Work Text:
"We gotta spend the whole two weeks choreographing and practicing."
"Yes."
"I think it's easier for us to stay in a same place instead of commuting from our houses to here every single day." Bamby gives an idea. They're now spending the whole day at Vlast building, inside the dance room. "What do ya think? I just think it's kinda wasting time to commute and all."
Hamin shrugs and nods, actually that's not a bad idea. "Sure. It's fine by me."
Plave will make their comeback soon and everyone is busy preparing for it; both the producer line and the dance line. They just had a meeting with the CEO, informing and discussing about the comeback. William is always open for any idea and opinion from the members though, making the culture of the company becomes more positive (but some of the interns and staffs in the company are a bit too problematic... well, duh. That's another story.)
Then, the dance liner will be spending their two weeks at Hamin's place as agreed by both, after considering how costly the living expense around Bamby's area and Hamin thinks that he can't afford the daily food delivery fee and any other possible costs despite has been reassured by Bamby that everything will be on him (which makes it even worse for Hamin).
Compared to Bamby's living place that is a penthouse in a luxurious neighborhood where everything is gonna be very expensive, Hamin's one is more tolerable; just a medium sized two-story home located in a moderate residential area.
.
.
.
"Is it okay? Your parents?" Bamby seems a bit hesitate now that they've arrived outside the house. He's living by himself but Hamin is not. The younger is living with his family.
"It's okay, I've informed them about your stay for two weeks and they're fine with it." Hamin helps carrying the tiny luggage Bamby brings along with his backpack. It's already five in the evening, they'll only start working on new choreo the next day. "And I've told you, right? They'll be leaving to Busan tomorrow noon for the agricultural project with my dad's sister." He has no idea what that project is about but his parents seem so invested in it. Whatever is that, he wishes them a success.
"Bamby nim, welcome~" Mrs. Yu greets the guest. This is the first time her son ever brought any Plave member home. "It's a pleasure to meet you again." When was the last time? Quite long ago before the group even debut.
As usual, Bamby gets shy around someone unfamiliar. He bows politely. "Ah, it's my pleasure. Thank you for letting me stay here for these two weeks."
"Hamin had informed us, you two are going to discuss about dance and those stuffs for comeback, right? It's okay. Make yourself at home~"
They continue talking while heading to the living room.
"Let me make some drink for you."
"Oh, don't trouble yourself, auntie."
"It's nothing~ Tea is okay?"
"Yes, sure. Thank you."
Then, Mrs. Yu excuses herself to the kitchen, leaving her son and their guest.
Bamby fidgets and takes a seat on the couch, he's never been to his friends' place to stay for this long except for Eunho, his childhood friend.
"Are you nervous, hyung?" Hamin snickers teasingly. He's lowering the aircond temperature so it won't be too hot in here.
"Your mom is so kind!" Bamby shouts in half whisper tone. "I'm shy." He mumbles quietly.
Hamin chuckles, thinking the older male is cute when he gets shy like this. "Just relax. I think she likes you." Bamby is so likeable anyway, so he doesn't need to worry.
His eyes quietly wander around the place. A medium sized house, smaller than his penthouse of course but comfortable enough with muted colors theme, everything from the sofa to the rug, the floor lamp and even the cushions. A textured accent wall with geometric patterns enhances the entire aesthetic of the space. The coffee table with a marble top at the middle of the moderate living room and the French windows brings natural light into the space. So cozy.
"Your dad isn't home?"
"Oh, probably busy in his reading room."
"Hamin, go help bringing Bamby's things upstairs and tell your dad to come down join us for snacks." Mrs. Yu says as she comes back into the living room with a tray of drink and strawberry dessert.
"Okay, mom."
"I-It's- I can carry them by my own." Bamby was about to get up from the couch but Hamin stops him by the shoulder.
"It's fine, hyung. I'll do it."
Just a small luggage and a backpack anyway. Bamby and Mrs. Yu don't take so long to get along well with each other. She asks him how's Hamin when he's with the members, whether he's doing good and listens to the hyungs well. Bamby tells her all the good things and she's glad to know.
"He was so happy to be a part of the group. He keeps saying how all the hyungs treat him nicely and wishes to do this for a very long time." Mrs. Yu chuckles as she remembers how excited her son during the first day of their debut.
Bamby smiles, "So cute." He begins to wish the same too. Not to mention, he decided to join the group more like just to kill time and because he wants to do this with Eunho too. But after meeting all these new friends, especially Hamin who's a complete stranger to him at first, getting to know them, Bamby wishes they can stay together for a long time. "Yea, I wish the same."
Later, Hamin comes into the living room with his dad and Bamby immediately greets the elder. He gets nervous again but Hamin sits next to him and holds his hand under the table, reminding him to just relax.
Mr. Yu is just as friendly and soft-spoken as his wife though. Bamby can tell where Hamin got that soft and gentleness from.
Four of them spend the rest of the evening having another long and fun chat over a dinner before the two youngers going upstairs to wash up while the elders are enjoying their time in the living room watching their favorite night show on tv.
Hamin is playing game on his phone when Bamby has finished taking a shower and walking out from the bathroom.
"Ah, hyung. You're done? My turn now."
"Yea, thanks for the shower." Towel on top of his damp pink head. "Where do I sleep tonight?"
"With me on the bed." Hamin replies with a straight face but breaks into a fit of laughter when Bamby shoots him the infamous bombastic criminal offensive side eye. "I'm just kidding!"
They have limited room in the house, only four rooms upstairs and all are already occupied; master bedroom, Hamin's room, reading room/mini library, and a room where they keep fitness equipment like treadmill, exercise bike and dumbbells. Meanwhile, the one downstairs is only for storeroom.
"You can take the bed, I'll take the floo-"
"No, I'm taking this." Bamby cuts and dives into the futon that has been laid by Hamin on the floor beside the bed.
"Hyung, but-"
"I'm the guest here."
"But-!"
"No buts."
Hamin pouts slightly, he feels bad for letting the older one sleeping there but Bamby is stubborn enough not to take the bed. "Okay... but let me know if it gives you back pain later."
"Excuse me? I'm not that old yet, Hamin-ah." Bamby huffs and takes his phone to play with it. Furthermore, the room only has one single bed and it will be too cramped for two grown up dudes to share. "Don't worry. I'll let you know if my back hurts."
The younger nods with a smile, "M'kay." Then, he goes into the bathroom to wash up.
Day 001
Mrs. Yu cracks her eyes open as she needs to use toilet. What time is it? 3.10 a.m. Then, she leaves the bed.
After using the toilet, she walks out from the master bedroom to go downstairs and have a glass of water in the kitchen, but that's when she sees a glimpse of someone walking slowly, heading to the staircase. She gasps in surprise.
"Bamby ssi?"
No answer. His head is hanging low, walking so slowly and breathing steadily like he's in a deep sleep. Only then, she realizes that Bamby is sleepwalking.
Before he can reach the staircase and walk down, Mrs. Yu holds his wrist so carefully not to wake him up. Then, she turns him around and leads him back to the bedroom.
"Uh.. mom? What's wrong?" Hamin rubs his eyes. The lights on and rustling noise wakes him up. He sees his mom is tucking the pink haired male into the futon.
"Sorry, you woke up." Mrs. Yu half whispers.
"Is everything okay?" He whispers back, looking at his mom and Bamby back and forth.
"Yes. I just saw him sleepwalking earlier."
Sleepwalking? Hamin learns new thing about Bamby's sleep disorder today.
"I think you have to keep an eye once in awhile for tomorrow and the nights after. He was heading to staircase when I found him earlier."
"Will it be okay if we just lock the door, so he won't go outside?"
"Not sure if he'll be able to unlock it, but you can try."
Hamin nods, making a mental note about this.
.
.
"Bamby ssi, you can twist his ear if he doesn't listen to your words."
"Eyyy mom, I always listen to hyung." Hamin whines lowly. Bamby just smiles at the other two.
"Take care and look after the house." This time, Mr. Yu speaks. He just finished putting all the bags into the car.
"Yes, uncle."
"Okay, dad."
"We'll get going now~" Mrs. Yu bids goodbye before leaving with her husband.
That was early this noon. Now, Hamin and Bamby are spending their time in living room, finally working on their new choreography. The clock reads 30 minutes passed 7pm and the sky outside is getting darker when the delivery boy sends the pizza and coke they ordered. It'll be their dinner for tonight.
"So, the steps here, how about we do it like this." Hamin shows the steps, moving his body and limbs sharply. His movement always sharp and smooth, Bamby admires it a lot.
"Not like this?" Now, Bamby stands up too and does the same part but differently. "Left hand and right leg first, then, ham- ta- ta- ta- right hand and left leg, ta- ta- bam."
"Oh? That ain't look bad. Show me one more time, hyung."
"Left hand and right leg, ham- ta- ta-..."
"..ta- right hand and left leg, ta- ta- bam."
"Right. What do ya think?"
"Cool! So, this part will be like this." Hamin practices it few more time and nods. Then, they start eating the pizza while listening to the melody of one of their new songs, making sure the dance step they make will fit the song well. After the dinner, they continue choreographing a bit more and stops at 11pm. Hamin still wants to keep going but Bamby already seems sleepy, so they decide to wrap up things.
That night, they sleep at their respective spot like yesterday. Hamin on the bed and Bamby on the futon.
"Hyung, your back hurts?"
"Not yet." Bamby snickers at Hamin's concerned look. "I'm fine, I told ya."
"Okay." The younger rests his head on his folded arm on the pillow, facing the pink head.
"Go sleep now. We gotta wake up early for breakfast."
"Okay."
"Good night, Haminnie."
"Good night, hyung."
After making sure Bamby is asleep, Hamin goes to lock the door.
.
Day 002
tic, toc, tic, toc
"Mpph.."
Hamin wakes up at the random noises. He sits and checks the time. Only 3 a.m. Then, he looks around the room when he notices Bamby isn't in the futon. Using toilet? Hamin thinks, but then he sees the older guy standing with his back facing him. The puppy whimper noise earlier was coming from the latter.
"Hyung?" Hamin gets up from the bed and carefully approaches the older who has his forehead pressed against the sliding door to the balcony attached to the room.
Bamby isn't responding, staying still on the spot. As hamin stops just right behind the latter, he can hear a light snore.
Oh.. right, sleepwalking.
Smiling sleepily, Hamin leads the older male back to the futon without waking him up.
.
.
"Hyung, do you aware you sleepwalking at night?"
Hamin decides to ask during one of their take fives for the day. Bamby is taken aback at the change of topic, he brings his gaze from the paper in his hold to the guy opposite to him.
"Oh, yes. My grandma used to tell me that."
"It's been going on for a long time?"
"Well, since I was younger. It used to be severe in back then. She found me in the elevator once as I tried to go to the parking lot."
"Omg hyung! That's so dangerous!"
"I know right. Sorry, I forgot to tell you about this disorder. Did I do anything nonsense these past two nights?" Bamby sounds apologetic, worries that he might have bring so much trouble.
"No, no. You were just standing and leaning against the sliding door to the balcony last night."
"Oh god. It must have freaked you out."
"It did surprised me but I didn't freak out."
"Seeing me sleepwalking or seeing ghost, which one is scarier?" Bamby tests with a small smirk.
"Neither."
"You scared of nothing, huh?"
"I get scared when hyung gets angry."
"What? Angry me is scarier than ghost?"
Hamin hesitantly nods and both of them burst into laughter.
.
Day 003
Bamby does it again.
It's 3 a.m. as Hamin checks the time on his phone screen. 3 in the morning. Again.
This time, the older male tries to unlock the door but struggling with it. Hamin comes to the rescue and puts him back to sleep.
As the time pattern is same on these three days, Hamin starts to set an alarm for 3 a.m. so he'll wake up on time for the hyung.
.
004
3 a.m., Beep, beep, beep, beep,...
Hamin turns off the alarm, rubbing his eyes and looks for Bamby right away, he is sure the latter won't be there on his futon.
He gasps upon seeing the bedroom door is already unlocked and opened wide. Then, he rushes out to search for Bamby. The older guy is walking slowly, heading to the staircase again probably just like how his mom saw it the first night.
Quickly but carefully, Hamin stops in front of Bamby and holds him by the elbows. The pink headed was only two steps away from the stairs, Hamin managed to stop him on time. Phew.
"Okay, let's go back to our room." He whispers under his breath and gently turns the smaller one around, leads him back to the room.
.
.
"Hyung, you once said that you live alone, right?"
"Yes?"
They are walking to a nearby restaurant now, tired of ordering for delivery every day. "Let's try pasta!" Hamin suggested earlier. So, now they're going to have pasta for lunch.
"Isn't it dangerous? No one's gonna keep an eye on you when you sleepwalk."
"Oh, it's fine. I've taken the necessary precautions like installing safety gate at the top of stairs, setting a hard password to unlock the front door, and keep all the knives or dangerous tools out of reach too." Bamby shrugs, casually explains it. He's already too used to this sleeping disorder. Sometimes it gets better and sometimes it gets worse.
"Don't worry, you actually no need to stop me every time. I'll naturally go back to the bedroom after touring the place." He chuckles.
But even so, it's still dangerous, right? Hamin thinks to himself.
The tomato spaghetti that they have for lunch later are so good, they enjoy it a lot. Maybe Hamin should bring Bamby to try out more restaurant around the area next time.
Later at home, they have a video call with Noah, Eunho and Yejun. Asking about each other's progress of their project so far and whether the dance line got a hard time with the new music. The producer line is working on ballad songs. Everyone is definitely working so hard and giving their best for this comeback.
.
Day 005
3 a.m.,
Bamby is right in front of the stairs when Hamin finds him. He leads him back patiently.
.
Day 006
3 a.m.,
and just like the previous days, Bamby unlocks the door and walks out of the room again, heading to the staircase but Hamin comes on time to eases him back to the bedroom.
.
Day 007
3 a.m.,
this time, Bamby is already on the second tread of the staircase when Hamin sees him. Quickly, the younger comes down to the third tread in front of him. "Where are you going, hyung?" He whispers, not to wake Bamby up. "Let's go." He carefully turns the pink headed around and up the stairs again.
.
Day 008
3 a.m.,
Hamin jolts and wakes up, not from the alarm but the noise coming from downstairs. His heart speeds up, seeing the familiar sight; empty futon and open door, but the sound from downstairs worries him the most. He immediately rushes out of the room and Bamby is nowhere to be seen, not even at the stairs. Then, he goes downstairs to actually check on the noise he heard earlier.
"Hyung-!"
Bamby is there sitting on the cold floor, in front of the very last tread of the staircase. He's holding his ankle and hisses. Hamin quickly approaches and kneels down beside him after switching on the light.
"Hyung, did you fall?"
"It hurts." The pink headed whimpers lowly. "My ankle." He doesn't know how he even gets here, must be sleepwalking again. The ankle and the area around it redden, looking painful. "We still have a long way to go with the choreo, I still want to dance and practice but what if this-"
"Shh shh.. don't think about that for now." Hamin hushes the other. "Let's treat it first before it gets worse. Can you stand up?"
"Y-Yes." Bamby struggles to get up but luckily, he only injured one foot. He wraps an arm around Hamin's nape while the younger's arm around his waist, leading him to a couch in living room.
The pink haired male is so quiet, overthinking about so many what ifs. What if this injury gets worse and they have to postpone the comeback or he won't be able to participate in it or Hamin has to continue with the rest of the choreo by himself or this will trouble everyone or--
"Hyung." Hamin's voice brings Bamby to his senses again. "It's done."
A bandage wraps securely around the thin ankle. "Let's have this checked at clinic tomorrow, ok?" The guy sitting on the mat says again and Bamby just nods sadly.
Hopefully, there is nothing too serious. May this be just a minor injury and will heal real quick.
"Are you sad, hyung?" Hamin holds the smaller hands, resting on Bamby's lap. The latter nods again.
"Don't worry so much. Let's sleep and get some rest first."
Another silent nod.
Then, Hamin gets up from the floor and carries Bamby in bridal style, surprising the older male.
"H- Hey, you don't have to--!"
"Let me do this. You don't want the ankle to get worse, right?"
Sighing, Bamby gives in and wraps his arm around Hamin's neck.
The taller male heads upstairs, carefully carrying the other in his arms. Bamby is so light, it feels like carrying nothing for Hamin. "Sorry, hyung. I was late to wake up this time. Maybe we should just sleep in living room after this? So we can avoid the stairs."
"What are you apologizing for? Not your fault." Bamby snickers and rests his head on Hamin's shoulder. "It's fine to sleep in your bedroom though, I'll be more careful next time." Ah.. this disorder is so annoying. I made Hamin apologize for nothing.
.
.
"Luckily, it's not that serious. But still, you shouldn't move a lot for these few days. I'll provide painkillers, and you may also buy the spray to bring down swelling only if needed from nearby pharmacy." The doctor speaks to the two young guys in front of him. Bamby glances at his sprained ankle, feeling a bit relieved to know this injury isn't severe.
"Alright, thanks doctor." Hamin says with a slight bow before leaving the room with Bamby. "You hear that? Not serious but don't move so much." He looks at the shorter beside him who just snorts at it. "You can leave the rest of choreo to me-"
"No." Bamby is so stern and determined about this one. "We always do this together. This time is no exception."
Hamin sighs quietly and gives in. "Fine, but I'll be the one to lead the process."
"Okay."
.
Later that night, Hamin drags a heavy table from the reading room and places it at the top of the stairs as a barricade, so Bamby won't be able to walk pass through it again.
"Uh.. don't you think this is too much?" Bamby scratches his head, not sure about the precaution taken.
"Better safe than sorry, right?"
"But we've agreed to... uh.. share the bed so you can stop me if necessary?"
"Yes, that too."
"If we've blocked the stairs then we don't need to share the bed--"
"I'm gonna remove this table now."
Bamby laughs at Hamin's straight face while saying all of these. They've agreed to share the bed, so if anything, Hamin will be more alert. The younger was the one who insisted on doing this.
So, that's how it is for this night. Finally, Bamby sleeps in the bed, but together with Hamin. It's actually not too cramped as how they expected it to be though. Bamby lying on the inner part of the bed, just beside the wall while Hamin on the outside.
"Should we put something in the middle so we won't trespass each other's side?" Bamby asks, thinking of placing bolster pillow in between them. "You're pervert, I can't trust you." He adds playfully.
Hamin scoffs, "Says the one who can't keep his hands to himself and touch my butt every time he gets the chance." Bamby gasps and laughs at it in disbelief.
"You're no different! You like to slap and spank my bu-"
"Okay, okay. You make it sounds so strange, hyung." Hamin places his palm over Bamby's mouth. His face is red now and Bamby laughs evilly as he enjoys teasing the younger.
"Don't kick my sprained foot."
"Aren't you the one who have a bad sleeping manner?"
"Hey, I'm not. Who told you that?"
"Eunho hyung."
"Pshh."
"He said you kick a lot in your sleep. You kicked him in the shins and stomach once and he vomited the next morning."
"Pshh.. that was when we were kids."
"Omg.. you didn't even deny that. Now what's gonna happen to me...?" Hamin murmurs the last sentence to himself.
"He was just exaggerated! You won't die from a kick or two." Bamby rolls his eyes and sighs.
"I won't pass out too?"
"I didn't say that."
"Omg."
Then, they sleep just like that without putting anything between them, yet they still keep a safe distance. Hamin and Bamby are no longer the awkward strangers like they used to, but they are not that super close yet to comfortably sleep in a same bed like this.
Or so they thought.
.
Day 009
Hamin wakes up to the alarm... and the warmth around his torso. He turns off the alarm and glances down to see Bamby is hugging him. What? Hamin just had to check the time again, just in case he set the wrong alarm. It's 3 a.m just like usual. Hyung is not sleepwalking today?
He wonders if this plan actually works. Let's continue using this way for few more days and see if the pattern changes. Smiling, he hugs back the smaller male.
.
Day 010
3 a.m.,
Hamin wakes up and finds himself back hugging the pink haired guy. Oh. He's here today too. Turning off the alarm, Hamin remains in the position and falls asleep again.
.
.
"Hyung! I think we have found the solution to your sleep disorder."
"What's it?"
They are inside the reading room now, still working on the new choreo while trying out new surrounding to bring fresh mood.
"Maybe you just need someone to sleep by your side."
"W-What is that..?"
"You didn't sleepwalk these past two days."
"Since we started sharing the bed?"
"Yes! Maybe you were just restless, stress or anxious. So, having someone with you when you sleep is kinda helpful."
Bamby hums, what Hamin just said is actually kind of making sense. But he doesn't think he is stress or anxious enough that may result in such sleeping disorder.
"Then, how about tonight we try to sleep separately again and see if it's getting better." Hamin suggests and Bamby wants to protest but has to agree anyway to make things don't look weird.
.
Later that night, Bamby sleeps in the bed while Hamin takes the futon this time.
"Good night, hyung."
"Eung. Good night."
Both of them are just so tired from working on the choreo and racking their brains the whole day today that they want nothing but a good sleep. It doesn't even take so long for them to fall into the deep slumber.
.
Day 011
3 a.m., beep.. beep..
Hamin turns off the alarm and takes a look at the bed. He smiles sleepily, Bamby is there sleeping soundly. Thank goodness, it's getting better. Maybe the previous two nights when they slept together have been so helpful in temporarily (if not permanent) fixing the disorder. Then, Hamin continues to sleep.
However, the next morning, he wakes up to Bamby in his arms on the futon.
Wait, what? Did he sleepwalk after I slept again?
He sighs, thinking things are getting better. The pink haired guy stirs in his sleep when Hamin gets up from there to use bathroom and brush his teeth. It's 8 in the morning, maybe he can buy some breakfast before the older one wakes up. They slept quite early last night, so he has had enough sleep and now feeling so fresh.
Later as they are having breakfast together in the living room, Hamin brings up the topic.
"Hyung, it seems like you sleepwalked again last night." The tall male looks gloomy. He wishes he can do something about it. "You were in the futon when I woke up this morning."
Bamby remains quiet for the next minute before he finally says something. "I didn't." He mumbles into the bread in his hold. Hamin brings his focus from the notebook on the table to the guy opposite to him.
Pardon?
"That wasn't because I sleepwalking." Bamby speaks again, purposely not looking up to avoid eye contact. He accidentally woke up at 4 something, looked around the dim room before leaving the bed to lie in the futon with Hamin. Those nights when they slept together, he woke up in the middle and found himself whether hugging or being hugged. It felt nice. But of course he won't going to admit this.
Oh.
Hamin can get it somehow. If it wasn't because of Bamby sleepwalking, then it meant the hyung walked there by himself, consciously coming to the futon. Both of them clear their throats at the sudden realization and awkwardness.
Ohh.
"W-Well.., so let's proceed with the last two parts of our last choreo today."
"Y-Yes, hyung."
"Then, we can just spend the remaining days practicing and get familiar with the whole three choreos."
"Right, hyung."
.
That night is a bit awkward for them at first, knowing both of them actually don't mind to share the bed or futon, anywhere, together again.
Bamby just finished taking the shower when Hamin is already lying on the bed. This time, the older lets the younger one to use the bathroom first before him. There is no futon laid on the floor tonight. Oh. They are going to share the bed, right? He gulps nervously as if this is the first time. As if they didn't sleep together for three nights already.
"Hyung, come over here." Hamin scoots to the side to save some space for the pink headed.
"Uh, is- is it really okay?" Bamby hesitantly walks closer to the bed.
"Why are you acting shy now when you were the one joining me in the futon yesterday?"
AHA. Hamin just really had to tease him, huh?
"You- I'm not sh--!"
Bamby is about to protest and argue back but he takes a wrong step and nearly twists his ankle again. He staggers and almost fall forward, but Hamin manages to catch him on time.
"Uh! That was close. Hyung, be careful. Your sprained ankle is already getting better. So, be careful." Nagging like his Noah hyung now.
"Alright, alright. Sorry." Bamby sits on the edge of the bed while letting Hamin examines his ankle. It isn't swollen, fortunately. No redness as well. "See? I told you, I'm fine."
After drying his hair using the towel and hairdryer, he finally joins Hamin in the bed.
"S-Sorry for the intrusion, I guess." He murmurs shyly while lying down beside the younger who chuckles at the random politeness.
They stay at their respective side, lying flat and straight on their backs while facing the white ceiling above them. A silence for a minute before Bamby breaks the ice first.
"Did I kick in my sleep?"
"Uh? Surprisingly no."
Since he started living by himself, he doesn't know how he sleeps. No one can tell him the sleeping habits he currently has. So, he just wonders.
"Oh, I'm well behaved now."
"Yea. No more bad sleeping manner." Hamin teases with a straight face and receives a light smack on his chest. He abruptly laughs at it. "I'm just kidding, just kidding."
Bamby scoffs and rolls his eyes but then smiles anyway. Teasing each other is in their nature, after all. It's not a big deal.
"Hyung, I wish for our comeback to be a big success."
"I hope the same. Everyone is working so hard for it."
Hamin nods at that, eyes glued on the other hand, while Bamby is staring at him. A brief silence before Hamin speaks again.
"Hyung, can I have your hand for a moment?"
Bamby blinks twice in confusion at the sudden request but gives it anyway. He places his hand on Hamin's palm. Now what?
Hamin takes his hand and compares the size of the two. Now palms pressed against one another. He giggles quietly.
"Hyung's hand is so small."
"Yours is just too big."
"No. Every part of hyung is so small. So cute."
"Excuse me? Not all parts. Duh. I'm big at some parts."
"Like what? Which part?"
"Why do you want to know? Are you a pervert?"
Hamin's jaw drops in disbelief. He didn't even think of anything pervert though, but now that Bamby has mentioned it, he understands which part the elder meant by that.
"Hyung!!" He laughs and facepalms. Bamby gets offended over trivial things. Hyung is so cute.
.
Day 012
3 a.m.,
Bamby wakes up to the alarm for the first time and turns it off for Hamin. "Silly. You set an alarm just because of me?" He mutters quietly, looking at the younger who's still sleeping soundly beside him.
He smiles, eyelids still heavy. "Thank you for doing so much for me." A thumb gently caresses the younger's cheek. He's slightly taken aback and immediately pulls his hand when Hamin makes a random whine in his sleep. Thank goodness, he doesn't wake up.
"Alright, alright. I won't bother you, now sleep." He whispers and snickers before turning around, now facing the wall. As he's about to sleep again, Hamin unconsciously hugs him from behind and pulls him closer.
Eyes closed, heart skips a beat, and a soft smile forms on his small face, he's drifting back into the dreamland.
.
Day 013
3 a.m.,
Bamby wakes up to the alarm again but this time, Hamin isn't there beside him. The bed is half empty. He rubs his eyes and looks around only to see no one. Even the bathroom is empty. Then, he walks out from the room to see the lights on in reading room.
Seriously?
Then, he opens the door and sees the other male, practicing their choreo.
"Hamin, why aren't you sleeping yet? It's so late!" Bamby sounds disbelief. It's freaking three in the morning.
Hamin startles at the voice and turns around. "Hyung." He takes off the earphone he's wearing.
"Why are you here?" Bamby leans his back against a table there. "You should sleep. That practice can wait."
"I cannot... sleep."
Bamby knows something about Hamin. This person will dance at unnecessary time and keep dancing and dancing when his mind is full of thoughts. Like when he gets overthinking or restless, he'll dance to ease his mind. This is one of the things that Bamby learns about the younger though.
So, what is the matter now?
"What's bothering your mind?"
"Uh?" Hamin is taken aback, wondering if he's so easy to read.
"You can tell me."
"Uh- no, there is nothi--"
"Hamin, you don't lie because you hate lies." Bamby just has to remind him.
Only then, Hamin gives in and starts telling. "But please don't get angry or hate me after this. I beg."
"I won't! I'll get angry if you don't tell me."
"Okay. Actually, I'm confused."
"About what?"
"About me. About us."
Bamby blinks confusedly. What about us? But he remains quiet and encourages Hamin to continue.
"These past nights we sleep together, I- I've became weird like... like I get nervous, heartbeat races up, sometimes sweating, and.. and I think you're right. Maybe I- maybe I'm a pervert because I keep wanting to.. to touch you-- b- but not at inappropriate places! Listen first! It's just your face o-or your hand... just like that."
Bamby's lips slightly apart as he hears it. So, they experience a similar thing. Not the same, only similar. As for Bamby, he feels all giddy and shy, heart skipping a beat, excited and wanting more but too shy.
How do we define this then?
"I'm sorry, hyung. Please don't be angry." Hamin mumbles sadly when he receives no reply from the older male. Angry Bamby is scarier than ghost for him. He hesitantly brings up his gaze from the floor only when he hears the footsteps getting closer.
The next second, Bamby is there standing right in front of him.
"I kinda think this is mutual." The pink headed finally opens his mouth again after a long silence.
Mutual? Hamin innerly asks himself in confusion.
"Wanna figure things out?" The shorter one gives an idea. "Let's kiss once and you tell me what you think about it."
K-Kiss???!!? Hamin's eyes slightly widen as he wasn't expecting that.
"It's okay if you don't wan--"
"L- Let's try it!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, if it's with hyung,... I'm okay."
"Then.." Bamby tells Hamin to shut his eyes if he's scared. He brings his hands up and carefully hold the younger's face. Tip toeing, he slowly decreases the distance between their faces. Eyes glued on the dashing face in front of him while Hamin has his eyes closed. He must be scared. I'll do this as gentle as possible.
Hamin flinches slightly as their lips pressed softly together. He can smell cherry, must be the toothpaste or the shampoo. Everything is cherry flavored for this one hyung. Hamin takes the courage and holds the other slim waist, pulling him closer.
Sensing no rejection, Bamby tilts his head and presses his lips deeper, breathing the wood scent. Hamin doesn't really use perfume but he always smells manly. Things slowly get hotter as Bamby lets out a soft moan when Hamin takes his bottom lip in between his teeth, lightly nibbles on it and sucking the soft lip slowly.
Someone is getting so carried away.
Bamby wraps his arm around Hamin's neck now as they're so into the kiss. Another moan from him, his face feels so hot as he's feeling so embarrassed. He keeps letting out such weird sound against his own will.
After awhile, they finally break the long kiss and pull back. Both of them especially Bamby is panting heavily, lips red and swollen with the teary eyes. Hamin blushes at the sight, his artwork.
The older one snickers, hands on the taller shoulders now. "You..." He's catching his breath in between. His head feels slightly dizzy. "...how are you... so good in kissing." Hamin's face is as red as his. "How many times... had you kissed before? Because you... you seem so experienced."
"O-Only few times." Right. Hamin used to be in a relationship before but it didn't even last for a year because the girl cheated on him. That was many years ago when he was in junior high school anyway. "My ex-girlfriend..."
Shit.
Bamby can't deny the jealousy he's feeling right now. The thought of Hamin kissing someone else like this.
I'm sorry.
Then, he goes for it again. The second kiss. This time he leads, hungrier and full of jealousy at first but slowly it turns passionate and full of... love. That's right. Maybe this is how we describe this weird feeling.
Hamin lets the older takes the lead for this second kiss, wet and sloppy, tongues and teeth. He carries him up without breaking the kiss, leaving the reading room and going back to his bedroom so they can continue the rest of the ministration there.
.
.
Bamby wakes up to the sun ray that creeps into the room through the crack in between the curtains. It hits his face. "Ngh." What time is it? He cracks an eye open and checks his phone. 10 a.m.. It's the first time in these two weeks that they wake up this late. He recalls what had happened last night, or to be exact, very early this morning. Right. Confessions happened, kisses, hugs, and so much more. He gulps as the memory slips into his head, cheeks blush again.
Then, he brings his gaze up to the sleeping guy beside him. The latter is still sleeping soundly, snoring lightly and Bamby just had to tease him. He slowly moves his finger against the face, from his forehead to his closed eyelids to the sharp nose down to his soft lips and circling the cheeks before lightly brushing the eyelashes. He snickers when Hamin twitches and reacts to his action.
"Someone is having the time of his life." The deep hoarse voice sends shiver down Bamby's spine somehow. The younger peeks through his half opened eyes.
Bamby chuckles lowly, "Someone doesn't seem to wake up. I'm bored."
The dark haired guy smiles, eyes closed again as he sleepily pulls the older closer to him for an embrace. "Let's sleep a bit more."
"2 minutes."
"5 minutes."
"3 minutes."
"10 minutes."
Bamby scoffs endearingly, "You sleepyhead." Then, they sleep for another half an hour.
Later after taking a bath, changing the bedsheet and having breakfast, they started practicing for the choreo the whole day, dancing and getting familiar with the new dances. Tomorrow morning, they already have to reunite with the other three members, the producer line at Vlast building for another meeting with William and presenting the results of their work in these two weeks. So, they gotta practice extra hard today.

Day 014
3 a.m.,
Hamin turns off the alarm. Maybe he can stop setting this alarm as Bamby doesn't sleepwalk anymore, hopefully it can last for a long period though.
He pulls the blanket over the smaller male and leaves a peck on his forehead. The pink headed whimpers lowly and stirs in his sleep, buries his face into the other crook of neck. A lot has changed in these two weeks; the dance choreo progress, the sleeping disorder, the bond between them. Everything has changed for the better.
.
.
After having breakfast, they get ready to leave the house and go to the company. One hour before their meeting with everyone.
"Thank you for the two weeks stay." Bamby bows to no one, imagining Hamin's parents are there to send them off.
"Are you sure you don't wanna stay for few more days?" The younger pouts slightly, the fastest two weeks in his life if he's being honest. Bamby just laughs it off and promises to pay a visit sometimes especially when he's already getting along pretty well with Mr. and Mrs. Yu. Maybe he can bring some foods or gift for them the next time he comes over.
Hamin helps carrying the luggage while Bamby carries his backpack. They'll be going to Vlast building by the older's car, he lets Hamin drive it.
Bamby is about to step out of the door when Hamin stops him by his elbow.
"Hyung."
The pink headed turns around again, looks up at the taller one in simple black shirt.
"We haven't make things clear yet. So, now.. what are we?"
What are we? What? Isn't it obvious?
"We are a thing now. But let's keep this secret between us for now."
In other words, they are boyfriends. But they've agreed to keep it secret until the right time, considering the comeback is coming soon and so many upcoming schedules. They don't want this to give harm nor negatively affect everyone else.
Hamin smiles with a nod, "Okay."
They lean in for a kiss before leaving the house together.
