It was Sunday. 6th of August. Today was Friendship Day. Ade and Jake really liked celebrating it together. They were besties after all. This time they were in South Korea as they were traveling around the world together and were having a lot of fun. They had already been to New York, Agra, Jaipur, Dubai, Paris, London and Japan. The only place which was left now was Muscat, Oman. The place where Ade grew up. That was their next city and Ade couldn't wait to show Jake the whole city and tell her about it. She really missed her home.
It was Ade's second time here in South Korea.
Ade got ready and left her hotel room humming happily. She was carrying a gift for her bestie and was ready to surprise him. They had decided to go to a Stray Kids Themed Café which was not so far away from their hotel.
"Good Morning Bestie", Jake greeted her as they met in the lobby. She smiled.
"Good Morning to you as well. Ready for today?"
He nodded. Then, together they went to the Café and chatted for a while. Later, they went to explore the city and did some shopping.
They were in a mall where kpop songs were being played. A while later, Ade saw Jake vibing to a song. She listened to it and started vibing to it as well. It was Stray Kids song, Maniac. Their favorite. Both of them were Stays and loved this song a lot.
People in the mall stared at them but they didn't care. Once the song was over, they laughed and high five each other and then left the mall.
"I guess I'll have to pay for overloading my suitcase with my shopping stuff. It's not that much anyways.", Ade said.
Jake laughed.
"Not much? You literally bought BTS and Stray Kids merch, stickers and keyring from everywhere we went from our first day here till now. And, you're calling it not much?"
"You know how big of a stay I'm. Aren't you a Stay as well? You're the one who made me a Stay in the first place and I'm so happy about it."
"Yeah I know. Me too. I'm glad you're a Stay like me. My SKZ stuff isn't much as well, you know?"
Ade stared at his hands which were holding a lot of bags filled with skz stuff and then she looked at him again. He laughed.
"Fine. I guess. I've a lot more than I think."
Ade smiled.
They started to walk again but Jake said,
"Happy Friendship Day, Bestie."
She turned around and saw him giving her a gift. She took it and opened it and gasped.
It was a limited edition Jimin shirt which was sold out within hours a few weeks ago. Ade wanted to get the shirt but she couldn't and felt really bad.
"Thank you Bestie!! Happy Friendship Day to you as well and thank you so much for this."
Jake smiled.
"I'm glad you love it."
Then, they went back to hotel and check out with their stuff as they were traveling to Muscat tonight.
Soon, they were at the airport waiting for their flight. Ade kept something on Jake's lap as he was busy on his phone. He looked at the gift and then at her.
"Happy Friendship Day.", she said with a smile.
Curious Jake opened the gift and was speech less. He covered his mouth with his hand in shock. He was holding a page which read,
"To my biggest fan Jake, this is Felix from skz. Thank you for supporting me. I really appreciate your support and it means a lot to me. Just know you're awesome and cool as hell and nothing is ever gonna stop you. Never underestimate yourself and keep being you. With love, Felix."
There was even his signature. Jake hugged Ade tightly.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
A few months ago, Ade visited South Korea to attend a meet and greet with Skz and from there she got Felix's note for her bestie, Jake. It was the perfect Friendship Day gift she could give him as she knew how much he loved Felix.
"You don't have to thank me. It's nothing."
"It is. It means a lot to me. Thank you so much. "
She nodded and their flight announcement started.
They boarded their flight as they talked and soon they flew away from South Korea. The place where they wanted to visit for a while. And, the place where they gave each other the perfect friendship day gift ever.
