    „Are you ok?“, he asked promptly and she nodded a few times more than what would have been necessary.
    „Yeah. Sure. I’m totally ok. I’m great! Not even nervous or anything.“
    His look spoke volumes of how much he didn’t believe her and she cursed herself for that she even tried to lie to him. He stroked her shoulder and she was under the impression that she relaxed a little just under the warmth of his hand. She knew his touch was the equivalent of what he didn’t dare to say. What none of them dared to say anyway.
    „You know…“, he said instead, „It would be totally fine if you said no."
