Kaveh found three books that he knew Alhaitham would like that weren’t in his collection as well as one romance novel from Inazuma for himself. He ran into an old client who talked about his life.
“So buying books for your lover?” The client said. Kaveh looked at the books.
“Oh no these are for… my boyfriend. He was asking for some new books and our anniversary is just around the corner,” Kaveh lied.
“Well good luck with that,” he said leaving Kaveh. Kaveh rushed home and dropped the books on the table near Alhaitham.
“Happy anniversary,” Kaveh said. Alhaitham looked at him confused.
“You haven’t asked me out yet,” Alhaitham said.
“It was supposed to be a joke,” Kaveh said. “Also, why would I need to ask you out?”
“Because you are normally the last to know everything according to yourself so I figured I let you ask me out,” Alhaitham said.
“Will you date me then?” Kaveh asked.
“Only because you asked,” Alhaitham said, returning to his book at Kaveh grumbled about how insensitive Alhaitham was. Alhaitham just ignored him as he continued reading, but inside he was smiling at finally getting Kaveh to ask him out.
