3 simple words, just anyone can say it, but it is oh so hard to say when you are uncertain, it might ruin what you already have, or give you a lifetime of happiness. It is worth it to say these words when the lifetime of happiness is better than the relationship now. But that uncertainty will mean some without courage will never get that happiness. I have danced around the bush for long enough, of course i mean the phrase
"I love you" Akarsha blurted out
Noelle looked surprised more than anything. A light blush maybe. Both of them are now just awkwardly exchanging eye contact on and off for what felt like an eternity
Akarsha was the first to fold, thoughts racing through her mind on how she could salvage the friendship. She was ready to chicken out with some wild excuses.
"I'm sorry, i wasn't thinking it through and uh-"
"I love you too" And those are the best 4 words you can possibly hear, these 4 words are what seperate that lifetime of happiness from a ruined friendship.
Noelle said, now looking at Akarsha, not awkwardly, but with glisten and confidence in her eyes.
Akarsha looked surprised, then smiled, then cried.
"Akarsha?!? Whats wrong, did i do something wrong or-"
"Haha, Frenchman, for the smartest person I know, you can't tell these are tears joy?"
"Jeez, rude" Noelle gave a chuckle.
"I just.... This feels unreal, I have been wanting this to happen, for like, so long. And for it to happen, i just- I can't find the words to describe how surreal this is."
Noelle gave Akarsha a soft smile
"I guess you had to be the one to say it, I don't think any amount of courage I could possibly ever gather in a lifetime would be enough for me to say it"
"But now that we have said it once, we can now have a road of saying it 1000 more times, now the second, I love you!"
"Being this sappy's probably isn't good for your health"
Akarsha gives a sad look
"Guh, ....... I love you too...."
"Yaaaaay"
"You are such a child"
"Only the cutesttttt"
Noelle can't help herself from smiling. Jeez I'm gonna be stuck with this idiot for a while.
Life is gonna be awesome.
