This is a writing exercise. I've consumed different Batman stories over the decades from different media, dipped in and out of the comics, so I thought I would give writing my own version of the Batman mythos a shot. I don't want to do something radically different, I just want to try to make a coherent Batman world, and maybe if I write it all on AO3 and something like a serial format I'll be more motivated to keep at it instead of giving up 2% in. It's also been a long time since I've written anything and I'm almost certainly rusty. I'm not trying to make a coherent story, I'm just writing down ideas I have, and I'm not sure how many of these ideas are entirely original or taken from other Batman media or maybe reworked from other Batman media.

In the aftermath of the war against the RDA and the ash people, no one is okay. Jake's wound isn't healing. Lo'ak and Spider are missing. Tuk is quiet. Neytiri is bitter. Kiri is worried. Jake doesn't know how to fix things with his family. He's a Marine; he understands action, not the heart. But it's not enough this time.
After his self-inflicted fall into the void, Quaritch is still alive...and he's hiding out from the RDA. He needs a plan to get back into the good graces of the General (if she's alive). Bringing Sully to the base, scalped and dead, seems like a good place to start.
But neither of them are prepared for what happens when they're alone together.
