Chapter Text
That afternoon, Khana and Bakugo went to the UA gift shop to get a present for Kylo. This was the first time they had been to the campus together. Khana wore a light pink t-shirt dress with matching Converse while Bakugo wore a crisp white t-shirt with light wash tapered dad jeans and all black Adidas sneakers. They walked up to the entrance and saw the infamous All Might statue. Khana stopped to get a picture in front of it.
“Oh my gosh! Babe, get a picture of me in front of the statue!” she yelled.
He took a bunch of photos of her posing in front of the statue. She did a series of poses, some with her hand on her hip and some with her jumping in the air.
“These are so cute!”
“You’re so cute!” he said while holding her hand as they continued walking in.
“Aw!Babe!” said Khana while smiling.
When they got into the gift shop, they saw a huge display of merchandise and photos of well known alumni like All Might and Endeavor all over the walls. The racks were filled with t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and of course a whole section dedicated to All Might. Khana was looking at the section that was for the incoming class. She found a sweatshirt that said UA Class of 2031 that was white with the letters in a bold red color. She went to get Bakugo’s opinion on it.
“Babe, what do you think of this sweatshirt? Do you think Kylo will like it?”
…
“Babe?”
…
“Babe?! Hello! Earth to Katsuki!”
“HUH?!” he said after jumping.
Khana looked at him, still holding the sweatshirt on the hanger. Her smile turned into a worried look.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you.”
*sigh* “It’s fine. I’m just a little tired.”
“Are you sure that’s all?”
He nodded his head, still shaken up and looking like he saw a ghost.
“Ok.” said Khana suspiciously.
She went to the register to check out, but she was still worried.
Why is he acting so weird? It’s not like him to jump like that.
After Khana checked out and paid for the sweatshirt, they walked back to his car that was out front. Khana held his hand with her right hand and held the white and blue shopping bag with her right hand. She saw that he still looked tired and on edge. So, she squeezed his hand to get his attention. He looked down at her and she smiled and leaned on his shoulder.
Her smile didn’t take away all the pain, but he did let out a sigh of relief and smiled.
