Chapter Text

DECEMBER 1, 2024

PETER PAN DONUTS

Peter Parker walked into the Coffee Shop that shared his name, Peter Pan, and saw her: Michelle Jones, the girl who took his breath away. Peter took a breath when she turned around, and he saw her smile. But he quickly realized it wasn’t for him. It was for the person behind him. Ned Leeds.

Ned walked past Peter without saying anything. That hurt worse than Michelle. Ned had been closer to Peter than Michelle had for a while, even though they had been his friends for years.

Michelle walked up to the counter, “Can I help you?”

Peter took another breath, “My name is Peter Parker, and…” He chickened out. “I would like a coffee, please.”

“Sure thing, Peter Parker,” Michelle said with an amused smile. This boy was weird, but a strange odd she didn’t mind for some reason. She grabbed a donut from the shelve and took it to Ned.

Peter overheard their conversation with his enhanced hearing. They had gotten into MiT.  Peter smiled at that, then frowned. Was it cause he had spoken to the admission lady, or was it cause they no longer knew him?

He was broken out of his thoughts when a voice said, “Peter Paker, your coffee?”

Without thinking, he responded, “So, are you excited about MiT?”

Michelle paused, wondering how he had heard what she thought was a whispered conversation between her and Ned. “I guess I’m usually not, but things feel different this time.” She had no idea why she was chatting so casually with this random consumer. “Usually I expect disappointment so,”

“So you can never be disappointed?” Peter replied.

She wondered how he knew her catchphrase, “Um yeah, but like I said, this time it feels different.”

It’s cause I’m not in your life to ruin it. Peter thought. That’s when he noticed the wound on her head that he had caused with his choices of putting her in danger. “Are you OK?”

Michelle smiled weakly, “Yeah, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”

And without me around, it never will again. Peter put the note back in his pocket and said, “I’ll see you around.” He never planned to see her or Ned again. They would be safe now.

Michelle watched as he left and felt a pain in her heart, and tears started to come down her cheeks. “Why am I feeling this way?”

December 25, 2024: BROOKLYN BRIDGE

A month had passed since his trip to the coffee shop and his decision not to remind his friends who he was. Peter stood on the side of the Brooklyn Bridge looking down at the East River, coughing; he was cold, hungry, and lonely and couldn’t take it anymore. Since he had no ID, he couldn’t get a Job, and without one, he couldn’t make enough money to get a place to live. He thought about going to FEAST, the organization May used to work at, but he didn’t want to curse the business with his presence. Besides, it would stir up painful memories about his loss. Peter hadn’t eaten an authentic meal in days, just barely managing with scraps from Trashcans.

His other life as Spider-Man hadn’t been going well either. Over half of the people still called him a murderer and thought Beck was a hero. He had kept going cause of his responsibility, but now he was at his end.

He looked down at the freezing water when a voice said, “So, are you going to jump or just continue to take up space?”

Peter was shaken out of his reverie with a start, turning to see a young girl around his age with Blond pigtails. He stared at her, feeling as though he had seen her before. He realized where—it had been on the cover of one of the fashion magazines May had loved to look through.

“Aren’t you Junko Enoshima, the fashion model?” Peter sputtered. “What are you doing here?!”

“Ah, he is a smart little boy,” Junko said slyly, leaving the second question unanswered. “And you are Spider-Man, the washed-up hero.”

Peter gasped and coughed. “How do you know…”

Junko replied, “How do I know Who you are? easy for a girl of my intelligence.” She cracked an evil grin, “Spider-Man committing suicide will cause such despair in New York. Well, at least for those who still care about him. And there aren’t many who do, are there? So jump, no one cares, end it. The city won’t suffer with you gone.”

This felt like the last straw. Peter had given up. He said, “MJ and Ned are better off without me, and if I’m dead, I won’t be tempted to mess up their lives.” And with that, he jumped into the icy waters below, never to resurface.

Chapter Text

July 1, 2028 (New York City)

Michelle Jones and Ned Leeds took cover behind some trashcans as one of the Remnants of Despair fired upon them.

Ned groaned, “Let’s join the future foundation you said.  We can fight against the despair, you said.”  He turned and fired back at the attacker.  “It’s just made us a giant target.”

Michelle responded, “I was tired of waiting to be a victim.  I choose to fight even though it might be dangerous.  For some reason, in the past four years, I feel like my choice was taken away somehow, and I ain't going to be denied any choices again..”

“Ah, two of Hope’s greatest heroes,” a female voice spoke up.

“Princess, Nevermind,” Michelle said.  “One of despair’s greatest bitches.”

Sonia pointed her gun right at their heads.  “My kingdom will tell the legend of your fall for generations.”

Just then, another voice yelled, “Put on your headphones.”

Michelle and Ned quickly placed their headphones on while a high-pitched sound surrounded the area; Sonia Nevermind covered her ears in pain before collapsing to the ground unconscious.

“You two were reckless again,” A male voice said while turning off his megaphone weapon.

“We got the target here, didn’t we, Togami?”  Michelle said.

Byakuya Togami responded, “In the most reckless way possible.”

Another voice said, “Give them some slack, Byakua.”

“Your heart will be your weakness someday, Makoto,”  Byakuya told him.

“Ned, Michelle, are you two OK?”  Makoto Naegi asked.

Michelle replied, “I told you to call me MJ.”

Makoto smiled, “Sorry, MJ.”

Byakuya asked, “How come he can call you MJ?”

MJ responded, “Cause only my friends can call me MJ.”

“Whatever!”  He grumbled.  “Get that girl into the holding container while she is still knocked out.”  He told the lackeys, who placed Sonia in a tube.

“That makes fourteen.  We have captured almost all of the remnants.”  Makoto said.

Ned asked, “What will become of them?”

Makoto frowned, “The leaders of the Future Foundation want them all to be publicly executed, but I think they can be redeemed; however, I don't think we can do that currently.”

MJ asked, “Currently?”

Makoto replied, “A classmate of ours, Chihiro Fususaki, created a device with Kurisu Makise  called the Neo World program.”

“What could we do with that?” Ned asked.

Byuakya responded, “Makoto here thinks we could have used the machine to roll back the memories of before Junko Enoshima influenced the remnants to a time when they were still innocent persay and retrain their minds to not worship despair anymore.”

MJ asked, “So what's the issue?”

Makoto said, “With Chihiro dead, and no one knowing what happened to Kurisu, the full effects of the machine can not be implemented.  But there is a chance.”

“What chance?”  Ned asked.

Makoto said, “There is a rumor the machine could also be used as a time machine that could send text messages to the past.  If it’s true, that is why we brought you two on board.”

“Why us?” Michelle asked.

“Three years ago, both of you were at M.I.T. with Kurisu.  We hope if we can send you a text message to yourself back then to find her, we can have her finish the machine so we can use it now.”

Ned said, “I like adventures.  Let’s attempt it.”

JULY 2, 2028 (Jabberwock Island)

“This is the PhoneWave,” Makoto said, showing it to MJ.

“And it can send texts back in time?”  Michelle asked.

“That's the assumption, “Makoto said, “However, only a few people can sense the changes in the timeline.  One of them was an acquaintance of Kurisu’s, and we think the other might be you, MJ,”

“What do we have to lose,” MJ said.  “Let's get dangerous.”

They set her cell into the machine, and Makto said, “You got to send yourself a text that you would consider worth exploring.”

MJ thought for a moment and typed something in, “Ready.”

Then suddenly, they heard a loud bang, and a large crack appeared on the floor. The walls shook with the impact—it was an explosion. The building they were at had fallen under attack!

“Makoto Naegi, you are harboring the Remnants of Despair, surrender them to us now, and you might live.” An ominous voice filled the room.

“MJ, hurry!” Ned shouted frantically.

Makoto started the machine, and MJ hit send just as another explosion rocked the building.  As the phone wave started to spark, MJ was hit by a wave of dizziness as the building collapsed around them.

December 15, 2025: MIT Dorm

Michelle dreamed about that moment again. That boy entered the shop, took a deep breath, and said, “Hi, my name is Peter Parker and…” He seemed to look over at her, and Ned then sighed and said, “And I would like a Coffee.”

“OK, Peter Parker, one Coffee coming up,” MJ said before giving a free donut to Ned.

“Are you both excited about MIT?” Peter asked.

MJ said, “Yes, kind of,” pushing her hair behind her ear and exposing her bandaid.

Peter just looked at her bandaid, losing his nerve. “Thanks for the coffee,” he said, running out of the store.

Michelle watches him leave. Her heart started to ache, and a tear came down her cheek. “What was that? Why did he make me feel so…”

She walked over to Ned, who said, “Never seen you get all misty-eyed over a customer before.”

“I was not misty-eyed,” she replied with annoyance.

“You were totally giving him your comeback here face,” Ned said.

Michelle slapped the back of his head and went back to work.

Michelle woke up as her cell phone beeped that she had an incoming text message. She decided to check it later as she wrote in her dream journal when suddenly Ned Leeds entered their co-ed dorm room.

“Are you still dreaming of a past you can’t remember?” He asked her.

MJ nodded and replied, “Are you?”

Ned nodded in return.

“I keep seeing the two of us hanging out with that weird boy who came into the coffee shop I worked at last year,” MJ said.

“The one that introduced himself with his full name to order a coffee?”

MJ nods.

He replies, “I have dreams about him, too. We are building Lego sets and watching Star Wars, and there are ones with me feeling like a third wheel while you two are making out.”

She laughed and rolled her eyes, “You need to stop dreaming about me making out with random strangers.” But the thought of that puts a sad smile on her face. “It’s too bad we never got a chance to get to know him before…”

Ned nods, “Maybe he could have told us if we knew him or if we just randomly dreamed of a life with him.”

MJ turns to a newspaper clipping she kept from a year ago and had placed it on their dorm wall for reasons she didn’t understand. It had seemed significant to her, but she wasn’t sure why. The headline read, “John Doe Commits Suicide.” An unknown seventeen-year-old is found in East River after he jumped from the Brooklyn Bridge. When authorities fished him out of the river, the autopsy showed that he was very malnourished and had many injuries on his body.”

“I wish I had stopped him that day at the donut shop, “MJ said. “Maybe we could have been his friend and helped, but now it’s too late. And these weird memory dreams will be just that, dreams,”

“Maybe not,” Ned responded. “I found a flyer in the common room. They are looking for volunteers to help test a memory device they created.”

She looked up, “Do you think it can help us figure out which memories are real and which are not?”

“It’s worth a try,” he said.

She checked her phone, “Someone wants me to go find Kurisu Makise.”

Ned said, “That’s freaky; that’s the person in charge of the memory experiment.”

MJ said, “This can’t be a coincidence; let’s go.”

They both grabbed their jackets and headed for the Neurology department.

December 15, 2025: MIT NEUROLOGY LAB 

When Ned and MJ arrived in the Neurology lab, a young girl of what looked like sixteen greeted them. “Tu Tu Ru!” She excitedly shouted at them.

“Tu Tu Ru?” MJ asked, confused.

“It’s just her catchphrase whenever she says hello.” Someone else came from another corner of the lab; another girl came over.  “My name is Chihiro Fujisaki.”

“You’re so pretty!” Ned said.

“Um….. Thanks,” Chihiro stuttered, and Ned internally kicked himself for making things awkward.

Another taller female came over next: “I see you meet my partner; he’s kind of timid but brilliant.”

“Yeah, we’ve met and…” Ned stopped and turned to look at him. “You’re a dude?”

MJ smacked him, “Be nice,” She turned to Chihiro. “I apologize for my friend’s rudeness,” MJ cast a meaningful glance in Ned’s direction. “I’m sure transitioning is very hard. What pronouns would you like?”

“I am a guy,” he said sadly. “I just wish I was a little buffer.”

“My name is Kurisu Makise,” the taller girl said, and you met my lab partner already. Over there is our friend, and I guess lab assistant, Mayuri Shiina.”

“Juicy Chicken number 1?” Mayuri asks, putting a box of chicken in front of them.

“Maybe later,” MJ responds. “Ned and I would like to volunteer for the memory project.”

“May I ask why?” Kurisu asks.

MJ says, “We both have flashes of memories we don’t remember, and we were hoping to see if they were real or just in our imagination.”

Kurisu nods, “OK, I think our program can help. We call it Amadeus, and it can put your entire memory on these computers where you can access it via an app on your cell and then sort the memories out.”

Ned’s eyes lit up. “Kind of like files on a computer.”

“Yes, that’s a perfect analogy,” Chihiro said.

They brought them into another room, and Kurisu took their cells and plugged them into the devices. “We need a cell number to deliver the memories to once they are downloaded and copied.”

Chihiro attached the nodes to their heads to get a reading of their brains. “I’m not hurting you am I?” He asked.

“No, I’m fine,” MJ said. “Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Michelle Jones, but my friends call me MJ.”

“And I’m Ned Leeds,” Ned said, “But my friends call me Ned.”

“Well, Ned, Michelle, I hope we can help,” Kurisu said and started the machine.

“The Chicken is a little cold,” Mayuri told them. “I will warm it up for you all.” She said, starting the microwave.

“Mayuri, No!” Chihiro shouted, “Not when the Amadeus app is running.”

Michelle noticed sparks coming from the microwave, and then everything got blurry.

DECEMBER 1, 2024: PETER PAN CAFE

(Beta Version 01) Michelle blinked and put down the phone she had to her ear for some reason. Wasn’t she just at MIT in a lab? She looked at Ned at the counter on his cell, looking just as confused.

Just then, a boy entered the shop; he took a deep breath and said, “Hi, my name is Peter Parker, and…” He seemed to look over at her, and Ned then sighed and said, “And I would like a Coffee.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle stared at Peter as she tried to figure out what had just happened, with a look of confusion and panic.

“What just happened?” (Beta Version 01) Ned said a little louder than he meant to.

“I don’t know” (Beta Version 01) MJ said. “My head is all…”

“MJ, Ned, are you two all right?” Peter said with concern.

(Beta Version 01) MJ held her head briefly and said, “Yeah, I think we will be fine; I…” She looked at Peter with questioning eyes. “How do you know our names?”

(Beta Version 01) Ned responded, “I think we have bigger things to think about; oh, I don’t know, maybe like how we just went back in time?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ replied, “Shut up, Ned.”

Peter asked, “You two are time travelers?”

(Beta Version 01) Ned said abruptly, “No cause; Time travel doesn’t exist. Obviously.” He laughed nervously.

“Ned, be quiet,” (Beta Version 01) MJ hissed, glaring at her friend.

“Well, the Avengers invented time travel.” (Beta Version 01) Ned continued to blather. “Going back in time with just our…”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle clamped a hand over Ned’s mouth. “Sorry, my friend Rambles on like that.”

Peter shook his head, “Oh, I know when we were in Gym sophomore year. He wouldn’t stop talking about…”

(Beta Version 01) MJ glared at Peter again, “There you go again, acting like you know us. What are you hiding, Peter?” She paused momentarily, thinking she had said those words before. Besides her mind being all confused about her trip through time, she was also confused about why her heart was beating fast in front of this stranger, but not in a scary way. But in an, I want to know him a better way.

Peter said, “Um, you  two look like you need some time to figure stuff out, so if you’re alright, I’m going to get out of here.” He started to walk to the door when (Beta Version 01) MJ grabbed his wrist.

“Wait!” She exclaimed.

“Yes?:  Peter asked. There was a hint of hope in his eyes, which confused (Beta Version 01) MJ even more.

“You haven’t gotten your coffee yet, and it’s cold outside; stay and chat for a while,” (Beta Version 01) MJ responded, her tone softening.

Peter replied, “I don’t know if I should.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ asked, “Please.”

Peter could never say no to Michelle, even now, so he nodded and sat down in a booth, even though this seemed like a pretty bad idea—he wasn’t supposed to see Ned and MJ ever again to keep them safe—or at least that’s what he had told himself.

(Beta Version 01) Ned asked, “What’s up? We need to figure out how we ended up here in the past. Why are we inviting a stranger to talk with us?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ replied, “That’s the same kid they will find dead by suicide a month from now, the one we cried about. I don’t know about you, but something inside me wants to prevent that.”

(Beta Version 01) Ned looks over at Peter. “Something inside of me does too.

Peter said, “I need to see about a Job and rent an apartment.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said with a bit of desperation, “You can get a job here with me.”

Peter rubbed the back of his neck. “I don’t have an ID right now. Will that be a problem?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ shook her head, “No, the manager is desperate for help right now.”

Peter looked down and said, “I think me being here with you both might be bad.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “Why don’t you let us decide what’s bad for us?”

Peter hesitated, then sighed and said, “Fair enough.”

(Beta Version 01) Ned said, “MJ and I will take a road trip to visit our future college. Care to join us?”

Peter said, “You’re going to visit MiT?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ’s eyes narrowed again, “How did you know we were going to MiT?”

Peter stuttered, “I figured you look like you’d want to attend the best school of all time.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ was beginning to get frustrated—her mind seemed to be clouded over in some places so that she could recognize Peter and even recall a few memories together, but he was mostly still a mystery to her. She had more feelings than memories of him: feelings of safety, happiness, and comfort, but also some fear that Peter was in danger. MJ knew that she, Peter, and Ned were tied together somehow; she wasn’t sure how or why, so she replied, “Uh-huh. Well, we want to talk to someone on campus who might be able to help us with something that just happened to us. Or at least explain it, maybe.”

Outside the shop, Junko Enoshima glared at the trio inside, “Damn, Peter isn’t falling into despair; I need to up my game. I can’t have Spider-Man around to interfere with my plans for great despair for the World.”

Chapter Text

December 15, 2025: MiT NEUROLOGY LAB

MJ blinked through what seemed like her mind being pulled in multiple directions. “That was weird.”

Ned replied, “Yeah, I thought I was back in the donut shop in Queens for a second.”

Chihiro responded, “It was you probably just reliving a memory as they were being copied. “

“That makes sense,” Ned nodded.

A young girl walked into the room, “Ah, I see we have new guinea pigs.”

“Are you their little sister?” Ned asked.

She quickly got angry and shouted, “No, I’m 21. I’m older than all of you. Why does everyone think I’m in Middle school?”

“Maho Sempi, calm down, please,” Kurisu mentioned.

Maho took a deep breath and said, “I came here to wish Chihiro luck at his new school.”

“New School?” M.J. asked. “You’re leaving MIT?”

Kurisu nodded, “Yup, my lab partner has just been scouted to be in the 78th class of Hope’s Peak Academy.”

Chihiro pulled M.J. and Ned’s phones out of the connection device. “OK, your memories have been copied and downloaded to our server. You both should be able to connect to them via your cells.”

M.J. activated the app, and after a start-up screen, she saw herself staring back at her.

A.I. M.J. said, “Wow, I guess what she said was true. I am on the computer now.” It was cool, but M.J. felt a little freaked out by the A.I. version of herself.

Ned activated his app and said, “Maybe I can talk about Star Wars with myself.”

M.J. slapped the back of Ned’s head, “Be a nerd on your own time. We must solve the mystery of our missing memories and that kid who committed suicide last year.”

After Ned and M.J. left, Kurisu checked the Server where Ned and Michelle’s memories were stored cause she feared something had happened when Mayuri had turned on the microwave. “Damn it, I was right. A copy of the memory storage went through the

Kern Black Hole.” She dialed her cell to call her boyfriend. “Okabe, are you there?”

“Christina, what do I owe the pleasure of this call?” He responded.

“First of all, don’t call me Christina,” Kurisu said. “Next, I need to know whether your Reading Steiner ability is activated?”

“Yes. It was very slight, but I felt a worldline shift. What happened?” Okabe asked.

Kurisu said, “When I was downloading some students’ memories for the Amadeus program, Mayuri turned on the microwave.”

“Causing a time leap.” Okabe finished.

“If there is another version of these kids in the past with the memories they have now,” Kurisu said. “Then there is no telling what they could change.”

Okabe said, “I will keep track if I notice any more shifts and will tell you.”

As M.J. and Ned returned to their dorm room, she remembered New Year’s almost a year ago.

DECEMBER 31, 2024: NED’S LOLA’S HOUSE

MJ was at Ned’s house to celebrate the countdown with his family. “Thanks for inviting me over,” she told him.

“It’s no big deal,” Ned replied. “My family loves you; they think you’re a good influence.”

“Only eight more months til we move to our MIT Dorm. Are you ready?”

“I am more than ready,” Ned responded.

M.J. pulled out their MIT living area and said, “I just don’t know why we picked a three-bedroom apartment rather than a two-bedroom one.”

“Our bedrooms aren’t even near each other, and there is one in the middle with a weird window placement,” Ned said.

The news interrupted the New Year’s Special with an important announcement. “A body has been found in the East River. The autopsy shows he was covered with wounds and looked malnourished. Here is what experts think he looked like after a reconstruction.”

An image of a teenage boy appeared on the screen.

“That kid that came into the coffee house last month,” M.J. gasped.

“The full name ordering one?” Ned asked.

“Yeah,” M.J. replied.

The news continued, “He looks to be in his late teens, and police think he committed suicide. In other news, Spider-Man has been absent for the last week or two. Has he finally called it quits? More tomorrow.”

M.J.’s eyes started to water, and she wiped her tears away, confused, “Why am I crying over a stranger who came in for coffee once?”

“I don’t know,” Ned responded, “But I think whatever you have, I’m catching it cause it’s like something died inside of me too.”

“I wish I had asked him to stay and talk that night if I would have known he was that sad,” M.J. said.

They didn’t even notice the Clock had stuck at midnight; they were too busy grieving the kid they didn’t know.

DECEMBER 15, 2025: MIT DORMS

MJ and Ned returned to their room and took out their cells. They heard some noises coming out of the middle room. “Looks like our roommate is back, and it looks like her boyfriend is here too,” M.J. said.

“That should be fine,” Ned said. “We need to check our memories to see if we can find any clues about that coffee guy from last year and why we both have been dreaming about someone we only met once.”

M.J. turned on the Amadeus app, and her A.I. appeared on the screen. “What’s up?” A.I. MJ asked.

M.J. asked, “Can you recall any memory?”

A.I. MJ replied, “For the most part, yes.”

M.J. said, “Can you show me memories from the Summer of 2024 when we were in Prague?”

AI Michelle responded, “One moment, please.” She searched through her past Data and made a strange face.”

Ned asked, “What’s wrong?”

AI Michelle said, “It’s strange; I seem to have conflicting memories of the Trip to Prague.”

M.J. asked, “What do you mean?”

AI Michelle said, “In both, you’re on a bridge, but in each one, you’re with a different guy, but it looks like they both take place simultaneously.”

“Two competing memories?” M.J. asked. “How can that be?”

A.I. Michelle replied, “I can show you the memories through your eyes if you’d like?”

Ned and M.J. both had their eyes on the screen when M.J. said, “Play them.”

They saw Brad Davis on the bridge in Prague, and she was talking to the camera. “So I was wondering if you wanted to get together?”

“No,” M.J. said on the video.

“But why?” Brad asked. “We could be awesome together.”

M.J. said, “Because I don’t like you like that.”

“But…” Brad started to whine.

“I’ll see you on the plane,” M.J. said, then walked away.

Ned said, “Wow, I forgot how obsessed Brad was with you.”

“Unforently, I do remember that,” M.J. said. “Part of me felt sorry for him, but I needed to nip that in the bud.”

Ned asked, “So what is the other memory of that time?”

The screen showed the bridge again, but this time, it was the guy from the Coffee shop, a bit younger and more joyful.

“He looks so happy here,” M.J. said. “Not like when we saw him at the coffee shop, but why was he in Prague?”

The M.J. on the screen said, “So, did you know they executed people on this bridge?”

“Um?” Peter said.

“Um, yeah,” M.J. said.

Ned said, “Wow, I never knew you to be at a loss for words.”

M.J. said, “It’s like I’m tongued tied around him.”

Peter said, “I’ve wanted to tell you this for a while, so I’m just going to say it. I’m..”

M.J. said, “Spider-Man.  That is what you were going to say, that you are Spider-Man.”

Peter said, “I’m not Spider-Man.”

M.J. said, “I saw you tonight.”

Peter said, “You couldn’t have seen me tonight.”

M.J. said, “Some girls think you’re a male escort.”

Peter said, “I’m not a male escort.”

M.J. said, “Then you are Spider-Man.”

Peter asked, “Were you only watching me cause you thought I was Spider-Man?”

M.J. said, “Why else would I be watching you,” But she was looking away.

Ned said, “Coffee Guy was Spider-Man?”

M.J. said, “That would explain why Spider-Man disappeared after he died.”

A voice came out of the middle room, “Spider-Man was always a conflicting feeling for me.” A blond girl their age with grey eyes went out of the room with her boyfriend, a boy with dark hair and sea-green eyes. As he entered the room, Ned and M.J. seemed to be able to smell salt air and maybe even feel an ocean breeze. M.J. and Ned assumed it was just their imaginations. “I loved how he helped the little guy in New York, but Spiders have always freaked me out.” the girl went on.

Her boyfriend said, “Being from New York, he was always a hometown hero.”

Ned said, “You were from New York too, and here at MiT?”

He joked, “Oh no, I’m nowhere near smart enough to be here. I’m at a local community college supporting my girl.”

M.J. said, “That reminds me, Annie, are you going to introduce us to your great love.”

Annie said, “First, I told you don’t call me Annie; it’s Annabeth, and secondly, there’s no need to be so dramatic. MJ, Ned, meet my boyfriend, Percy Jackson.”

Ned shook Percy’s hand, “It’s nice to meet you, Percy. I’m Ned.”

Percy replied, “It’s nice to meet you too, Ned.”

“I’m Michelle, MJ replied, “But my friends call me M.J.”

Percy asked, “So what can I call you?”

M.J. said, “Well, if Annabeth likes you, you can’t be too bad.”

Annabeth smiled and said, “Percy is an acquired taste, but once you get to know him, he isn’t too bad.”

Percy said, “Last year when I wanted to have a memorial for Spider-Man’s disappearance, she helped but was very hands-off.”

Ned asked, “So why don’t you like him? You're not one of those Daily Bugle supporters or Mysterio Believers, right?”

Annabeth shook her head, “I don’t watch that rag, and I can spot a doctored video a mile away. It’s not the hero I have a problem with; it’s spiders in general. My mom’s family have had a rickety relationship with Spiders for years, and I guess it’s genetic.”

Ned looked slightly confused but said, “It’s too bad you don’t go here; I could use another guy friend. Not that M.J. and Annabeth aren’t fun to hang around with, it’s just…”

Percy nodded, “I know what you mean. When Annabeth is hanging out with my mom, I think she likes her more than me sometimes.”

Annabeth laughed, “Well, your mom just has good taste.”

“Ha Ha,” Percy smirked. “If Annabeth had her way, I would transfer here next year. She can’t get enough of me.”

Annabeth laughed and rolled her eyes, saying, “Well, you could if you’d study more and get the Credit Transfers set up.” She pulled out her phone, “That reminds me, I’m going to text you and remind you to do that with the notes you need.” She looked at her cell, “Crap, it’s almost dead. M.J., can I borrow your cell to text the info to Seaweed Brain here?”

M.J. said, “Sure.” and decided not to question Annabeth’s strange nickname for Percy. She swiped up the Amadeus App but didn’t close it. And she handed Annabeth the phone.

December 15, 2025: MIT Neurology Lab

Kurisu and Okabe looked over her machine very carefully. “And you think a Time Leap happened while you were downloading the memories?” Okabe asked.

Kurisu said, “I can’t be sure, but Mayuri did turn on the microwave, and the sparks appeared.”

“Well, both you and Mayuri are still alive, so if Divergence happened, we didn’t go into one of those world lines, but we can never be too careful. We should test the machine to ensure there isn’t a glitch. What were the settings Mayuri had on the microwave?”

Kurisu pushed the microwave buttons until it matched Mayuri’s cooking time. “That’s weird. They would have gone back a year if they had made a time leap. That’s further than you ever did.” She started the microwave. “I maybe I was just worried over noth…” Suddenly, sparks flew from the microwave.

December 15, 2025: MIT Dorm Room

Annabeth said, “OK, this should be enough info for Seaweed Brain to pass his MiT entrance exams.”

“Are you sure, wise girl?” Percy said, “You were only typing for fifteen minutes.”

Annabeth said, “You got to do some work yourself.” She smiled and hit the send button.

Just then, M.J. felt a horrible headache coming on and a wave of dizziness; she felt like she couldn’t stand up. She grasped the nearby couch for support while the world before her became blurry and out of focus.

JULY 2, 2028 (Jaberok Island)

Michelle opened her eyes; she coughed up some blood as she looked around. She couldn’t move her legs as they were pinned under the rubble of the ceiling.  

“Ned,” she tried to yell, but it sounded like a hoarse whisper.

She painfully turned her head, the rubble grating painfully against her, and she saw her best friend lying motionless—dead. The beams from up above squished his entire body. She tried to scream, to yell his name, but falling rubble knocked the breath out of her, and it came out in a soft whimper instead as tears streamed down her face.

Then, she saw the soldiers of the Future Foundation storm the area. The very people she had been working for had killed her friend cause they had tried to cure a bad guy rather than just slaughter them. That thought caused her to pause, triggering a dim memory, like she had been trying to fix villains before, but when?

The assistant leader of the Future Foundation, Kyosuke Munakata, entered the room, ignoring and trampling Ned’s corpse like he was no one. Rage filled MJ. If ghosts were real, she would haunt this son of a bitch, she told herself. Or Ned would, at least, MJ thought as tears again blurred her vision. He walked over to Sonia, who had somehow survived, and snapped her neck.

Kyosuke walked over to Makato, who was whispering, “This wasn’t the way to save the world.”

Kyosuke said, “That was all you had to do, but I guess you also fell into despair.” Then, he stabbed his sword between his eyes. Finally, he walked over to Michelle, who used her last ounce of strength to spit in his face before she took her last breath, and his sword ended her life.

THE AFTERLIFE

MJ opened her eyes and was on what looked like the roof of her old high school. This was a weird place to start Her afterlife. She looked around for Ned and saw him hugging some boy around their age. “Ned,” she shouted.

Both boys turned to face her, and she recognized the boy Ned was hugging. It was the person who came into the coffee shop that day and later committed suicide. Had Ned known him, or was Ned just that good at making friends?

Then Ned asked, “MJ, do you remember now too?”

“Remember?” Michelle asked. Then, she was overwhelmed by emotions. She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at the boy again. “Peter?” she gasped. Her afterlife body acted instinctually and wrapped her arms around her former love. “If we weren’t dead, I’d kill you for breaking your promise,” she sobbed.

Peter returned the hug and said, “I thought I was saving you from a life of me pulling you down, and you would have a happier life without me. A safer life.”

MJ said, “You always were an idiot regarding things like this. That’s why I told you we needed to workshop stuff like this together.

The Earth may be going to hell back in the world of the living, but for the first time in a while, MJ didn’t care. She was with her heart again.

December 25, 2024: BROOKLYN BRIDGE

Percy Jackson was crossing the Brooklyn Bridge when he got a text; he looked at the number but didn’t recognize it. But when he saw the subject said, “Notes from Annabeth,” he clicked on it.

It said, “Hey, Seaweed Brain, my friend is letting me use her cell to text the notes and info for you to get into MiT next year.”

Percy tilted his head, “That’s weird; I know she wants me to join her at that college sooner or later, but I didn’t think I had the grades to get in. Maybe she changed her mind.” As he walked, he read the lengthy text. “Wise girl sure went into lots of details here. But I’m not surprised.”

As he was getting close to the end of the bridge, he heard voices above him, which he thought was strange because how would anyone get into the bridge rafters? He assumed it must be a construction worker fixing something on the bridge, but curious, he looked up.

He saw a brown-haired boy and a blond girl with pigtails argue for a bit, then gasped as the boy jumped from the bridge.

“What the…” Percy gasped, and without thinking, he caused water to spout up, catching the suicidal Peter.

Junko looked down at the scene and grumbled. “God, some do-gooder just saved him. This might cause a problem with my plan for throwing the whole world into despair.” She got a threatening and somehow orgasmic look on her face, muttering under her breath, “My plan is being ruined; oh, that causes me so much despair. I must share this feeling.” Junko slipped into the shadows.

Peter looked around, now soaked from the icy water. “Why am I not dead?” He sputtered to Percy, “How did you do that with the water?”

Percy was taken aback; he hadn’t expected this boy to notice his water manipulations. Mortals usually didn’t unless they were like Rachel Elizabeth Dare was, but he didn’t think there would be two mortals like that. The only other explanations were if they were a monster, but Monsters usually didn’t try to kill themselves, or if he was a half-blood like him.

DECEMBER 15, 2025: MJ’S MIT DORM ROOM

(Beta Version 01) MJ blinked, and everything seemed normal again; her phone was back in her hand. “Did you send everything you wanted in the text, Annabeth?” (Beta Version 01) MJ asked.

“Text?” Annabeth replied. “What text?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ was confused for a minute. “I thought you borrowed my cell to text Percy here info to transfer into MiT next year.”

Ned walked up to her, “Are you OK? Why would Percy need to transfer here?”

Percy entered the room and replied, “Yeah, I already arrived. Annabeth sent me all the info I needed last year to get in.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ blinked her eyes, “Last year? But I thought she had just sent…”

Just then, MJ noticed a commotion outside in the halls.

(Beta Version 01) MJ opened the door, “What’s all the noise about?”

One of the students told her excitedly, “Someone just confirmed that they saw Spider-Man swinging through the campus. He’s here in Boston.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “What the…”

(Beta Version 01) MJ was confused, “After disappearing for a year, Spider-Man just appears in Boston?”

Now Ned was confused, “What are you talking about?   He disappeared in December and January for a while, but he’s been doing his thing intermittently for the past year.”

“I’m glad Spider-Man is here in Boston,” Annabeth said.

(Beta Version 01) MJ just looked at her, more confused. “I thought you were scared of Spider-Man?”

Annabeth replied, “I’m still not happy about his name, but he’s nice when you get to know him.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “You are acting like you know him personally.”

Percy and Annabeth looked at each other with glances that made (Beta Version 01) MJ think they were hiding something.

Annabeth said abruptly, “Well, we need to get going; talk to you later.” Then they ran out the door before MJ could question them more.

December 15, 2025: Percy’s MiT DORM ROOM

Peter landed on his dorm’s window sill and took off his mask when he heard a knock on his bedroom door. “One sec!” He shouted.

“It’s just me and Percy,” Annabeth responded.

Peter opened the door, “Is everything OK?”

Annabeth said, “Yeah, I think so, but my roommate was acting strange. She thought you had been out of commission for a year and thought I hated you.”

“Well, to be fair, you were twitchy around me when we first met ‘cause of the whole Spider thing,” Peter said.

“Well, it is weird considering our bloodline,” Annabeth said. “But MJ was confused, almost like she had a different conversation with me. Like she didn’t remember anything that had happened recently.”

Peter was shocked for a minute, “Did you say MJ?”

Annabeth nodded, “Yeah, it stands for Michelle Jones; she and my other roommate, Ned Leeds, were working on a project about missing memories.”

“Ned and MJ are both in this building?” Peter asked, feeling jittery, “And are your roommates?”

Annabeth said, “Yes, and by how you’re acting, it seems you know them both. So I think as your sister and fellow child of Athena, you should tell us what is going on.”

JULY 2, 2028 (Jaberok Island)

(Alpha Version 1) MJ yelled, “Ned and Makoto! Look out for the ceiling, and it’s collapsing!”

Ned, confused, asked, “What are you talking about?”

(Alpha Version 1) “Wasn’t the future foundation attacking us, trying to stop us from saving the Remnants?” MJ replied, thinking everyone was acting far too relaxed.

Kyoko Kirigiri said, “If they knew our location, they would definitely attempt to, but luckily they are distracted,”

Annabeth Chase said, “We should hurry; however, they won’t be for long.”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ gasped, “Annabeth?”

Annabeth asked, “What’s up?”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ said, “How are you here? You died two years ago.”

Percy replied, “I think I would know if my girlfriend died,”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ exclaimed, “Percy? How are you????” She looked at her cell, “The text must have changed history. But how do I remember all of this?”

“I wish we could go back and change History so Junko never gained this much control,” Makto said. “But we have to deal with the world we live in and fix it.”

Byukua told his employees to put the fifteen remnants into tubes and hook their brains to the Neo World.

One of the employees said, “We can’t find the one called Hajime Hinata.”

Hajime walked through the door, “I am here; I wanted to check that the power could handle your project.” Then he laid down in the tube himself.

After his tube was closed, Makoto turned to Ned and Michelle. “Are you sure you two want to place yourself in the program as well to be inside spies? It could be dangerous, you know.”

“It is what we agreed. We will monitor their progress inside, and you five will monitor it outside.” Ned said firmly.

(Alpha Version 1) MJ asked, “We did?”

Ned replied, “It was your idea. MJ, are you OK? You’re acting a little strange.”

Before MJ could answer, Kyoko said, “Your memories won’t get reversed, but the remnants will be that of four years ago, but you will look four years younger to fit in better.”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ said, “So, we will look like our high school senior or college freshman selves?”

“Now the Neo World will create three avatars to help,” Kyoko said. “The first will be a Rabbit named Usami, created by the counselor who helped make the program. The 2nd will be created by the brain patterns of the 15 remnants and combined into a person they can all get along with. The third will be created from your memories.”

Ned excitedly said, “Awesome, we’ll combine our mind powers to create a life.”

“I won’t tell Betty,” (Alpha Version 1) MJ smirked.

“No one asked, MJ,” Ned rolled his eyes.

The two of them got into the tubes, had the wires hooked up, and then closed their eyes.

DAY 1 (NEO WORLD)

(Alpha Version 1) MJ and Ned opened their eyes in a classroom.

(Alpha Version 1) MJ said, “So this must be the freshman homeroom of Hope’s Peak Class 77.”

Ned whispered, “Do you remember our cover story?”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ said, “I’m the Ultimate Protestor, and you are the Ultimate Computer Hacker.”

They noticed a young woman wearing a brown Hope’s Peak uniform, “That must be the remnants’ creation?” Ned said.

The girl said, “Hi, I’m Chiaki Nanami.”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ pointed to a guy their age with brown hair. “I guess that’s our creation.”

Ned said, “He looks cool.”

(Alpha Version 1) MJ said, “He looks familiar.” She squints her eyes. “Where do I know him from?”

He approached them, “Hi, my name is Peter Parker.”

DECEMBER 2, 2024: MIT CAMPUS

Peter seemed skittish as (Beta Version 01) MJ and (Beta Version 01) Ned walked with him through the parking lot.

(Beta Version 01) Ned said, “Peter, why are you so jumpy? It’s not like there’s danger around or something.”

Peter replied, “Being around me is unsafe; I’m bad luck.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ looked into his eyes, “I don’t believe in luck, and I make my own choices of who to be around.”

DECEMBER 2, 2024: MIT NEUROLOGY LAB

Kurisu asked, “So you think someone has used Time Travel?”

Okabe replied, “It’s slight, but something has changed from what it was before. Now, if that’s good or bad for us, I don’t know yet.”

“Well, it’s not like the people who changed history are going to walk into this lab,” Kurisu said.

Just then, they heard a knock on the door.

Kurisu glared at Okabe, “That means nothing.”

Okabe opened the door and found three teenagers on the other side.

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “Um, Hi, we need to talk to Kurisu about an issue we are having.”

Okabe, “Anything you can say to my assistant, you can say to me.”

Kurisu said, “I’m not your assistant. But yes, you can talk openly here.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “I think you sent mine and Ned’s brains to 1 year in the past.”

Peter gasped, “You time traveled?”

Okabe responded, “You time leaped a whole year in the past? Future you has been busy tinkering Kurisu.”

Kurisu asked, “Why did I help you travel into the past?”

(Beta Version 01) Ned said, “You didn’t. You were downloading our memories to the Amadeus program so we could see if we could access some missing memories, then you were yelling at some girl named Mayuri about using the microwave, and then we were back in the past.”

Okabe asked, “And have you changed anything that had happened before?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ glanced over at Peter, “Kind of, yeah. She whispered to Okabe and Kurisu. “In about a month from now, he commits suicide; Ned and I… I guess we’re trying to be nice, to prevent it.”

Peter’s enhanced hearing caught that he would kill himself in a month, “Why would they want to save me,” Peter whispered to himself. He thought about how dangerous he could be to them–why would they care enough to save him?

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “I don’t want to change reality if I can help it since I know there could be big consequences, but if I can save a life, I can’t just not try.”

Okabe replied, “Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. If Peter’s death is a convergent point, then it is inescapable. I learned this the hard way while trying to save my friend Mayuri. No matter how many times I went back in time, she kept on dying. Each time is slightly different. It wasn’t until I escaped the attractor field that her life was saved.” Okabe lowered his voice. “MJ, you can’t get your hopes up. We don’t know if we’ll be able to save Peter.”

“This life could affect so many others; who knows what could happen without him?” MJ protested louder than she had intended. She hesitated, then said quietly, “I won’t. I won’t get my hopes up.”

“So we won’t know if they are in a new worldline until I’m dead or not in a few weeks?” Peter interjected, snapping MJ out of her reverie.

(Beta Version 01) MJ asked, “You heard us?”

Peter replied, “I have excellent hearing.” He shook his head, “Don’t worry about me. If I die or not, you shouldn’t let it affect your future.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ grabbed his shoulders, “Don’t say that. Since we found out about your suicide a month from now, I couldn’t stop thinking about it in the back of my mind. Sure, we went to MIT and had a great first Semester, but your death… hurt me.”

Peter said, “More of a reason you should just forget about me; I won’t hold you two back from being happy.”

(Beta Version 01) Ned asked, “Why are you so sure we won’t be happy with you around?”

Peter said, “Cause I’m a curse to those who care about me."

(Beta Version 01) MJ asked, “Steins gate?” 

Okabe said, “In one wo”ld line, no matter what, “My childhood friend Mayu” I died, which was inescapable. “ut in another” one, Kurisu he, “e, the woman I love. Her death was final. But there was a world line where both lived.”

(Beta Version 01) Ned said, “So you are saying there is one where Peter lives, and he isn’t a curse on us?”

(Beta V” version 01) MJ replied, “I don’t “think he is. I don’t believe that at all.”

DECEMBER 25, 2024: BROOKLYN BRIDGE

Peter almost ran out of the donut shop.  “I can’t believe I wanted to ruin their lives again so that I could be happy.  Without me, they got into MiT; I was holding them back all this time.” He glanced back at the window and saw MJ looking at him like she was trying to figure him out.  He had to get out of there; she was too smart for her own good.

Peter first tried to get an apartment.  He found one that didn’t need an ID, which was good since he was a ghost and didn’t have one, but they required a down payment on rent–which he didn’t have–so a job was needed.

He thought about going to FEAST as someplace to stay til he got settled with his apartment and job, but he feared his Peter curse would taint May’s hard work.  He had killed her and didn’t want to spoil her charity work, too.  And besides, it was too painful to return to a place he’d known so well, a place where he had made so many memories with May.  So he would live on the streets for a bit; he told himself he would have a job in no time.

Unfortunately, most jobs required IDS, too, so he just ate by scavenging trash cans.  He never realized how much food New Yorkers actually throw away.  He escaped his cold and loneliness by patrolling as Spider-man, but even that was going terribly.  People still consider him a murderer now, thanks to Beck’s doctored video, but unlike before, when people knew his identity as a teenager, no one knew, so they treated him like the Man he claimed to be and held nothing back.  Civilians tried to shoot him, thinking they would be rewarded.  Eventually, he reached his breaking point a few weeks later and swung to the Brooklyn Bridge.

Peter just threw his costume into the waters below and stood on the side of the bridge coughing; he was cold and hungry and couldn’t take it anymore.  Since he had no ID, he couldn’t get a Job, and without one, he couldn’t get a place to live.  He thought about going to FEAST, the organization May used to work at, but he didn’t want to curse the place with his presence.  He hadn’t eaten an authentic meal in days, just barely managing with scraps from Trashcans.

His other life as Spider-Man hadn’t been going well either.  Over half of the people still called him a murderer and thought Beck was a hero.  He had kept going cause of his responsibility, but now he’s at his end.  So, with very little convincing from a magazine model, he jumped.

Peter never reached the water below; the waters reached him first.  “Great, I’m going crazy now.” The waters brought him to a boy about his age on the river's shores.

“That was lucky I was here to fish you out of the river, huh,” He had said.

Peter said, “I think that water spout randomly saving me was more than pure luck, but I guess if you think saving the life of a nobody is Lucky, then I guess so.”

The boy said, “You saw that water spout?”

Peter said, “Um yeah, it was hard to miss.”

The boy said, “My name is Percy Jackson, and I know this is going to sound strange, but can you come to a camp with me?”

December 25, 2024: Camp Half-Blood 

Percy called Annabeth and asked her to meet him at camp.  She was waiting for him at the big hill.  “What is this about,” she asked, and why did you bring a stranger here?”

Percy said, “he saw through the mists, so since he isn’t an oracle, he is either a monster or a half-blood.”

Annabeth shouted, “So you brought him to camp to find out!”

Peter said, “Oh, so I should have stabbed him with my bronze sword to see if he exploded into dust then?  Or if he would just be wounded.”

Annabeth sighed, “I hate it when you make sense; it just feels wrong.”

Peter said, “I’m sorry I’m causing you two to fight.”

Annabeth said, “We fight all the time; you are nice, unlike a monster; if you were this close to camp and were one, you would probably be a lot more aggressive.  But if you were a half-blood, I thought you would have been claimed by now.  I guess Percy is right.  Could you please do me a favor and walk past the pine tree.”

Peter nodded and climbed up the hill; meanwhile, Percy said, “Oh, I got your text message.”

Annabeth said, “What text message?”

Percy said, “The text message about me joining you at MiT next year and how I can get in.”

Annabeth said, “I didn’t text you about MiT.  Let me see that.” She grabbed Percy’s cell and looked at the received message.  “This is from me, and if you do this, you might be able to go to MiT with me, but I don’t remember sending it.” She looked at the sent date, “According to this, it was sent a year from now.”

Peter yelled, “I walked past the Pine tree; now what?”

Annabeth said, “We will continue this later; we got to get Chiron.”

The three of them run to the Big House and see Chiron.  “Percy, Annabeth, who do we have here?”

Peter asks, “Is that a Centar?”

Chiron replies, “I am, and I’m sure you have many questions.  But…”

Peter notices Percy, Annabeth, and Chiron looking at something above his head.  He looks up and sees a glowing mark above him.”

Percy said, “Well, we know where he is sleeping now; I guess I don’t have to worry about him trying to steal my girlfriend with his looks.”

Peter said, “I would never try to take your girlfriend from you, but out of curiosity, why are you positive I can’t now?”

Annabeth said, “Cause that is the Mark of Athena, which means you and I are siblings.”

February 10, 2024: Camp Half-Blood 

Percy and Annabeth spent the Winter Months training Peter at the camp, and they were amazed at how fast he could do the activities.

Annabeth said, “For someone who has had no training, you are amazing at the obstacle courses, and you need like half the nectar the rest of us need to heal our wounds.”

Chiron asked, “Is there something you aren’t telling us?”

Peter looked down, thinking about his secret.

Percy said, “You can trust us; we are good at keeping secrets.”

Peter replied, “I don’t doubt it, but the last time my secret came out, I ruined my best friend's and girlfriend's life; I had to eventually erase myself from the world so they could have the future they deserved.”

Annabeth gasped, “So you have been alone since then.”

Percy replied, “So that's why you jumped off the bridge that day; you couldn’t handle being alone anymore.”

Peter said, “It wasn't just being alone; the world also hated me.”

Percy asked, “How can the world hate you if they forgot you?”

Peter replied, “The world forgot Peter Parker, but my other identity is still known.” He took a deep breath and told them.  “I am Spider-Man.”

Annabeth shook a little bit in fear.

Peter asked, “What’s up with her?”

Percy said, “Athena’s children have a deep-rooted fear of Spiders.”

Peter said, “That would explain why I kind of freaked out when one bit me in middle school.”

Chiron asked, “A spider bit you?”

Peter responded, “Yes, that is how I got my powers.  I was bitten by a radioactive Spider when I was about 12.”

Annabeth said, “That is usually when most half-bloods feel the call of their abilities.  Arachne must have sent the spider after you, which blocked you from being detected and claimed.”

“So I guess my biological father must have hooked up with Athena before he met the woman who raised me as her son.”

Annabeth, “That would be my guess.”

Peter said, “I wonder why they never told me.”

Athena appeared in a puff of smoke, “That’s because Richard and Mary Parker never knew you were my son.”

“Mom!”  Annabeth gasped.

“And because Richard Parker was never your biological father.” Athena continued.  “I gave you to them after you and your twin sister were kidnapped from your biological father when you were both practically toddlers.  It was unsafe for you two to be there with his enemies after him, so the enemy tried to kill you and your sister, but I saved you by faking your death and gave you to the Parkers 'cause they had the wisdom to raise you to be intelligent.”

Peter said, “Who is my bio dad then?”

Athena said, “I'm afraid I can’t tell you now, but I'm sure the truth will be revealed when the time is right.”

Annabeth said, “We need to find his sister; she needs to come here to train as well.”

Athena said, “But he has already found her.”

Annabeth said, “he has, but who is she?”

Athena turned to Annabeth, “You are my darling daughter.  Like the Parkers I gave Peter, I gave you to the Chases to raise after the incident.”

Peter and Annabeth just looked at each other in shock.

Peter said, “So we aren’t just half siblings…”

Annabeth said, “We are twins?”

DECEMBER 2, 2024: MIT NEUROLOGY LAB

Kurisu said, OK; first we should tell you all what this machine can do; it has three abilities. First is Amadeus's ability to use my thesis to convert human memory into digital data.  The app can create a fully functional AI with all the memories of the person we did the brain scan of.  It also makes a possible backup of that person’s memories.  So it can help with memory loss.” Kurisu explained. He, Okabe, Peter, MJ, and Ned were all in the MIT neurology lab.

“Ok, that’s not creepy at all,” Ned said.

“OK, now the Phone Wave uses Kerr Black Holes to send text or video messages to the past, and if the person that gets the message acts upon it, that action could result in the timeline changing, but only a few people know when a timeline has shifted.”Okabe said, ignoring Ned. He pointed at MJ and Ned; “Now that you two have traveled mentally through time, you both should be more tuned to notice a shift now.” Okabe continued.

Kurisu replied, “Which now brings us to the Time Leap Machine, which combines the previous two devices into one, so instead of a message being sent back, all of your current memories are instead.  Now here is where it could get dangerous, cause if your memories don't return to your body it could be dangerous.”

Peter said, “Cause your memories would override the memories of whoever you went into.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ continued, “Cause if you went into your own brain, then all you would have is an extra amount of memories that haven’t happened yet.  But if you went into someone else’s…”

Okabe concluded, “And finally, if its a Dmail, a message sent via the phone wave.  Or a Time Leap, the results will be a World Line shift.  Now a World line or Attractor field is a cluster or World lines that lead to a single conversion point.  While each individual one is its own thread and is slightly different than its neighbors, they are all moving in the same direction and make up a single yarn bundle or attractor field.  Convergence is events that are fated to take place regardless of Human interactions like time traveling.”

“So I could still be fated to die?”  Peter asked.

Kurisu said, “It's possible; we can't say for sure, but we can only hope that your death isn't a point of convergence where we are now.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ stood up; “then I just need to find an Attractor Field where it isn’t.”

 (Beta Version 01) MJ asked, “So if we were to do experiments like this only a few of us were to know if the Timeline has changed?”

    Okabe replied, “I have learned that everyone can sense it somewhat but others are more intune to the changes.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ said, “It’s too bad we can’t do more scientific research into this ability to study it but I’m sure there are people out there that would corrupt the research.”

    Kurisu told her, “If you ever want a side job, whatever you are studying here next year, I'd love to poke your brain.”

    (Beta Version 01) Ned smiled, “Look at you already making connections.”

    Peter replied, “I always knew you would go places MJ.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ turned to Peter, “There it is again, you talk like you know me and somehow I believe you do, but I don’t remember it in my brain.  Did you use time travel to make me forget you or something?”

    Peter shook his head,”I promise you I didn't do anything scientific like that.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ smirked, “So you used magic or something like that.”  Then she got a frown on her face.  “Magic?”

    (Beta Version 01) Ned looked at her, “What are you thinking?”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ replied, “That night a month ago I remember Dr. Stephen Strange being at the Statue of Liberty with us, what if he put us under a spell?”

    Kurisu asked, “A spell to forget this boy here?”  Pointing at Peter.

    (Beta Version 01) MJ nodded her head, “It’s all I have to go for in my hypothesis right now.  Is there any way I can send a Dmail to the past to test my hypothesis?”

    Okabe shook his head, “I don't like it, I lived through a timeline where World War 3 broke out over time travel and another where it was a Controlled utopia, I'd rather not go back to any of them.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ said, “I would only send a text back a month at the earliest, just a day or two before the big battle at the statute telling me to avoid Dr Strange.  Then we would see if any of us sense changes here.”

    Okabe said, “I supposed that won’t change too much in the timeline, hopefully.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ sent a text to herself a few days after Halloween.  “Avoid Dr Strange and if you see a boy named Peter Parker keep an eye on him.”

    Once the text was approved, the Phone Wave was activated and the timer on the microwave was set.  MJ took a deep breath and hit the send button, as the world around her began to warp.

DECEMBER 15, 2025: MJ & NED’S MIT DORM

(Beta Version 01) Michelle grabbed the folder of her mysteries and flipped through it.  “Ned, have you seen the newspaper article about Jon Doe, who committed suicide last Christmas over by the Brooklyn Bridge?”

Ned just looked at her, confused, “What suicide?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle just stared back, starting to be annoyed. “The suicide of that kid that came into the coffee shop last year, we were investigating it cause we thought he seemed familiar.”

Ned shook his head, “I didn't remember any suicide around Christmas last year,”  He thought for a second, “There was that strange water spout incident next to the bridge around Christmas time.  People were debating if they saw it or not.  I know I did.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle replied, “Yeah, I remember seeing it too; my memories are starting to jumble around in my head.  I thought it was on;y the pre statue of Liberty memories that I had to worry about, but now even the post ones are starting to confuse me.”  She pulled out her phone and checked the Amadeus app.

A.I. Michelle asked, “How may I help you?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle asked, “What do you have about Ned and me watching the news around Christmas and New Year?  Any conflicting memories that don't match up?”

A.I. Michelle said, “I have one about a waterspout that some people say they saw save a boy’s life and another one that says the same boy died by drowning by jumping into the water.”

“So in one reality, this boy dies, and Spider-Man stops all activity in the city.”  She looks at Ned, who just shrugs his shoulders.  “But in this new reality, the same boy is saved, and Spider-Man eventually continues his exploits eventually coming to Boston.  The question is what is the connection between him and Spider-Man.”

December 15, 2025: Peter & Percy’s MIT Dorm Room 

Peter said, “I used to know MJ and Ned before my attempted suicide, but I decided to cut them out of my life for their own safety.”

Annabeth nodded, “We know how that is, I've had to give up a few friendships cause of my half-blood complications.”

Percy said, “As have I, but for you to have been friends with MJ that can't of been a coincidence.  Especially since we came here to investigate.”

Peter replied, “You two are investigating MJ?  Why?”

Annabeth said, “The day Percy saved your life he got a text from me, but I was using someone else's phone.”

Peter said, “That's normal isn't it?”

Percy said, “But the sender was from today, about a year in the future from when I got it.”

“OK, that's less than normal,”  Peter said.

“I checked the number of the Sender, and it came from the cell of one Michelle Jones-Watson.  I found out she and her friend were going to MiT too, but for some reason, the two of them got a three-bedroom dorm.”  She looked at Peter and realized something.  “You knew them before you got erased, didn’t you?  My room was going to be your room.”

Peter just looked down at the ground all depressed.

Percy said, “I think you should remind us again, well mainly me since Wisegirl’s mind is a never-escaping vortex of the events of last year.”

Peter said, “I was just glad that Chiron helped me get some new records so I could join you and Percy at MiT this year.  The notes that you sent him was able too help me too even with no ID.”

Annabeth replied, “Luckily we were able to get the Laptop that Daedalus created out of Tartarus to help create your new records.  I couldn't dream of going to MiT without my twin brother.”

Percy popped up, “What about me?”

“Obviously its a bonus that my boyfriend can come too and that you two are rooming together means that I have my two favorite boys in one place.”  Annabeth smiled.

Peter smiled back, “Why do I think I am here mainly to keep your boyfriend in line when you are unavailable?”

Annabeth said, “Cause you're smart.”

Percy asked, “Can you please stop treating me as a Pet Project Wise Girl.”

Annabeth replied, “As soon as you stop getting into trouble all the time, Seaweed Brain.  But I am also glad you are here to watch over Peter when I can’t too.”  She turned to her brother, “I don’t want you to go back to that Dark place you were at when Percy found you last year.”

Peter said, “You said Percy was on that Bridge cause he got a text from you that was from the future.  But it wasn’t from your cell.”

Annabeth nodded, “It was from my roommate’s cell, MJ.  That is why I used my skills to make sure I was her roommate at MiT.  Percy and I were originally going to go to New Rome university but we decided to postpone that and go there later for later education.”

Peter replied, “But wait.  If you were using MJ’s cell in whatever timeline you sent the text from then you must of already known her.  So you must have decided to come here before too, unless they were at New Rome with you which is impossible since they aren’t half-bloods too.”

Percy said, “We need to get to the bottom of the text that was sent through time, we need to confront her about it.”

Annabeth looked at her brother, “We are going to need your help, are you ready to be in the same room with your ex Girlfriend and Best Friend?”

Peter said, “Technically not Exes since they don't know we ever had any connections.  But yeah can't run away forever besides it's not like going there is going to bring them back into my circle which is even more dangerous since Spider-Man has literal Mythic Monsters after him now.”

Percy shook his head, “The curse of a hero.”

Annabeth entered her room with her two guests in tow.  (Beta Version 01) Michelle and Ned seemed to be talking to someone on their cells about missing memories, she would have to ask them about that later.  “I hope you don't mind I brought my boyfriend’s roommate with me.”

Ned shook his head thats fine with me as long as he doesn’t mind that MJ here is in full conspiracy mode right now.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “It’s not a conspiracy if its true, and…”  Her words stuck in her throat when she saw Peter.  “It’s you, your alive!”  She ran over to peter and grabbed his arms, accidentally bumping into Percy and causing his pen to fall to the ground.  “I haven’t seen you since you came into my old donut shop a year ago. you seemed so sad and I could of sworn I remember a news broadcast of you committing suicide by jumping off of a bridge, but  I must have imagined it.”

Percy’s pen’s cap fell off when it hit the floor, causing the sword to appear.

Peter said, “You care that you thought I died, but I was a stranger.”

Before (Beta Version 01) MJ could respond Ned spoke up.  “Hey, where did that sword come from?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle turned around and said, “It that yours Percy I don't remember seeing it before.”

Annabeth asked, “You both can see that?”

Ned and (Beta Version 01) MJ nodded their heads.

Peter sighed and said, “This isn’t good.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ turned back and asked him “What are you hiding Peter?”

NOVEMBER 1, 2024: PETER PAN CAFE

“Take down those Halloween decorations, Jones.”  Her boss shouted at her from the back room.”

    “On IT,” MJ yelled rolling her eyes before tearing up her rejection letter from MiT.”  Turning to Peter, “I’m where I want to be, nothing would change my mind to stay by your side not even this.”

    Peter nodded his head staring at the witches that were stringed up around the store.  MJ was going to ask if he was OK when she got a text.  “Avoid Dr Strange and if you see a boy named Peter Parker keep an eye on him.”  At first she thought it was just a troll of someone hating Peter again but then she saw that it came from her cell and a month in the future.

    Peter looked at MJ, “Are you OK?”

    MJ said, “I just got a text saying to avoid DR Strange and apparently it was from me.”

    Peter said, “Thats funny I was thinking of going to see him to see if he could help fix this for you.”

    “How could he fix this?” MJ asked.

    “Well maybe if people forgot you knew Spiderman then you wou’dnt be lumped in with my crimes.  And MiT wou;d give you a second chance”  Peter replied.

    “First you are not a criminal,” MJ said with determination.  “And second i told you i dont regret knowing you and i don’t want to forget any part of you,  I like the whole package of Peter Parker the good and the bad.  Besides we can work shop this and find a way to talk to the college to make them change their mind.”

    Peter looked at her amazed, “You can call colleges and ask them to change their minds about letting you in after they said no?”

    MJ said, “Dont tell me you were thinking about brainwashing the entire world just to get me into college before you even considered talking to MIT.”

    Peter said, “Well it was for Ned too, but when you put it that way.”

    MJ just hugged Peter with a smile, “You are lucky I love you other wise I’d smack you.”

    Just then a Red beam enveloped MJ while a green one enveloped Peter.

A Giant Head in a tube spoke, “Alpha, I sense the evil known as Junko Enoshima has broken through the multiverse and has come here to spread her evil.”

Alpha spoke up, “Zordon, what shall we do to stop her?”

Zordon replied, “We need Spiderman and his friends to help defeat her.”

Alpha responded, “OK, I will transport them here immediately.” He pushed a few buttons on the computer, and six colored beams left and shot toward new york city.

NOVEMBER 1, 2024: QUEENS, NY

Ned Leeds was walking home from the donut shop trying to tape his rejection letter back together when he accidentally bumped into Betty, causing him to drop the note.  “Damn it!” He shouted.

“Everything OK?  Betty asked.

Ned sighed, “I got rejected from MiT.”

Betty hugged him.  “I’m so sorry.  I know that was your dream school; you still have your backups.”

Ned’s tears started to come down, “They already rejected me.”

Betty was angry, “What reason could they possibly have?”

“They don’t like my choice of friends.” He replied.

“OH.” She whispered.

“So I can abandon my best friend of 10 plus years and get into every college I have ever dreamed of.  Or I can stick by him and work fast food the rest of my life.”

“To quote MJ,” Betty said.  “People suck.”

Ned said, “I know if I left the choice up to Peter, he would tell me to ditch him and would live in a gutter so that I could have a life.”

Before Betty could respond, a pink and black light enveloped them and teleported them away.

NOVEMBER 1, 2024: THE COMMAND CENTER

Michelle opened her eyes; she was lying on the ground in a strange room.

“Are you OK?” Peter asked, helping her up.

“I’m fine; I think,” MJ replied.  She stood up and saw Ned and Betty.  “So you two are here too?”

Peter noticed a familiar young man getting up next to them.  “Harley?” Peter asked.

“Who’s this?” Ned asked.

Peter replied this is Harley Keener; Tony met him soon after the attack on New York, while Pepper and Tony adopted him during the blip.”

“Hey Pete, Morgan has been asking about you.  She wants you to take her swinging through the woods by the cabin.” Harley said.

“Will do,” Peter said.  “As soon as we get out of here.” He turned and saw a new person.  “Um, Hi, I’m,”

The girl said, “I know, you are Peter; my name is Cassie Lang.”

Ned gasped, “You’re Ant Man’s daughter.”

“WELCOME!” A voice boomed out of nowhere.:

“What was that?” Michelle asked.

A Giant head appeared.  “My name is Zordon, and the six of you have been chosen to stop a great evil that escaped from the Multiverse.  Behold the Viewing globe.”

“The what?” Betty asked.

A small red robot appeared and said, “The clear ball over there shows 3d movies.”

Ned said, “Cool, can I take you apart, Mr. Robot?”

“No, you can not; I’m Alpha 5, by the way.” The robot said.

“What happened to 1-4?” Betty asked.

“We don’t talk about them,” Alpha said.

A blond teenager with Pigtails appeared in the viewing globe.  “This is Junko Enoshima,” Zordon told them.

“This is the great big evil?” Michelle asked.

Alpha replied, “She had skills where she can annalize things before they happen, and she can spread despair where ever she goes.”

“What’s wrong with disappointment?” MJ asks, “it helps you grow.”

“Not disappointment,” Zordon said.  “Despair.  The kind of a disappointment that rocks you to your core and more.  You six will be given the power to defeat her.” Six strange devices with a coin appeared.  One went to each of the people standing in the room.  “Michelle Jones, you will be the Red Ranger and given the power of the Tryanasurus.  Ned Leeds, you will be the Black Ranger and given the power of the Mastodon.  Harley Keener, you will be the Blue Ranger and given the power of the Triceratops.  Cassie Lang, you shall be the Yellow Ranger and given the power of the Smilodon.  Betty Brant, you will be the Pink Ranger and given the power of the Pteranodon.   And finally, Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, you shall be the Green Ranger and given the power of the Dragon.”

Cassie and Michelle simultaneously said, “Cool, we got teeth.”

Ned said, “Um, thanks for this, but we are kind of busy, besides Peter here can handle stuff like this.”

Peter said, “Yeah, I'd rather not put my friends in danger if I can help it.”

The six walked out of the Command Center as Alpha said, “Well, that was a waste.”

NOVEMBER 1, 2024: WILDERNESS OUTSIDE THE COMMAND CENTER

As the six started to walk through the cliffs of wherever they were, Betty said, “He could of at least teleported us back to where we were after kidnapping us like that.”

Meanwhile, Junko watched as the six teens left on a cliff overlooking the Command Center.  “So these are the ones that are supposed to stop me, huh?  I should kill them now.” Behind her was an army of bear-shaped robots.  “Monokumas, Attack!”

DECEMBER 15, 2025: MJ & NED’S MIT DORM

“What are you hiding Peter?” (Beta Version 01) MJ asked.  Then paused, “Why does it feel like I’ve asked that before.”

Peter shook his head, “Let’s deal with one issue at a time.”  He points at Percy’s sword, “You both can see that sword?”

Ned nodded, “It’s like it fell out of his pocket and used to be a pen.”

Annabeth said, “Have either of you heard about the greek myths about the oylimpans?  Well what if i were to tale you they are real and still have kids today?”  

 Ned was brimming with excitement, “So you are saying we might have Greek God’s as parrents.  That is so awesome.”

Percy said, “Well they might not be your direct parents, even some a few generations seperated can still see through the mist.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ said, “I’m more interested in this time traveling text you said you sent.”

    Annabeth replied, “About a year ago, Percy here got a text from me about how to get into MiT with me.  The two strange things was it was sent from this date today, and it was sent from your phone.”  Pointing towards MJ.

    Ned asked, “So that’s why you asked if you could room with us at the start of the semester?”

    Percy replied, “The text also had a side effect too.  It distracted me long enough that I was there on the bridge when this guy decided to jump off of it and I was there to save his life.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ responded, “So the memory of you committing suicide wasn’t just a strange dream I had.”

    Annabeth asked, “What do you mean?”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ replied, “I rember last Christmas hearing about a Jon Doe that committed sucide last year by jumping off of a bridge into the water.  I also remember you Annabeth wanting to send a text to your boyfriend Percy so he could join you here at MIT next year and you used my cell to send him a text about how to do that but he was supposed to join us in ouyr sophomore year not our freshmen year..”

    Peter said, “So somehow the text was sent to Percy in the past.  Did you get any new things on your phone?”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ rolled her eyes, “If you are asking if I got a time travel app on my cell Im sorry to say I didn’t.”

    Ned said, “We did get that Amadeus App from the Neurology lab oh.”

    (Beta Version 01) MJ asked, “But what does an app that has to do with regain lost memories have to do with time travel?”

    Annabeth replied, “Well I guess we have to go to the lab and see for our self.”

    Peter, (Beta Version 01) MJ, Ned, Percy and Annabeth break into to the lab when no one is around.  Peter and Annabeth as children of Athena start to study the blueprints left in the selfs.

Ned asked, “So do you know which gods are our parents?”

Percy replied, “No, we don’t know until they deem important to tell us for some reason.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “I bet I have a female god as a mom cause I never got along with the mom I grew up with.”

Annabeth said, “Well if Seaweed Brain and I can send a message to our past self when all us were 12 maybe 🤔 we can find out who your godly parents were and start your training early.”

“Neat” Ned said.

Annabeth, “I’m assuming you two were blipped too like my twin here was.”

Ned and (Beta Version 01) MJ nodded.

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “We put these Helmets on to copy our memories to our cells.  How time travel is involved we don’t know.”

Peter said “According to these hypotheses the microwave timer might control how far messages are sent back.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ said “Well all of us are putting on the helmets and rondivoueing in the past.  No offense but you aren’t changing our past without us”

They all put on the helmets and set the timers to 2014 and hit the send button.

The world warped around all of them.

MAY 15, 2013: OSCORP FIELD TRIP

“Ow” (Gama Version 01) Peter yelled as he was bitten by a spider 🕷️ and as his future memories were rammed into his brain.  “talk about double overload”

(Gama Version 01) Peter caught up with the rest of the class who were waiting also cause (Gama Version 01) Ned and (Beta Version 01) MJ were resting cause they were both groaning in pain and suffering a headache from the memory overload 

(Beta Version 01) MJ looked at (Gama Version 01) Peter shocked, “You were on this field trip with us back then?”  She started to reconfigure her new memories as well as trying to fix her old ones,She frowned as she Slaps Peter in the cheek and punched (Gama Version 01) Peter in the Stomach.  “You were supposed to make us remember you, idiot”. Before pulling him into a hug,Screw her classmates all that matters now is the over sacrificial idiot is in her hands

“Michelle is hugging Penis Parker” Flash shouted flabbergasted on what he just witness,soon replaced by Jealousy,he huffed"Hmph Puny Parker must have done some questionable things to get her to love him"

(Gama Version 01) Peter grunted in pain whispering in her ear, “I guess since we went back before the spell was cast it doesn’t affect you in the past”He passes out in MJ arms as the Spider bite passes him out

MAY 15, 2013: CAMP HALFBLOOD

(Gama Version 01) Annabeth put her phone down and looked around.  She was back at Camp and she was also back in her 12-year body. “OK, I need to come up with a plan to find Peter, Michelle, and Ned and get them to camp.  I wonder if Seaweed Brain is…”

Clarissa’s voice pierced the darkness.  “The Minator is on the big hill attacking a kid and Grover.”

“Speak of the devil.” (Gama Version 01) Annabeth silently said.  “She grabbed her dagger and told her cabin “be ready if we were needed.”   Then she stood at the entrance of her Cabin trying to see if she could figure out a plan.

“The fun never stops here does it Annie,” a voice beside her said.  

(Gama Version 01) Annabeth froze in place and dropped her dagger which clattered to the ground.  The emotional capacity of her twelve-year-old body took over as tears came out of her eyes on their own accord.  She turned around and saw him standing there with his usual grin on his face.  “Luke.”  Then she fainted.

(Gama Version 01) Peter’s head still throbbed.  Between years of Memories being crammed into his mind and the spider bite starting to take effect, he was battling a two-sided war.  He looked to his the side of his bed and saw a young (Beta Version 01) MJ and (Gama Version 01) Ned on chairs staring at him.  “Make that a three-way war” he mumbled.

(Beta Version 01) MJ said, “I forgot how skinny and wimpy you used to be before the Spider powers took effect.”

(Gama Version 01) Peter weakly smiled, “I guess you can jot down the process on your science journal this time around.”

(Gama Version 01) Ned stood up, “Speaking of this time around.  How about you tell us why you didn’t remind us of you after the spell “

“You are lucky you are sick from the spider bite right now or I’d slug you again” (Beta Version 01) Michelle said standing up.  “The other half just wants to hold you in my arms and kiss which is weird since we don’t date for another 4 years.  Nine if you count the blip.”  She sat on his bed.  “Now spill.”

(Gama Version 01) Peter sighed, “Well I had a note 📝 and was going to tell you everything.  But I heard you talking about Finally getting into MiT with out me there to hold you back.  And I realized how happy you could both be without me messing up your life.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ just pressed her lips on (Gama Version 01) Peter’s and shook her head.  “Just when I thought you couldn’t get any dumber loser.  All those futures we planned at MIT mean nothing unless the three of us are together.”  Tears started falling from her eyes.  “And to think there was a timeline where you weren’t in the world with us at all is just.”  She tries to catch her breath from the crying she was now doing.”

“I’m sorry,” (Gama Version 01) Peter said grabbing her hand.  “Please don’t cry.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle sobbed, “I’m not crying it’s this stupid middle school body with its developing emotions,”

Just then they heard the door and Aunt May was talking to someone.  (Beta Version 01) Michelle and (Gama Version 01) Ned looked at Peter’s surprised face and wondered why he looked like he heard a ghost.  They realized it a few seconds before he opened the door.

“I heard you got sick 🤒 and got a girlfriend on your field trip.”  The older gentleman said surprised and worried 

“Uncle Ben,” (Gama Version 01) Peter simply said as quietly as a mouse.

Michelle and Ned eyes widened at the realization that this is their first time meeting Uncle Ben for the very first time

Pepper Potts and Athena were talking in the living room of Tony’s place.  Pepper said, “Of all of Tony’s flings I must say you are one of the more manageable and intellege once.”

Athena nodded, “I have come to respect you too, which is why before I go I need to ask a favor from you.”

Pepper who was curious, “And what favor might that be?”

“I would like any children that Tony and I might have be legally adopted by you as their mother.”  Athena responded.

Pepper looked shocked, “Are you pregnant?  I can recomind a good doctor.”

Athena said, “That is unnecessary, the twins will be here next month, I just need legal means to know they will be taking care of when I will be gone and I would like that to be you.  Tony is great and all but I seriously doubt he is ready to be a father all on his own.”

Pepper nodded, “I will have the paper work ready.”

AUGUST 10, 2001: STARK MANSION

Pepper heard the doorbell ring and when she went to answer it, there was Athena with two basenets in her hands.  One with a Blond haired girl and the other with a brown haired boy. 

“I have their paternity tests here proving they are both Tony’s children but feel free to check the results your self as well.  You are thorough that is one of the reasons I picked you to be their legal mother.  Speaking of which do you have the documents.”

Pepper nodded, “I have a lawyer and judge here to make it official.”

Athena nodded and she and Pepper signed the documents..  “Meet Annabeth and Peter, I hope you treat them well.  All I ask is when they are teenagers they go to a camp in New York for special training for their abilites.  The information is in the papers I gave to your lawyers.  Also Cellphones might attract danger for these two but Im sure Tony can create something to work around it..”  Then Athena just vanished.

Pepper just shook her head, “Tony had to get involved with the Greek Godess of Wisdom,”  She looked at the two babies who just looked up and smiled, “Well between her and him i bet you two will be something else entirely.  Well with a little help from me too.”

With all the legal stuff out of the way, she made an appointment at the hospital to double check but was 99% sure, Athena wasn’t lying about the paternity.  “Tony get up here and meet your kids.”

AUGUST 2004: STARK MANSION

Pepper and Tony just stood there as Obadiah Stane talked about how the car he had hired to take the twins Peter and Annabeth had break failure and drove off one of the cliffs of the California roads into the Pacific.  The two children were believed to have washed out into the sea.  Pepper and Tony were devastated as Obadiah again appologized and left the grieving parents alone to greive.

When he was outside he took a phone call, “Yes the two sperm stains are gone, now i just need to get rid of Tony and the company shall be mine.  Ive already have plans to bring Tony to the middle east I just need to finalize them.”

Meanwhile Athena was floating above the Stark Manor looking down.  “It is too dangerous to bring the kids back here right now, I need a safe place to place them.”

A young Annabeth appeared on the doorstep of a Fredrick Chase in Virgina, while a young Peter appeared on the doorstep of Richard and Mary Parker.

“These two families will take good care of them and raise them right until the time comes.”  Then Athena vanished.

Tony Stark was finally awake.  His survival had been kept a secret from everyone but his closest Family and Friends.  Happy Hogan and Rhodey were the first non family members to be there for his revival.

Happy looked at his boss, “Glad to see your eyes finally open.”

Tony replied, “Its good to see you with my eyes as well.”

Morgan squirming proclaimed, “Now that Daddy is awake we can invite Petey for Christmas to celebrate.  I missed hanging out with him these last few months.”

“Is Petey a friend from school?”  Tony asked.

Morgan looked confused, “No Daddy, you told me stories all about Petey growing up, he’s Spiderman.”

Pepper said, “How do you know Spiderman’s identity?”

Morgan replied, “We all do.  He was at Daddy’s fake funeral and he played with me a lot at the lake before his trip to Europe.”

Tony asked, “Why did Spiderman take a trip to Europe?  Some vigilante business?”

Morgan giggled, “No silly it was for his High School Field Trip.”

Tony said, “Spiderman was in highschool?”

Morgan said, “Yeah Daddy, you told me the story of how he was 14 when you recruited him.”

Rhoades said, “You brought a teenager to Berlin to fight Captain America?”

Pepper said, “That does sound like something you might do.”  She took a breath, the question now is, why have we forgotten all about it?”

The four children of the Chairman of the Steering Commity of Hope’s peak academy sit in the shadows as they plan for the devastation of the world.

Junko Enoshima proclaimed, “I already got the Web Swinger to commite suicide last year, so his hopeful ass won’t be around to get in my way.”

Sato Amami replied, “I killed the sister of the Kuzuryu heir and framed him for my own murder to cause a wedge in class 77 here at Hope’s peak.”

Rantaro Amami, “I managed to get a place into Hope’s peak space ark so I can help spread despair to the stars.”

Mukuro said, “I located the hiding place of the lab experiment Izuru Kamakura.”

Sato said, “You mean that reserve course kid Hajime that used to be in my class.”

Junko said, “I hope you didn’t speak to him, my smelly sister.  The last think we need is for you to corrupt him with your bad breath and smelly personality.”

“Im sorry Junko.”  Mukuro replied.

“Now the last thing I need to is to turn all of my uper classmates into the side of despair.  Sato here laid the first of the nails with Natusme’s death and now I have the perfect final touch.  Peter Parker isn’t the only hopeful parasite in my way.  The class rep of class 77, Chiaki Nanami is also Hopefully pathetic but her personality is already starting to mend the fractures between Mahiru and Fuhyuiko.  But If I kill her in front of them that will be the final nail in their coffin and soon I will have 14 Despairful Pawns to spread my will and without Spiderman there to stop them the World will soon fall to despair.”

Rantaro asked, “Should I keep an eye on the going ons of the MiT Neurology lab and their experiments?”

Junko nodded, “Yes, the last thing I need is Peter’s best friend, twin sister and lost love using time travel to bring him back, but find any info you can,  If i can use time travel to spread despair all the better.”

DECEMBER 25, 2025: STARK LAKE HOUSE

Morgan Stark was opening presents when the doorbell rang.  “Vistors?”

Pepper said, “Honey we have a surprise for you.”

Morgan popped up, “Is it Petey?”

Tony frowned and said, “No we havent found who ever that is yet but we did find someone else you like.”

Harley Keener walked into the room.  “How is my favorite little sister?”

Morgan jumped into his arms.  “I’m your only little sister.”

Harley turned to his parents, “She is right, you two haven’t adopted any other kids or any of dad’s past adventure’s come around.”

Pepper said, “No on both.”

Harley’s mom and his bio sister had been killed in the blip when the uber they were taking crashed when the driver blipped.  He had survived but was alone,  Tony had convinced Pepper to adopted Harley with him and he had been a big help with Morgan when she was growing up.

“So Mom and Dad told me you wanted someone else to come for Christmas too?”  Harley asked.

Morgan said, “His name is Petey, but I am happy you came too.”

Harley said, “Maybe I can help you find this Petey as a late Christmas present.”

JANUARY 1, 2026: MJ, NED AND ANNABETH’S MIT DORM

The three dormmates were celebrating the ending of the new year while Michelle and Ned were still looking at their Amadeus app to find out more about their memories of the boy that had committed suicide a year ago.

Annabeth looked at the picture of Peter and said, “Somehow I feel like i should know him or should of known him.”  She holds her hand to her heart like it was breaking.

Just then there was a knock on the door, Ned opened it up and asked, “How may we help you?”

“My name is Harley Keener,” the man on the other side said, “And I am looking for information on someone named Peter Parker and my sources say you three are the best to get information from.”

DECEMBER 15, 2025: MIT NEUROLOGY LAB

Junko Emoshima watched as the five put on the helmets and pushed the buttons to record their memories to the past.  As soon as the device activated she had her twin sister Makuro throw the sleeping gas to knock them all out.

“Who should we grab?”  Makuro asked.

Junko replied, “Thanks to that Water-brained hero, Peter is still alive so he will be a threat to my plans for the world.”

“Why don’t I just kill him then?”  She asked.

“And this is why you are the sidekick, pigs for brains,”  Junko said.  “Killing him would end his misery I want Spider-Man so distracted by despair he won't have time to interfere with me.  Grab the one he calls Ned, I have plans.

(Beta Version 01) Michelle woke up, “That gets stranger each time, at least we have a new backup of our memories.”  She pulled her cell out of the device as the others woke up too but that is when she noticed Ned was missing.  “Hey, where did Ned go?”

Annabeth said, “Maybe he had to leave?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle took his cell out of the attachment, “Then why did he leave his phone behind?”

Annabeth looked worried, “You are right, that is not like him at all.”

Peter just looked down and whispered, “This is all my fault.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle was angry and grabbed Peter by the arms, “What do you mean this is your fault what did you do to my friend.”

Annabeth pulled (Beta Version 01) Michelle off of Peter, “MJ I know you are angry but please don’t go after my brother.”

“You two are siblings?”  MJ asked.

“Twins actually,”  Annabeth replied.

(Beta Version 01) Michelle shook her head, “I just want to understand what he meant by it's his fault.”

Peter shouted, “Cause everyone that gets close to me dies, My Aunt May, Uncle Ben, Tony, hell you almost died that night by the statue of Liberty when you fell from the scaffolding.  Percy made a mistake when he saved my life that night.  He should of just let me hit the water.”

Annabeth pulled Peter into a hug.  “No, don’t say that.  Don’t go back to that dark place after this year getting better; I am not going to lose my brother do you hear me.”

Part of (Beta Version 01) Michelle’s heart was breaking for this practical stranger, the other was still freaked out for Ned, but the third part of her was analyzing the clues.  “What were you doing at the Statue of Liberty?  Ned and I were there helping Spider-Man for some reason, but….”  A light in her eyes flicked on.  “You are Spider-Man.  We were there to help you that night.  But why, what would cause us to help an avenger fight a battle like that.”

Peter looked away with tears in his eyes.  “It’s better if you just forget me and everything to do with me.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle grabbed his arms and yelled, “Bullshit, the only reason Ned and Me even came to this lab was to find out why we were thinking about you so much and why our memories have so many holes in it.  So tell me or I will just figure it out.”

December 15, 2025: MIT’s UNDERGROUND LAIR

Ned Leeds was strapped to a chair, and his eyes were being forced open so he could watch Junko;’s video of despair.  She had made the MiT student council members kill each other in cold blood and she filmed it for her own pleasure

The video also included her attempt at Mind control software.  It wasn’t as good as Ryota Mitarai’’s skills with it, she would need him to create a better version for her.

Makuro said, “What’s taking so long the kids we emailed the video to fell faster. then this.”

Junko smiled, “That's cause they were weak brainless fools, this one has more spirit so that's why seeing him fall into despair will be much more euphoric.”  She snapped her fingers, but do hurry this up will you.”

Makuro stood behind Ned and started poking his head with sewing needles.  “OK, just need to find the brain's pleasure center and get it activated.”

“Maybe for future videos, I should use something that they care about to turn them.”  Junko monologued while her sister poked Ned’s brain.  “Maybe watching how easily this loser feel will help turn Michelle and Peter.”

“NO!” Ned screamed, “Please don’t do this.”  Tears started to flow more freely from his eyes as he started to get a smile on his face and a feeling of pleasure.

Junko noticed as his eyes turned from the bright shade they were to spirals.  “Bout time.”  She turned to him with a smile on her face, “Welcome to my team, my dear Hobgoblin.”

MAY 16, 2013: CAMP HALFBLOOD

    (Gama Version 01) Percy woke up in bed inside the big house and  groaned, “Of course, my future memories would have to arrive during the Minatar fight.”  Looking around, “I wonder where Annabeth is?”

    “I’m over here, Seaweed Brain.” Her voice said over to Percy’s left.

    (Gama Version 01) Percy turned his head to see (Gama Version 01) Annabeth in the bed next to him.  “I don’t remember you being injured around this time too?”

    (Gama Version 01) Annabeth sighed, “That’s because I wasn’t.”  She took a deep breath.  “I fainted when I realized something.”

    (Gama Version 01) Percy said, “Something big must have caused someone like you to collapse.”

    (Gama Version 01) Annabeth looked away, “You could say that.”

    “Annie looks like you and our newcomer are finally awake.”  A voice came from the door and walked over to us.

    That is when I knew why (Gama Version 01) Annabeth fainted, “Luke.”

MAY 16, 2013: AUNT MAY’S APPARTMENT

    (Beta Version 01) MJ and (Gama Version 01) Ned hadn’t wanted to leave Peter’s side after finally getting him back.  So they had a slumber party at his apartment.  The three eleven-year-olds sleeping in the same bed were cute.

Peter opened his eyes and saw the smiling face of (Beta Version 01) MJ looking right back at him.

“Morning Spider Boy,” (Beta Version 01) MJ whispered.

“It’s Spider Man,” (Gama Version 01) Peter replied.

(Beta Version 01) MJ rolled her eyes,”You’re not even a Spider Teen yet.”

“It’s the principal of the matter,” (Gama Version 01) Peter complained.

(Beta Version 01) MJ just gave him a smile.

“Fine,” (Gama Version 01) Peter gave in.  “But only you can call me that.”

“Whatever you say loser.  I….” (Beta Version 01) MJ spots a cat 🐈‍on Peter’s windowsill.  “How did a cat get up here?  There is no fire escape here.”

“I love cats.” (Gama Version 01) Ned said waking up.

The cat said, “It took me forever to track you down.  You weren’t at the camp like i thought you would be.”

(Gama Version 01) Peter froze up, “Did that cat just talk?”

(Beta Version 01) MJ replied, “We have had Purple Alliens, multiverse openings, and Time Travel texts and a talking cat surprises you?”

“My name is Luna,” the cat said.  “And you are the Guardian known as Sailor Moon 🌙 and you are needed to fight for justice.”  She did a back flip and a locket appeared.  “Say Moon Prism Power, Transform.  And you will transform into a Sailor Guardian.”

(Gama Version 01) Ned said, “Wow I know two comic book heroes now.”

(Beta Version 01) MJ smiled, “Looks like in this timeline you are going to have a crime-fighting partner.”

Junko Enoshima and her older twin sister Mukuro Ikusaba waited in the center of all the Multiverse for their guest to arive.

Mukuro walked back and forth in the area they were in.  “Do I need to be here?  That Michelle girl seems to be remembering events when the Timeline shifts so she might be dangerous and should be stopped.”

Junko replied, “I’d rather you not be here either sis.  Your stink is hurting my nose and its probably infecting all of the Multiverses but Dad wants you here too for some reason.”

Mukuro asked,  “I wonder how his plans are going?”

Junko responded, “I heard he had a small set back in his plans so he must be so mad with despair right now,  I’m so jelous.  But i weep for those who got in his way.  He gave us this Earth to be our play thing cause he loves me so much.”

Just then a multiversal ship appeared and the door started to open.

Junko said, “Don’t open your mouth, or daddy might leave cause of your bad breath,”

Junko and Mukuro got on one knee and bowed their heads.

“Rise Daughters,”  The voice said  “For once I conquer all you will stand by my side.”

Mukuro said, “I am not worthy.”

Junko said, “Of course you aren’t.”

Their dad just laughed.  “I missed this bickering between you too.  Come lets see who is preventing this Earth from falling under your claim and eliminate them.  They shall face my wrath or my name isnt Kang the Conquerer.”

DECEMBER 16, 2025: MJ & ANNABETH’s MiT DORM

(Beta Version 01) Michelle starred at Peter.  “OK Now tell me how Ned missing is your fault.”  With anger in her voice.

Peter looked down, “You know how I’m Spider Man, right?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle nodded, “I had to find that out by going to a memory specialist and getting my memories unlocked.  But why would I forget something like that?”

Peter asked, “Do you remember the Mysterio Incident at the start of your senior year?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle replied, “You were accused of killing him and exicuting the attack in London.  But you were found innocent.  I remember that much.”

Peter responded, “I was found innocent in a court of law, but the court of public oppinion wasn’t as forgiving.   The Daily Buggle was fanning the flames.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle said, “I rember there were Mysterio supporters everywhere.”  She balled her fist up.  “I wanted to punch them so bad.”  She paused for a moment.  “Why do I rember feeling so angry for you?”

Peter looked down, “Cause you and Ned used to be my friend.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle looked puzzled, “Used to be?”

Peter responded, “All three of us got rejected from MiT cause of the controversy.  You two were being dragged cause of me.  You said you wouldn’t change a thing but I wanted to give you and Ned the life you deserve.  So I went to Steven Strange and asked him to make the world forget I was Spider Man to distance you from the mess, but…”

Annabeth said, “Go on.”

Peter said, “When he said everyone would forget I panicked and got selfish.  I kept asking if you and Ned and my aunt May could remember still and I kept on distracting him.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle responded, “It sounds like he should of explained the details of the spell before he cast it.”

Peter did a small chuckle.  “You said almost the same thing to him.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle gave a slight smile.

Peter said, “So after the spell failed, I went to talk to the admissions lady.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle asked, “Wait you didnt talk to MiT before you tried to brainwash the world?”

Peter looked down, “That’s what Dr Strange said.”

Percy replied, “Continue.”

“So I tracked down the lady on the highway bridge and was singing your praises when a giant human octopus attacked.”  Peter said.

(Beta Version 01) Michelle said, “I remember getting rejected, but never understood why but later when we got our acception letters it said that Spider Man put in a good word for us.”

The octopus man was only the beginning there were at least four others that we knew about that traveled from other Earth’s.  The spell brought everyone who knew a Peter Parker was Spider Man to this Earth.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle eye lit up, “I rember seeing the sky lit up above the statue.”

Peter said, “We attempted to cure the badguys of their evil before sending them backm but before we could, one of them murdered my Aunt May in front of me.  Then bassicly threw you off the statue.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle gasped, “I rember that.  But you saved me.”

Peter shook his head, “It wasnt me it was a Peter from Earth 120703 he caught you while I could do nothing.  More were coming through and the only way to seal the whole was to make the reason they were coming gone.  If everyone forgot who I was.  Not my secret identity, but me completely.”

Mukuro gave Ned a yellow mask, “Here put this on to disguise your self”

Junko said, “The mask was for you so I didn’t have to see your fugly face.  But I guess Hobgoblin here can use it too since your too dumb to.”

Ned/Hobgoblin asked, “How may I serve?”

Junko said, “I need you to distract Spider Man.  I was originally going to have him commit suicide so he wouldnt get in the way of my plans but that water freak saved him so I need him out of the way so I can brainwash a whole class of Ulitmate kids.”

Mukuro, “You are going to brainwash them all at once?  How.”

Junko said, “By murdering someone they all love in front of their faces.”

DECEMBER 16, 2025: MJ & ANNABETH’s MiT DORM

(Beta Version 01) Michelle exclaimed, “That was your answer make the world forget you.  We were future MiT prospects we could of worked shopped something.”

Peter said, “Thats what yo usaid then too.  But I promised you I would find you both and make you remember.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle replied, “But you didn’t.”

Peter said, “I came into the coffee shop that day to keep my promise but I over heard you and Ned say you had gotten into MiT here and your injury wasn’t hurting as much, and thats when I realized.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle asked, “Realized what?”

Peter said, “That you and Ned could have much happier lives with out me there to drag you down, so I let you forget and left to be on my own.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle yelled, “That wasn’t your choice.”

Peter said, “Huh?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle responded, “If you wanted to be an idiot and try to do stuff alone and push us away thats fine.  But you never gave us the choice for our selfs.  If we chose to stay by your side or not was our decision no matter how bad it might of been.”

Peter explained, “But look at the great life you and Ned have had this past year.  All with out me to mess it up.”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle shouted, “It was all acting!”

Annabeth asked, “Acting?”

(Beta Version 01) Michelle said, “Ned and I may of put on a brave face but for the past year we bothfelt like something in our minds and heart was missing.  We even went to that Lab to see if something was wrong with our Memories where we found out we had two sets of memories inside of us.  I remember you commiting suicide last Christmas on the News and I didnt understand why my heart was breaking for someone I met once.  But after Annabeth here texted Percy, everything changed.  All of a sudden you were alive and and Percy was at MiT instead of attempting to get in.”

Annabeth, “When did I sent that text?

(Beta Version 01) Michelle said, “Yesterday.”

Percy said, “But I got that text almost a year ago.  It was so long so i had to stop and read it all.  While I was reading it I noticed some commotion up above and saw this guy here jumping so i acted out of instinct and used my Water Powers to catch him.”

Annabeth realized, “If you hadn’t gotten that text you would of been long gone by the time Peter jumped.  But what i dont understand is how can you remember the past timeline before the changes and…”

“Just then a voice yelled out, “Can Spider Man come out to play?”A Chill ran down Peter spine he still remembers those words from that fateful day.

(Beta Version 01) Michelle, Percy, Peter, and Annabeth ran to the window and saw what looked like a goblin on a flying board.

(Beta Version 01) Michelle said, ”I thought you said you sent the Green Goblin back to his Earth?”

Peter said, “I did, I thought.”

The creature said, “I'm not the Green Goblin, I’m the Hobgoblin and I’m here to drag you all down to the depths of despair.”

ive been wanting to continue this for a while but between being stuck for basic ideas or seeing each chapter has no major emotions in it ive been wanting to do a rewrite for sometime.

just write the story again from kind of scratch keeping the major events here but write it better.  I did this before which is why this story is called revamp lol

If anyone out there is a writer and can help me try to and more heart to the story I’d appreciate it.  Hopefully some progress will be made to this story by January
