxious and pale?

Everyone knew Professor Min was married but no one knew to whom, because the professor was a pretty private person. A few years back, some of the seniors gathered a bit of courage and asked the professor about whether his 'wife' was the most beautiful woman in his life to which he had smiled and replied that indeed his 'husband' was one of the most beautiful man in his life. And so they got to know that their music professor was indeed homosexual and was married to a man whom he loved and admired deeply. But that was all they knew about the illusive husband of Professor Min.

Jiwaa cleared her head of the thoughts and concentrated on practice. And when Professor Min came back after his phone call, she failed to notice that he appeared a bit more relaxed now and even smiled when Professor Jung asked if everything was alright.

5. Choi Hajoon

Hajoon was half an hour early for practice. He sighed and walked up the steps of the Art building, hoping to catch Professor Min alone, so that he can go over the mistake he's been making on his recent piece. As he neared the music room, he heard somebody playing the piano. It was a piece he has never heard before and whoever was playing, was playing it quite beautifully.

Hajoon slowly opened the door and took a peak inside. What he saw almost made his eyes bulge out.

Professor Min was playing the piano, eyes closed as if he knew the notes by heart, a look of peace and happiness in his face which always seemed to come over the man whenever he was composing something. But what surprised Hajoon was that Professor Park was also there and he was filming Professor Min. With a fond smile on his face.

Was Hajoon still in his bed and not here in the Music Room? He pinched himself to determine if he was asleep and it hurt like hell. So this wasn't a fevered dream. He was actually witnessing one of the arch nemesis filming the other playing piano, with a fond look on his face.

What in the world was happening?

When Professor Min finsihed playing, he gave Professor Park a wide gummy smile which the other man returned with his own bright grin, turning his eyes into little crescents.

"You still remember it?" Professor Park's voice was full of awe and adoration.

"Of course, I do", Professor Min replied, a gentle smile on his face, "How can I forget the things I've gifted you, hmm?"

And Professor Park blushed profusely at that which led Professor Min to laugh fondly.

"You're such a tease", Professor Park reprimanded, although there was no heat in his voice.

"I can't help myself when I'm in the presence of the most beautiful man I've ever met."

If possible, that made Professor Park blush darker and he shoved at Professor Min, who gave a full blown chuckle and was soon followed by Professor Park.

Hajoon slowly closed the door and stepped away from the music room. He has been a Music and Drama double major for four years now. And in these four years, he has witnessed several instances where Professor Min and Park have come this close to murdering each other. Seeing them in such a soft and romantic setting was disorienting to him. He needed to get away from here and come back when the professors were behaving normally and not like some newly wed couple.

He needed caffeine to wake himself up properly because no way that really happened. He must've just dreamt up the scenario due to his lack of sleep.

With that thought, Hajoon rushed out of the Art building to the campus coffee shop, trying to get the image of his professors being all lovey-dovey and romantic out of his head.

6. Min Yoongi

The apartment was dark and quiet as Yoongi entered. From the living room he could hear a faint humming and he smiled to himself as he softly padded towards the source of the voice.

He stood leaning against the entryway of his living room, taking in the scene in front of him. His husband was singing softly to their 3 year old son whilst trying to put him to sleep. His husband had a beautiful voice which made it a bit sad that he chose not to pursue music. He would've been a sensation, something Yoongi had often told him since their college days, which in turn, had made the younger man blush profusely, a proud little smile on his face. Right now, listening to his husband hum an old lullaby while soothing their son to sleep, Yoongi felt he has been truly blessed.

His son is the one to spot him, even through his sleepy haze and give him a gap toothed smile which successfully melts Yoongi again.

"Appa", Haein greets, his voice thick with sleep but smile as bright as that of the sun.

It makes his husband turn as well and the smile that lights up on his face is the same as their son's.

"You're home", Jimin greets, making his way towards Yoongi while Haein struggles in his hold impatiently.

As soon as they're near enough, Haein practically jumps to Yoongi's lap, causing both his parents to chuckle.

"Yah, Haeinnie, why aren't you asleep yet, hmm?" Yoongi asks, blowing raspberries on his son's belly, making the kid giggle breathlessly.

He looks up to find Jimin smile at them softly.

"How was the exhibition?" he asked instead, smoothening their son's mussed hair.

"Nice. Tae missed you a lot though", Yoongi replied, placing a small kiss on their son's forehead, who was getting sleepier by the moment now the excitement of meeting his father had worn off. "What did the doctor say?"

"It's nothing serious, just common cold. He gave Innie some meds and told to get loads of rest, which this little monster is refusing to do."

"Is that true, Innie? Have you been giving papa trouble?"

Haein pouts.

"But I'm not tired", he protests and then contradicts his declaration by yawning, making both his parents laugh softly.

"Tell you what, Haeinnie, why don't you get some sleep, hm? And then, tomorrow when you wake up, all your sickness would vanish because Haein is a strong boy and he defeated all those evil germs by just sleeping, hm? How does that sound?"

Haein furrows his brows and appears to be deep in thought which is truly endearing to Yoongi.

"Will we visit Uncle Tae and Kookie if Haeinnie gets better?"

"Of course we will", Jimin replies, ruffling Haein's hair, which made the kid giggle.

"Okay then I sleep", Haein declared and Yoongi handed him over to his husband while he headed to shower and change. When he came out of the washroom, showered and changed, Jimin was still in Haein's room, putting the boy to sleep.

Yoongi watched the father-son duo from the doorway thinking back to the time when he'd first met Jimin back in his junior year, and how he'd never imagined he would fall for this kind, energetic, beautiful person, let alone get married and get to cherish him for his entire lifetime.

"What are you thinking about?" Jimin's voice brought him out of his thoughts and he found him, smiling at him softly.

"You", Yoongi answers honestly, entwining their fingers and squeezing it, "Us. How lucky I am to have you in my life."

Jimin smiles and he leans forward to join their lips into a sweet kiss. When they break away, the smile on Jimin's face is still there.

"Imagine if our students ever got to know that we're actually married and with a kid", he says all of a sudden, mischief evident in his voice and Yoongi couldn't help but laugh.

Their friend circle has a bet going on about who would be the first one to discover that the two professors who apparently hate each other are actually secretly married and what their reactions would be when they learn the truth eventually. They all find it a bit funny and frankly, even Yoongi and Jimin are highly invested in seeing how long they can keep their relationship a secret. It's exciting.

"Wine?" Yoongi asks after a while and Jimin nods, smiling.

So he brings out the bottle and the glasses, while Jimin shuffles through Netflix to find an appropriate movie to cuddle with his husband.

As they settle down on the couch, wine in hand and a silly, romantic movie playing in low volume on the TV and they whisper about their days, Yoongi feels a sudden warmth and contentment spread through his chest. All those years ago, when they'd started dating, they didn't realise that they would end up here, in their little heaven that they found within each other and with their son Haein, who was a blessing to them. Four years ago, they decided to have children and after various considerations, they decided to opt for surrogacy. Since they'd always wanted two children, it was decided to use Jimin's sperm first (a decision made through the very adult process of rock-paper-scissors, which Jimin won, though Yoongi suspects he cheated). Then a year later, Haein was born and Yoongi fell in love once more.

“There you go again, lost in thoughts”, Jimin’s voice was full of mirth and fondness and Yoongi smiles.

“It’s just that I still can’t believe how lucky I got with you and our son”, he answers honestly and Jimin pecks him, once, twice, as many times until Yoongi starts laughing and pulls him into a sweet kiss.

At the end of it, Jimin whispers, “Happy 10 years, my love.”

And Yoongi’s face breaks into a wide, gummy smile.

“Happy anniversary, sweetheart.”
