I See London in Your Eyes

Summary:

Everything was going along as planned until the plane began to take a dive into the river Thames and delay the competiton.

Noah is more than annoyed but, Alejandro sees it as an oppurtunity to finally figure out a way to eliminate Noah for good.

Only things don't go as planned but, when do they ever? Alejandro can adapt- if only the annoying feelings would go away.

Notes:

For the sake of my sanity imagine the London challenge took place in the morning for this version of events.

With that please enjoy this lengthy two shot!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: I See London in Your Eyes

Chapter Text

The plane hummed steadily as it flew over the Atlantic Ocean. It was the calmest the flight had been in a long time- which wasn’t a high bar.

Noah sat, arms crossed in economy class watching chaos unfold. Gwen’s hand was stuck in a bucket of bird poop, Sierra was freaking out over something and, Owen was wolfing down Jamaican peppers with a carton of milk in his free hand. It was surprising how this was normal for all of them.

As Sierra continued to ramble Noah felt his eye twitch. Her voice was like nails in a chalkboard- at least the others were minding their own business..

“Considering buying a life on Craigslist..” Noah began to mock making exaggerated facial expressions which caused Owen to giggle.

“Hard to decide because all of them are such a major improvement.” He said typing in the air with his hands as Sierra glared at him.

Noah gave her a smirk in return before Owens laughter sent milk flying out of his nose and directly onto him.

“Come on dude..” Noah sighed instantly regretting interacting with anyone.

“Excuse me gentlemen I have to be anywhere but here..” Alejandro said standing up and walking away briskly. Noah noted the way his eyes lingered on him. What was his deal?

Noah brushed it off and went back to sitting in silence- this time with milk dripping down his forehead.

It wouldn’t be long now Noah could glance out the window and see land below them instead of the usual vast expanses of water. A half an hour and he would be off the plane and actually doing something instead of sitting in economy class listening to Sierra rambling and Heather and Courtney bickering.

“Hey little buddy do you want my last pepper I saved it for you?” Owen asked shoving the vegetable in his face.

“Uh..I’ll pass..” Noah said, eyes watering as he got a whiff of its flavor.

“Okay more for me!” Owen said happily, inhaling it before drowning the rest of his milk to balance out the taste.

Noah wondered momentarily why he was eating those willingly. His thought was cut short as the plane suddenly lurched downward, careening towards the ground at a speed far faster than normal.

“Attention passengers due to technical difficulties we will be making an emergency landing in the river Thames please hold on to something I can’t risk anymore lawsuits!” Chris said cheerfully over the intercoms as everyone began to scream.

“Ahh we’re going to die hold me Cody!” Sierra yelled grabbing onto him tightly as she began to float in the air.

“Get the bucket quick!” Gwen yelled as she and Courtney both held onto it tightly.

“Get that disgusting thing away from me!” Heather yelled scrambling back against the wall as her ponytail floated.

Owen began hyperventilating next to Noah.

“We’re- we’re falling haha..” he said looking one second away from passing out. He glanced over at Noah before gripping onto him and screaming.

“Not again..” Noah grumbled, feeling his stomach drop. Leave it to Chris to land in style.

Noah squeezed his eyes shut and braced himself for impact.

The sound of water splashing could suddenly be heard. That was when everyone crashed to the floor.

The plane moved back and forth haphazardly as Noah groaned. His body hurt, mainly because he was crushed under Owen. Surprisingly they had survived the water landing- in the river Thames none the less. It looked like the next challenge would take place in London.

“Dude get off of me!” Noah yelled although his voice was muffled. After what felt like an eternity Owen rolled off of him and stood up.

“I’m sorry little buddy I sort of freaked out.” Owen said looking apologetic.

“Next time don’t crush me okay..” Noah said feeling dizzy as the plane continued to rock.

“I told you to keep that stuff away from me!” Heather snapped supporting a new look with bird poop covering her head.

“It was an accident blame Chris how were we suppose to know the plane would crash?” Courtney protested with a hand on her hip.

Apart from Heathers emotional distress everyone else seemed to be okay-well one person was missing but, Noah wouldn’t have minded if he was incapacitated for a little while.

Owen must have had a similar thought as he suddenly gasped.

“Hey guys where’s Al he left before the plane crashed!!” Owen explained looking panicked.

“I’m sure he’s fine.” Heather huffed unsurprisingly. Noah shared the same sentiments.

“Well maybe one of us should go look for him just in case..” Gwen suggested, steadying herself to adapt to the planes new angle.

“Me and Noah will go!” Owen said raising his hand before Noah could explain the many reasons that was a bad idea.

“Alright you two go look for Alejandro the rest of us will go find Chris and see if we can get an explanation!”Courtney ordered.

“Sierra can you please let go the planes landed already..” Cody mumbled as his face was shoved up against her.

“Five more minutes..” She said squeezing him tightly.

“Let’s go.” Noah said keeping his face blank. There was no point in protesting it seemed things were already decided. Besides, the faster they found Alejandro the faster he could be alone again.

“Where do you think he went ..did he look upset to you?” Owen asked, venting to Noah as they walked through the plane, stepping over loose debris that covered the hallways.

“I don’t know..” Noah said not interested in engaging in conversation. The fastest way to find Alejandro would be to start at the front of the plane and work backwards. It wasn’t like it was big and he doubted the guy would have gone far before Chris’ announcement.

Just as they were about to turn a corner which led to first class Noah heard the sound of banging. It was faint but, he managed to hone in the source of the sound to a small closet that Noah hadn’t even noticed existed.

Noah tried the handle before it gave way and out fell a man with a bag over his head and his arms tied behind his back.

Alejandro.

It was made abundantly clear by his attire and the necklace he always wore around his neck.

“Found him.” Noah said looking unimpressed as he struggled to stand up with his hands tied.

“Oh Al we were looking for you what are you doing in there?” Owen asked.

“I think he needs help.” Noah said stating the obvious as he ripped the bag off of Alejandro’s head and undid the knot that bound his hands.

“Por fin..” Alejandro muttered rubbing his wrists before smiling once again.

“Thank you for finding me…” he said.

“I gotta say I wouldn’t have chosen a closet to hide in during a plane crash..” Noah commented with a small smirk on his face.

“I didn’t choose to be there… someone grabbed me and shoved me in there.” He said acting irate

“That someone was..?” Noah asked raising an eyebrow.

“I don’t know I overheard Chris discussing a new challenge before someone snuck up behind me and knocked me out.” He explained.

“Why did I assume that Chris couldn’t get anymore psychotic..” Noah muttered.

“Well I doubt the challenge is happening now thanks to this fiery bird of death.” Noah said banging the metal wall of the plane. The force caused the entire plane to shift.

“Eep-“ Owen said one second away from freaking out all over again.

“Uh..sorry...” He said ignoring his racing heart as he moved to shut the closet door behind Alejandro.

“Anyways let’s go find Chris, the others are already looking for him.” Noah said.

“Wait, can you tell me what happened?” Alejandro asked, pressing for information.

Thankfully a crackle rang throughout the intercom sparing Noah from having to explain anything.

“Attention all passengers still alive please make your way to the dinning hall for an announcement..” the audio paused for a moment.

“Ugh do I have to say that? Fine whatever..”

“Ahem I was told to inform you to be careful as the plane has not been fully assessed for damage now hurry up! Last one there may get eliminated!” Chris announced.

“Great..” Noah said eyeing Alejandro who suddenly grew rigid.

“Follow me I will lead us there!” Alejandro said with a smile before beginning to cross the cluttered hallway that lead to the dinning area.

Noah shrugged apathetically and followed after him.

“Come on dude.” Noah said turning his head to see Owen trying to sneak into first class.

“I just wanted to see if they had any of those chocolates left..they calm my nerves.” He said defensively.

Noah sighed. It was partially his fault that Owen was so freaked out he hadn’t realized the plane was so touchy.

“I bet they’ll be food in the dinning area which is why we should get there preferably before the others I’m not going home because of this surprise challenge.” Noah comforted only partially.

“Vamos.” Alejandro said growing exasperated.

Noah wanted to say that Alejandro probably couldn’t care less if they came or not but, he held his tongue. There was no point in stirring up trouble it would just draw attention to him which would get him eliminated. So, he began to pick up the pace to appease Alejandro’s annoyed glances.

The plane really was a mess as a simple hallway had become an obstacle course. The usual décor was thrown to the floor and water was leaking through various small holes where screws should have been. Noah was surprised the plane hadn’t crashed sooner in its condition.

“Get me out of here.” Owen said as the plane began to tilt upwards. The motion caused more water to flood the hallway.

“No not the socks!” Owen said jumping up on a table that quivered under his weight.

“We’re almost there come on.” Noah said tip-toeing over the large water puddle at his feet to keep up with Alejandro.

Noah was grateful for his hiking boots at the moment.

“Right this way my friends..” Alejandro called out.

Noah began to pick up the pace to ensure Alejandro didn’t beat them there. From the hallway he could hear chattering that clued him into the fact that it was to late.

How was this challenge in any way fair? Everyone else had banded together and him and Owen were stuck rescuing the guy who may or may not have had a hand in team Victory’s disappearance. It wasn’t like he was surprised at his luck even when he walked into the dinning hall to see the rest of the competitors.

“Ah the rest of team Chris is really really really really hot thank you for joining us..don’t worry even if you were last it wasn’t a challenge I just didn’t want to wait.” Chris said with a grin that only made Noah more annoyed.

“Now as I was saying.” Chris began as they all took a seat.

“Due to the planes unfortunate malfunction we will be unable to leave London for a little while..” he explained.

“Even more unfortunate is the fact that during the crash the plane may have leaked some gasoline into the river..”Chris said laughing to clear the air.

“How could you? Do you know the environmental impact that has on the various organisms that-”

“Another word and you will be eliminated..” Chris threatened in a sing-songy tone which quickly caused Courtney to calm down. Clearly he was still annoyed at her intrusion last season.

“Now because of this we are going to be in a tight spot with the British government..so we are going to have to evacuate the plane while everything gets cleaned up..”

“So when is the challenge?” Heather asked with her arms crossed.

“I’m glad you asked since I’m officially unavailable while playing damage control I am giving you all one free day to explore the city..this is a one time only offer after this no more stopping to sight see this is a competition after all!” Chris said looking less than happy to deliver the news.

The rest of the competitors began to cheer.

“Now grab a life jacket and an inflatable raft and get rowing Chef already swam to shore and will be supervising you. Oh and, no telling anyone what’s been happening up here m’kay.” Chris said with a threatening smile.

“And what if we do?” Heather asked testing the water.

“That is a question for Courtney.” Chris said pointing at her with both hands.

“It’s in our contracts we aren’t allowed to discuss the show until the episode airs.”
Courtney recited glaring at Chris.

“Typical.” Heather grumbled.

“What about money?” Gwen chimed in.

“Well at the moment we don’t have any to spare so you’ll have to figure it out.” Chris said.

“Now go on go see the world..London anyways…everything should be resolved by tomorrow.”

“I doubt that.” Noah muttered under his breath as they all stood up and began walking down to the cargo hold.

“Hey Al do you want to ride in a raft with me and Noah?” Owen asked much to Noah’s displeasure. Why did he insist on getting on Al’s good side?

“I would love nothing more my friend..” Alejandro responded with a strained smile.

“You don’t have to look so happy about it.” Noah said sarcastically- apparently louder than he intended.

“Ah it’s quite the opposite my friend I am overjoyed at this opportunity to see the sights..” He said.

“Are you sure.. I mean no one’s getting eliminated for a little while so now it will just be even more wasted time before someone inevitable takes the plunge.” Noah said cynically.Sure sightseeing was fun but, this was a competition and the more time spent here the more time it would take to select an eventual winner.

Alejandro’s smile dimmed for a moment before he spoke. “Ah that’s were you’re wrong a longer competition means more time to bond with our teammates.” Alejandro said although it just sounded like he was lying- at least to Noah.

“If we are all trying to bond then aren’t you forgetting someone?”Noah deadpanned.

“Who…?” He began before glancing over at their missing teammate who was looking around confused.

“Oh…Tyler would you like to ride with us?” Alejandro called out making a show of being extra nice just to spite Noah.

“Uh sure dude..” Tyler said looking happy to have some sort of direction. As he was walking over to the group Owen snatched a raft from its hook in the cargo hold and began blowing air into it like one big ballon.

“I almost…*huff*…got it..*wheeze*” he said blowing air into it rapidly as the large yellow device slowly inflated.

“Hey there’s a pump right here..” Noah said as Owen continued struggling.

“No I can do this I just need one more minute..” he said gasping.

“My friend you are going to hurt yourself allow me.” Alejandro said snatching the pump from Noah and attaching it to the raft as Owen took a breath.

“Oh thanks Al ..” he said chuckling.

Noah wanted to facepalm.

This was just Alejandro trying to get on his nerves that was all he wasn’t going to play ball if that’s what he wanted. That would only end in him getting eliminated.

“Everyone hop on!” Alejandro said as he plugged the hole in the raft and tossed it into the water.

Noah slipped on a life jacket and hopped onto the boat along with everyone else. He was thankful that the trip across wouldn’t be long as he could already see the pollution Chris was talking about stain the raft a nasty shade of brown.

“Noah, Tyler you two row I will pilot.” Alejandro commanded.

“What about me?” Owen asked squeezing himself on the boats end.

“You can sit and enjoy the ride my friend.” Alejandro said turning towards the river and holding his head high.

Noah was about to protest the arrangement when Tyler began rowing. Noah let out a breath and began paddling as well. Why exactly was he listening to him again this wasn’t a challenge.

Slowly, they made their way across the stained water towards the shoreline which was lined with cobblestone walls and white fences that ran above them. He had to admit London was certainly a different atmosphere compared to the Canadian wilderness they had lived in during the first season of the show.

“Hey you maggots get over here!” Chef yelled from the shore. He was soaking wet but, Noah recognized his army attire for better or worse.

“I think maybe we should listen to him dude..” Tyler said which caused everyone to nod in agreement.

Noah and Tyler paddled harder until they arrived at shore -both breathing heavy from the effort. Noah’s eyes narrowed as Alejandro dismounted from the boat casually. Why was he all of a sudden ticking him off it was like everything he did was simply to spite him.

No longer would he entertain this. Noah dropped the oar and carefully got off the boat. So much for sightseeing he really just wanted to find a place to escape his team- Alejandro anyways.

“Good you four are the first to arrive step into line!” Chef commanded.

“I think you already did the boot camp thing last season.” Noah said observing his outfit more in detail. Despite being eliminated early he had caught up on the rest of the show out of a morbid curiosity for what he had missed out on. A part of him had been glad that he went when he did as the challenges only got worse from there.

“Huh I think I heard a little fly buzzing in my ear..” Chef snapped getting into Noah’s personal space.

“Can we go..I thought you were the babysitter not our mom..” Noah said with a blank look.

“Why you little-“ Chef began looking a second away from punching a wall in substitute of his face.

“I think what my friend meant to ask is what will you have us do now that we have arrived on shore?” Alejandro asked swooping in and attempting to spare any further confrontation.

Chef grumbled some unairable words before turning back towards Noah.

“You’re lucky I like your friend here.” He spit out.

“Alright soldiers get a move on go sightsee but, stay in the area and report back here at 17:00 hours.” Chef said glaring up at the sun through his pitch black sunglasses.

“Any later and we are going to have a problem.” He threatened.

“17?? I didn’t even know that was a time..” Tyler said scratching his head.

“5pm.”Noah said glaring at Alejandro. There was no way he had deescalated the conflict out of the goodness of his heart. He was trying to bolster his image.

“Oh..” Tyler said after thinking about what Noah had said for a moment.

“One more thing.. don’t cause trouble I have my eyes on you.” Chef threatened turning back to the water as the other team arrived on shore.

Noah rolled his eyes at Chefs threat although he had to admit that angering him wasn’t the brightest idea.

“What do you guys want to do first?” Owen asked excitedly as they all walked up the steps that led to a busy street.

“I don’t know dude maybe I should get a souvenir for Lindsey..” Tyler said scratching his head.

“I suggest we scout out the area first my friends.” Alejandro explained.

Noah didn’t have a chance to respond as one quick glance over at his team and he had merged with a crowd of passerbyers. Sure his team could be helpful but, that didn’t mean he had to spend every waking second with them.

He wasn’t sure exactly where he was going but, he needed to find somewhere quiet for a little bit. While he had seen pictures of London actually being there was a different story, the sights and sounds were overwhelming. Everywhere he looked there was something, like the giant Ferris wheel that loomed above him spanning multiple blocks or, the towering buildings that covered every square inch of free space.

Noah slowed to a stop and ducked into an alley way to catch his breath. It wasn’t like they would even notice he was gone but,it was better safe than sorry. Besides he needed to regroup and find some sort of map, the various streets where confusing.

His eyes quickly roamed over his surroundings before he noticed something on the ground next to him. It was slightly squished but, other wise untouched- a map of the area that looked like it could be found in some theme park.

Noah sighed and bent down to pick up the piece of paper. It would do the job.

——————————————

Alejandro was more than a little irritated about the planes crash landing. One little technical error and a whole day was wasted running around and sight seeing. It wasn’t the time for something like that he was here to win the money. Then he could sight see as much as he liked.

“These are so good..” Owen said munching on some fish n’chips he had snagged from a cart.

“So what do you guys wanna do now?” Tyler asked holding a key chain with a heart on the end of it.

It had only been an hour and already Alejandro wanted to go back to the plane. Of course the only person he vaguely enjoyed holding a conversation with had ditched him to go off on his own. One second they were all walking up the steps and the next Noah had vanished. Maybe he had the right idea.

“Hey Al do you know where Noah is I could have sworn I just saw him.” Owen asked shoving the rest of the fish n’chips into his mouth.

“I am unsure but, I think he went off exploring on his own.” Alejandro said through gritted teeth. He needed to go clear his head away from them.

“Why don’t I go find him..in the mean time you two go sample some more food.”Alejandro suggested.

“That’s a great idea he totally needs to try these fries they are heavenly -“ Owen said as Alejandro strolled away.

Finally was all he could think as he made his way through the crowd towards a map stand.

Unfortunately with the silence in his mind he found himself feeling worried. Worried at where Noah had gone off to. He had to admit it was rather irresponsible of him to let him escape the group. What if he was off plotting with team Amazon. What if he had gotten hurt? Alejandro wondered vaguely why he even cared so much. Noah recognized his role in some of the eliminations even if he kept that info to himself- at least Alejandro had his suspicions. That made him dangerous. Not someone he should waste time caring about.

As he approached the map stand a green pamphlet caught his eye. It was advertising a museum close by filled with different types of flora. It was perfect, a way to see the sights and not be needlessly bothered every five minutes.

Alejandro snatched the paper off the rack and, let it guide him on his way.

The others would be fine out in the open the place they had landed had tourist trap written all over it. He had seen enough of them to know that it would keep them occupied for a while.

As Alejandro walked the cobbled streets he found himself thinking of how exactly he could thin out the competitors. The game had become too nice, there was no drama- at least nothing he could exploit. How could he play the game if he wasn’t given any pieces.

That would make it even more difficult to eliminate Noah, he never caused trouble for anyone and was usually useful in challenges. What would convince the team to vote him off. Outside of sabotage he had nothing. The issue was growing annoying. The longer Noah stayed the greater the risk that he would finally voice his suspicions.

“Ay..” Alejandro sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose as he approached a grand building with columns that reminded him of Greek architecture.

“Hello sir welcome to the Garden Museum admission is free so feel free to look around at our various exhibits.” A host greeted once he climbed up the steps and entered the building.

“Ah…gracias.” Alejandro said with a smile before continuing onward. Maybe it was time for him to just relax. Nothing was happening and nothing would be happening until he met back up with his team.

Alejandro glanced around the room and noted the various plants displayed. They were all a sight to behold but, what Alejandro enjoyed most of all was the peace and quiet. No obnoxious jokes and no snot rockets.

“Excuse me sir..” a voice called from across the room. Alejandro glanced over at the sound only to find that it wasn’t directed towards him.

“Are you traveling with anyone today or are you by yourself?” A host asked talking to someone behind a square display case. Alejandro moved closer to the wall to get a look at who she was talking to.

“By myself on a…uh school trip no one else wanted to come here.”

It was Noah. Of course it was.

A smile slowly grew on Alejandro’s face. Maybe the day wouldn’t be useless after all. It wasn’t everyday he could have a private conversation with someone on a reality show. The person being Noah only made things better. Everybody had something to hide- a weakness. Why would Noah be any different? Talk with him long enough and he was bound to reveal something even to Alejandro.

It was perfect even if the dull feeling of guilt manifested in his gut.

“Okay well let me know if you have any questions.” The museum attendant said politely as Noah continued to stare at a painting of a Rose.

“Actually he’s not alone..” Alejandro said invading the conversation.

“What are you doing here?” Noah asked, confusion written all over his face. Clearly he hadn’t expected to be found.

“I grabbed a map and saw somewhere no one else would want to go.” Alejandro said.

Noah’s look of shock quickly turned to annoyance.

“That’s what I did..” he admitted crossing his arms.

“I’ll leave you two to look around..” The host said backing out of the conversation and, walking towards another pair of Museum goers.

“Well if you would like I can leave.” Alejandro offered trying to maintain a polite façade. Noah may have had suspicions of his true personality but, he wasn’t about to give him grounds for his claim . Besides he wanted Noah to like him. For information of course. It wasn’t that his heart was pounding faster than normal in his chest at the thought of having a full conversation with him. That didn’t happen to him. He didn’t get flustered.

“Yeah that would be great.” Noah said putting a hand on his hip and giving Alejandro a dead look.

“But..” Noah continued, staring at Alejandro.

“I doubt you’ll leave me alone no matter what I say so you might as well just stay..” he finished.

Alejandro smiled.

“Wait… if you’re here then where are Tyler and Owen?” Noah asked.

“Somewhere near the Ferris Wheel I left them to sample the local cuisine ..” Alejandro said waving his hand frivolously.

“Great.” Noah said realizing he had nothing left to protest his staying.

“Well care to see the sights?” Alejandro suggested to clear the air, raising his eyebrow at Noah.

“I guess..as long as you never make that face at me again.” Noah said trying to maintain a blank look even as Alejandro caught a glimpse of a smile grace his features.

Now that he looked at Noah he was rather cute when he smiled and, it wasn’t the first time he had thought so. It was simply an observation of his competition. Knowing everything about him meant it would be easier to eliminate him when the time came. Exploiting weakness was the only way to get ahead.

Bridgette and Harold had fallen for it. Leshawna too. It really was easy to play people like puppets as long as he knew what made them tick.

Learning what made Noah tick was next in his to-do list but, in order to do that he required focus. Noah was unfortunately very distracting. He had always been whether Alejandro liked it or not. A weakness that he couldn’t afford to reveal.

“Uh are you okay or do you need some alone time during your alone time.” Noah questioned.

“Apologies I simply zoned out for a moment what shall we see first.” Alejandro said with a relaxed smile.

He had to do this.

He couldn’t stop.

Not until he won the million.

That meant Noah had to go. There wasn’t a choice and, there was certainly no time to evaluate his feelings.

That didn’t stop Alejandro’s heart from speeding up as Noah brushed past him to look at a piece of art beside him.

This was going to be a long day

——————————————

Walking around a museum with Alejandro hadn’t exactly been on Noah’s bucket list for the day, yet he found himself enjoying it more than he should have even if Alejandro kept asking him random questions.

They never stopped, Noah figured he was planning something but, he couldn’t tell what. Had he somehow become a target? Noah wasn’t sure. He hadn’t made his suspicions of Alejandro known and, he didn’t plan on saying anything until the time was right. Maybe it was time to rethink that plan.

“That was interesting ..” Noah said as they both sat on a marble bench under an arch of vines.

“Yes but, I think we should head back before Chef comes looking..” Alejandro suggested glancing at a wall clock which read 16:15. His eyes wore a look of defeat- or maybe it was exhaustion.

“You’re afraid of Chef?” Noah asked in disbelief .

“ If you hadn’t stepped in earlier he would have sucker punched me..” Noah said.

“You did enrage him.”Alejandro reminded him.

“I was annoyed that the challenge would be postponed..” Noah admitted. He decided not to mention that Alejandro was the second reason.

“I understand …don’t tell the others but, I didn’t feel like sightseeing either..this is a competition not a vacation..” Alejandro said surprising Noah.

“I really hope the plane gets fixed by tonight so Chris will host the challenge.” Noah commented sharing his sentiments.

“As long as he doesn’t shove another sack on my head I would have to agree.” Alejandro said breaking out an attractive smile that Noah couldn’t look away from. It wasn’t his fault the guy was easy on the eyes.

“You use that smile on all the ladies?” Noah quipped, breaking the spell it had put him in.

“Of course who can resist..”Alejandro said. Not Bridgette or Leshawna apparently.

“You might have a bigger ego than Chris and he made golden statues of his face.” Noah said trying to push back the uncomfortable thoughts. The competition wouldn’t ruin his ability to have a light conversation. Lately he felt like the drama on the show was inescapable. It was exhausting.

“Well I have some catching up to do I’ll make sure you get the first one as a souvenir.” He remarked.

“Good then I’ll have something to burn if I run out of fire wood.” He said.

“I am positively glowing.” Alejandro joked causing Noah to roll his eyes.

“Yeah sure..” Noah said standing up.

For a moment he wanted to say something- address his suspicion that Alejandro had ulterior motives for talking with him- but, what good would it do. Alejandro held power over others and Noah wasn’t immune to that. He had enjoyed talking to someone who didn’t act like a walking talking stereotype. In fact he was almost falling for him, it was concerning. Addressing it would only make the issue real.

“The ferris wheel is not far they’re probably around there.” Noah said, eyes glazing over and whatever smile he wore dropping from his face.

“Lead the way mi amigo.” Alejandro said and, Noah did. Although, he knew fully well who was really pulling the strings.

——————————————

The sun lowered in the sky as Noah and Alejandro walked around the square lined with street vendors and small shops.

Noah hadn’t said a word since the museum. Alejandro wondered why, maybe he slipped up and shared to much? Noah already suspected him of plotting maybe he had put two and two together. Manipulation was such a headache when the person already knew what was happening. It wasn’t like Alejandro wanted to hurt Noah but, he needed him gone if he was going to have any hope of winning.

“What a magnificent sight.” Alejandro said admiring the giant London Eye that stared down upon the city.

“Mhm..” Noah said looking bored.

The sight made Alejandro’s eye twitch. How was he bored they were in someone’s dream destination. Alejandro had a feeling that his sarcastic personality was simply a front but, that didn’t mean he had to put up with it.

That was when an idea sprang to mind. Maybe he could still salvage the day. He had one more chance to get the information he needed.

To confirm it anyways.

“While I see you’re enjoying looking around would you care for a bird’s-eye view?” Alejandro asked using all the tactics he had used on the others. His smile always got people to melt and, the second they let their guard down they were gone.

“I’ll pass… it’s clearly a giant tourist trap-not to mention its almost time to regroup..” Noah said looking conflicted.

“Nonsense it will only take a half hour- I insist.” Alejandro said involuntarily grabbing Noah’s hand and guiding him towards the ferris wheel. He wasn’t sure why exactly he had done that but, having him there hand in hand felt nice.

Too nice.

“I’m falling in love already..” Noah said sarcastically although Alejandro noticed he didn’t pull away until they stopped in front of the ticket booth.

“Why are you..” Noah began, trying to find the right words. He looked to be almost hesitant to finish his sentence.

Alejandro could figure out the rest.

‘Why are you being so friendly’

Alejandro tried to ignore the guilt he was feeling. It shouldn’t have even existed at all but, with Noah, Alejandro was struggling to work up the resolve to discover a weakness. When he did then what? He would have to exploit it. It was necessary he kept telling himself- he had come to win. Noah wouldn’t stand in the way of that.

“Never mind..” Noah said leaving everything Alejandro was thinking unsaid.

He needed to do this. He had to do this or he would be taking the plunge.

Alejandro knew he had one day, and one day only, before the game was back on. It was now or never before Heather would be back on his back and the rest of his team would be there to distract him.

“How many tickets?” The ticket salesmen asked, surprising Alejandro.

“Two…por favor” Alejandro said placing down a wad of cash on the counter and flashing a smile to recover from the sudden jolt.

“Where did you get that?” Noah asked as the person behind the counter began counting the money.

“Owen offered some to me after you disappeared.” Alejandro explained, smirk planted on his face as Noah tried not to look annoyed.

“Seriously.” Noah grumbled.

Alejandro chose not to respond and instead grabbed the two tickets, handing one to Noah.

“Vamos my friend the clock is ticking.” Alejandro said.

“Thanks...” Noah said looking uncomfortable for a moment. Alejandro noted the rose color of his cheeks as they both walked over to the giant fair attraction. An idea was forming in his head. One that he wasn’t sure he liked.

“After you.” Alejandro said politely as a cart slowed to a stop and the door opened. It was a rather nice cart with walls made out of glass and seats on both sides like a train cabin.

“Just get in....” Noah said looking skeptical.

Alejandro sighed and stepped into the cart. It was only fair given his track record.

The door shut carefully as Noah stepped on and the cabin began to move forward. They both moved to opposite ends of the space, glancing out the windows.

“What a nice view.” Noah said sarcastically, staring out at the machinery that moved the wheel forward.

“You’re so impatient my friend..” Alejandro said sitting down and putting his hands on his knees.

Noah didn’t respond. He simply frowned and took a seat across from Alejandro, eyes trying to avoid contact with him.

“I wonder what the others are doing?” Noah said avoiding Alejandro’s gaze.

“They are most likely sampling the local cuisine as I suggested...” Alejandro said keeping his voice light and friendly. Soon he would press him for information but, who said he couldn’t enjoy the peace for a moment.

“I bet he’s trying every variety of fish n’chips.. he wouldn’t stop talking about that on the ride over here.” Noah said carefully choosing his words.

The conversation after that fell stagnant. Alejandro wasn’t sure what to do, it was hard to start a fire when there wasn’t even a spark.

“Wow Chris wasn’t kidding about the pollution.” Noah said glancing out the window and down at the Thames. Below them was the giant plane they called home floating in the water as gasoline spilled into the river. Workers swarmed around the site attempting to contain the vehicles emissions.

“Maybe I should take a picture for Courtney’s lawsuit….” Noah said although his voice sounded forced- like he was trying to clear the air with a wise crack.

Alejandro considered finally asking questions. Maybe this time he would get something he could use even if the museum had been a waste. Sure, Alejandro hadn’t exactly planned to do something on their day off but, he had to take the initiative. Always be the strong one you can’t be caught weak or it’s over. Don’t let Noah seize the opportunity to plan his demise.

Noah had to go first. He had to. Alejandro knew that was true but, the guilt he was feeling made him hesitate. He didn’t want to be the one to facilitate it but, if it wasn’t him then who? This was what it took to win the million he had to tell himself that.

“Wow..” Noah said looking out the window as sunset streamed through the tinted glass. Just like that half their time was gone as he had been feeling conflicted.

“I guess the view is pretty nice.” He admitted, eyes lighting up as he looked down at the city of London

“I told you.” Alejandro said shaking off his feelings of unease. He stood up and walked over to where Noah was standing to get a better look. It really was quite amazing.

“For the record since I didn’t agree to this I’m blaming you if Chef suddenly has a violent streak when we get back.” Noah said turning away from the view.

“Well I suppose I did save you from him last time.” Alejandro said leaning in closer to rub the fact in his face. It was fun to tease him, besides if he got angry enough he might reveal something. It wasn’t that Alejandro enjoyed watching him think of a comeback, that would mean he had become enamored with him.

“Like I couldn’t have handled him I’ve been in more seasons of this show than you..” Noah said smugly.

“Yet somehow you managed to get eliminated so soon.” Alejandro chided, face inches away from Noah’s with a playful smirk on his lips.

“That’s not important..” he said, backing up with cheeks tinted pink. There it was again. It was a simple observation. The implications of it made a wave of guilt flood Alejandro all over again.

Could he really run with what was given to him?

“Are you alright my friend you look sick.” Alejandro teased hinting at his red face.

“I’m fine..” Noah said defensively noticing his reflection in the glass windows.

“Falling for my charms?” He said testing the waters. Maybe the simple approach was best- as long as he didn’t stop to think about it. It had worked on the girls so why would Noah be any different?

Thankfully, or unfortunately, Noah ended things before they had even begun.

“No..” he said backing away and turning back to face the view that was slowly fading from sight.

“I know what you’re doing.” Noah said trying to keep his voice light, although he still sounded flustered.

“I’ve ignored it..ignored Heather as she kept saying that you were trouble but, I can’t see any reason we’re even doing this if you don’t want me gone..it happened to Bridgette and Leshawna and now it’s going to happen to me too.” Noah said almost hesitant to finish the thought. It was out of character to see him voicing his suspicions so openly, maybe Alejandro had moved to fast? Perhaps he was growing rusty or Noah was simply smarter than he thought.

“I’m simply enjoying our day off from the competition..I thought you were doing the same?” Alejandro asked playing koi. The way Noah hesitated told Alejandro that he wasn’t 100% sure. If he could just make him doubt his suspicions then maybe he could still turn things in his favor.

But, did he even want that?

What made the mere thought of eliminating Noah so unfathomable. He was a threat and he needed to go- never mind that he was making Alejandro feel things with the way he smiled and how easily he was caught up in a subject. He hadn’t seen that side of him before the museum. It was like a part of Noah was closed off during the competition. The part that was full of life.

Noah’s eyes bore into Alejandro as he thought over what he said.

“With me?” He asked with doubt.

“You clearly wanted to get me alone so just tell me what you really want…I don’t feel like embarrassing myself again.” Noah said not elaborating even as his cheeks flamed. This was his fault ,he was attempting to toy with his feelings.

It was Noahs weakness. Alejandro had known that the second he reacted to his advances in the museum. Why was it all of a sudden so hard to exploit it?

That was when he realized that maybe it was a two way street. If Alejandro wanted to exploit Noah’s weakness he had to expose his own. He wasn’t sure he was ready for that.

“I don’t want anything from you my friend I’m not trying to-“ Alejandro protested, stopping his sentence mid way. He couldn’t address what was obvious to him. That would make what he was doing reality and confirm Noah’s suspicions. Besides that Noah would hate him if he knew. Maybe that was the wise option. Better to keep him out of reach than so tantalizing close that Alejandro was acting like a bumbling idiot trying to hide his attraction to him.

It was foolish to think that he could manipulate his feelings without involving his own.

“Don’t you want to enjoy this time before everyone becomes enemies again?” Alejandro asked knowing fully well how hypocritical his words sounded.

Noah exhaled and stared into Alejandro’s eyes. His unbreaking stare was intimidating only because Alejandro could see his own cold gaze staring back at him.

“Fine you’re right..” Noah said ending the moment by drawing his eyes away.

Alejandro’s gaze lingered like a whispered secret. Noah’s cold stare remained in his mind repeating like the steady rotation of the Ferris wheel.

“Sorry..” Noah said after a moment not looking at him.

“I think I’ve been on this show to long I’m used to Heather..” he said replacing his frown with a neutral expression . He sounded like he was trying to convince himself of the fact.

Alejandro nodded numbly.

“It’s understandable we haven’t talked and now we are spending the entire day together.” He said lightly.

So he had gotten away with overstepping his boundaries. It was a hollow victory.

“Yeah..I guess you aren’t terrible once you get past your face..” Noah chided.

“My face? That’s my most useful feature.” Alejandro said returning the smile flawlessly.

“Define useful..” Noah said.

Alejandro knew he should back off before Noah got suspicious all over again but, having light conversation with him was addictive.

This had to stop he had to find another way to get him booted off. One that wouldn’t leave him scrambling for control of his own actions.

It was the lesser of two options but, maybe opportunity would present itself.

Another one that is.

——————————————

The ferris wheel slowed to a stop and, the door opened. Noah stepped off feeling more confused than ever.

What was Alejandro’s game plan. His suspicions had started at the museum with the endless questions but, the way he kept trying to flirt with him made everything more confusing. Did he really think Noah would fall for something that obvious. Alejandro was nice to look at but, his personality left much to be desired.

Noah had confronted him but, before he even got the chance to get an answer Alejandro started playing defense. He was clearly trying something but, Noah had quickly realized that the head on approach wouldn’t work. That was the only reason he had backed off. He was just glad Alejandro seemed to brush off his accusations.

Maybe it was time that he told the others of his suspicions. Would they even believe him? He figured he would probably just sound like another Heather. Alejandro really was good at playing people.

Not to mention that Noah’s heart was still racing from the top of the ferris wheel. Alejandro had gotten a little to close. Noah realized that he was probably in denial. No one escaped Alejandro’s charm. Clearly. He had almost wanted to lean in and kiss him.

“Well thank you for an enjoyable experience.” Alejandro said sounding as cunning as ever.

“Yeah..” Noah responded half-heartedly. It was hard to put his all into a conversation when it seemed like every word that came out of Alejandro’s mouth had an alternative intent.

“We should probably find Owen and Tyler.” Noah said glancing up at a clock that hung on the metal scaffolding of the ferris wheel.

“Yes, perhaps we should backtrack I last saw them near the map stand..” Alejandro said beginning to weave through the crowd. Noah followed after him struggling to keep up as people kept bumping into him.

The light was fading fast as they finally arrived at a lone stand that had tourists gathered around it.

“This was a bad idea..” Noah said cynically seeing no one familiar.

“Nonsense we simply have to keep looking.” Alejandro said continuing onward and, leaving Noah scrambling to keep up.

“Could you wait five seconds?” Noah asked grabbing onto his wrist to stop his movement.

Alejandro turned back to stare at him with an apologetic smile. Noah could tell it was fake from a mile away.

“Apologies my friend I simply don’t want Chef to have our heads.” He said, a look of fear briefly crossing over his face.

“Right..” Noah said, eyes wandering away to avoid Alejandro’s gaze. That was when he saw a blur of red in the distance.

“Wait I think I see them over there..” Noah said narrowing his eyes.

They were all in a large group standing in front of the white fence that lined the cobbled wall that segregated each part of London from water.

“We must hurry.” Alejandro said picking up the pace.

Noah sighed and began trailing after him. Athletics weren’t his thing but, he knew better than to avoid them. He had learned that the hard way in the first season

“Wait is that Alejandro..and Noah..?” A voice called- Courtney.

“Apologies for are tardiness we were simply taking a quick ride on the ferris wheel.” He explained catching his breath as they arrived at the group.

“You didn’t have to tell anyone that..” Noah protested.

“Oh little buddy I’m so happy you’re okay sorry for ditching you!” Owen cried hugging him tightly

“You didn’t ditch me..” Noah said although his voice was muffled as his lungs were slowly crushed.

“Oh…you maggots are lucky….a minute later and you’d be running laps.” Chef said as Owen finally released Noah.

“Anyways as I was saying I hope you enjoyed your little sight seeing tour today as the competition is back on tomorrow...” Chef said to the rest of the group.

“Wait tomorrow..? What about the plane where are we staying?” Cody asked finally freeing himself from Sierras grasp. He looked like he hadn’t left her side since the plane crashed.

“We rented out a room for the night and you will be thankful for it!” Chef demanded.

“Uh room..?” Noah asked.

“Did I stutter?” He barked.

“No..but, there are nine of us-“ Noah said stating the obvious. He wasn’t trying to enrage Chef but, he was tired and didn’t feel like dealing with the shows wacky shenanigans. Dealing with Alejandro all day was tiring enough. Was a million dollars worth it?

“I am not sleeping with you losers..” Heather huffed crossing her arms with a scowl set in her face.

“Oh I don’t know maybe it could be fun like one big sleepover..?” Gwen suggested.

“Or uh maybe not..” she said after the rest of Team Amazon turned to glare at her.

“What about all our stuff it’s all back on the plane!” Heather said, bunching up her fists in a fit of annoyance.

“I’m sure you’ll live now line up so I can take role!” Chef commanded throwing on his sunglasses and pulling out a clipboard.

“Again there’s nine of us we’re all here..” Noah said bluntly.

“Get in the damn line before I give you a taste of my unlimited power.” Chef said grinning like a crazed maniac.

Noah looked confused for a moment before Courtney interrupted his thoughts.

“Chris gave him full authority of us while he deals with the plane..” she explained with both hands on her hips. A downside of missing the first half of the dinning hall meeting was that he was apparently out of the loop.

“How lovely.” Noah muttered.

“Now you will all walk in a single file line until we arrive at are quarters do you hear me?” Chef said.

“Yes..” they all droned, energy draining from their voices as Chef began to walk forward.

“And just like that one day gone..” Cody sighed as Sierra hovered behind him.

“I didn’t even get any peace she wouldn’t leave me alone .” He lamented behind Noah.

“Sounds familiar maybe you should talk to Gwen about it?” Noah responded apathetically. Why was Cody even talking to him they had never really interacted before. At least not in a way Noah cared to remember.

“I know..I know but, I’ve apologized to her I understand now I’ll back off..but I never would have gone as far as Sierra man I mean she’s crazy ..I can’t even go to the bathroom without her..” Cody whispered so Sierra couldn’t eavesdrop.

“Maybe it’s karma..” Noah suggested only half listening as his eyes remained glued to the person in front of him.

“Some karma..I think I’ve paid enough.. what more can I do?”Cody asked sighing. He paused for a moment.

“She stole my first kiss..” he finally admitted.

“Well..I guess not technically but-“ he began before Noah turned around, suddenly aware of his words. Of course it didn’t even take five seconds for him to bring it up.

“Please can you stop talking I don’t care..” Noah snapped, voicing his thoughts.

Cody swallowed hard and nodded.

“Sorry dude..I didn’t mean-“ he began fumbling his words.

“Just stop.” Noah said taking a breath.

“Okay..” Cody said drawing silent as their footsteps echoed down the cobbled street.

Noah crossed his arms and stared forward. He didn’t think, he just felt his anger and annoyance bubble under the surface.

Total Drama was a stupid idea.

Why was it that he had still gone on it twice?

——————————————

Owen’s snores echoed around the one room they all shared. Alejandro felt his eye twitch in annoyance every time he heard the sound.

How were they expected to sleep in these conditions it was outrageous. Maybe taking a page out of Courtney’s book and suing them wasn’t a bad idea. Only he wanted to win and getting on Chris’ bad side wasn’t paramount to his victory.

Alejandro sat up and let the blanket that were covering him fall to the floor. He tried not to think about how dirty the floor was as he glanced around.

Everyone was peaceful sleeping, Heather and Courtney sleeping in the one bed the room had to offer and everyone else spread out across the ground in various positions of discomfort. One person in particular caught his eye.

Noah. He was laying in the chair provided by the room, neck hanging to the side and his body propped up at a weird angle that couldn’t have been comfortable. His blanket had long sense fallen and the pillow he had was clutched in his grasp. Alejandro wondered vaguely why he had chosen the chair and not the various open spots on the floor.

As another snore cut through the room Alejandro stood up and narrowed his eyes at Owens sleeping form.

“Can you be quiet?” He asked to an empty audience.

Empty being a loose term.

“Be grateful you aren’t crushed under him..” Noah said groaning as he stretched out his limbs.

“I assume you know from personal experience?” Alejandro said with a small smirk.

“I would prefer not to relive that..” Noah deadpanned setting up his pillow on the chairs armrest and, leaning back onto it uncomfortably.

“I think I’m suing Chris if I get back pain later in life.” Noah said staring up at the ceiling and dangling his legs over the side of the chair.

“Why don’t you sleep on the floor then there’s plenty of space.” Alejandro asked sitting back down and remaking his makeshift bed that required most of the extra pillows in the room.

“I…uh..” He began looking conflicted.

“I’d rather not touch the floor ...” Noah said sounding like he hadn’t paused to think about it.

“I see..I share your sentiments my friend.” Alejandro said crinkling his brow as his hand touched a wet spot on the motel carpet.

“You know I never thought I would end up in a motel in London during this show but, here we are..” Noah said sounding annoyed.

“Besides that for eight of us there’s no reason to be doing this..it will all be for nothing..” Noah said.

“Well I suppose you are correct but, someone has to win.” Alejandro said. He did. He had to win. If only to prove to Jose that he was better than him.

“Yeah sure..makes it hard to really care about anyone..” he said sounding genuine.

“That’s why it’s for the best to not get to close..” Alejandro said knowing full well what they were referring to. It was for the best that his plans changed. He would have more opportunities as the game progressed that didn’t involve him becoming vulnerable. After all, Harold had been eliminated as the opportunity had presented itself why couldn’t he simply replicate that when the time came.

“Yeah..” Noah said, eyes glancing over at Alejandro’s. There was a look of longing in them, one that Alejandro knew he shared.

For a moment he hesitated, considered maybe pursing Noah with no alternative intention.. Then he was back in reality, berated by the numerous thoughts that told him it was a bad idea. That was a fantasy and acting upon it was beyond foolish. He wanted to win and sacrifices had to be made.

“Hey thanks..for the ride..I wouldn’t have gone on my own” Noah said genuinely.

“It was nice..something I’ll probably never see again.”

“What about if you win the million..?” Alejandro asked knowing that he would never let it happen.

“I wouldn’t travel with it..I’d pay for college and give some to my family I guess..” Noah said.

“That’s very admirable.” Alejandro said laying back down and stretching out around the space.

“No..it’s just what I should do.” He said bluntly.

“Well what do you want to do with it?” Alejandro questioned wondering why he was still talking to Noah. Didn’t he just establish that he would be keeping his distance and repressing the urge to kiss him.

“Get away from everything..spend all my time in a library..” he said spitballing ideas as crickets chirped in the distance.

“I don’t know what exactly they expect a bunch of 16 year olds to do with the money.” Noah deadpanned.

“Of course they expect us to spend it responsibly and invest in our future.” Alejandro said trying to keep his face serious.

Noah tried to suppress a laugh.

The sound filled Alejandro with happiness. He let himself enjoy the moment they shared before Owen began to stir across the room.

“Chocolates? No I’m in a submarine I’m okay..” he muttered.

“That was close.” Noah said with a small smile.

“Well I’m going back to sleep before Owen decides that I would make a good pillow..” Noah said cutting off the conversation before it even began.

“Well Goodnight mi amigo..” Alejandro said covering himself with a blanket and wishing once again that he could ever be something more than a friend to him.

——————————————

“Thank you all for joining me..the plane is back in commission so we will be leaving tonight but, first things first it’s challenge time!” Chris said looking way to excited as they all stood in the plane’s mess hall.

Everyone groaned at Chris’ words. It seemed like no one had gotten a good nights sleep other than Heather and Courtney who both looked ready to win whatever sadistic challenge Chris was about to throw at them.

Noah was glad that the plane was finally fixed as he horribly regretted the things he said in his half awake state the night prior.

Why had he told Alejandro those things- they were personal, something he would never reveal to anybody and, yet he had said them to the most dangerous person in the competition. How stupid why hadn’t he just ignored Alejandro- that would have been a smarter play.

Regardless it was over and he had to focus on the challenge. He had made up his mind after waking up with a knot in his neck. He had to tell Owen and Tyler about Alejandro before the slippery eel could eliminate him. Then and only then would he have a chance at winning.

The only question was when to do so. Alejandro was always around acting overly friendly to keep everyone on his side. How could he get either of them alone?

As he began thinking of different methods Heather suddenly cried out.

“Wait where’s Alejandro?” She questioned.

“Oh no Al’s missing!” Owen said.

“Huh that’s strange well I’m sure he’ll be around.” Chris said with a relaxed look on his face.

Noah had a sneaking suspicion that what was supposed to happen the first time around was simply happening again.

Alejandro being locked in a closet sounded like a perfect opportunity to reveal his true nature to the others. We’re things actually working in his favor?

“Now ignoring that interruption.. in todays challenge you will be tasked with solving one of Londons most notorious crimes!” Chris announced.

“You mean Jack the Ripper?” Gwen asked.

“Bingo follow the clues and figure things out..I will guide you to your first hint once you arrive..” Chris explained.

“Arrive where?” Noah asked.

“I’m glad you asked Noah!”

“This challenge will take start at none other than the Tower of London, famous for the queen’s jewels and bloody executions.” Chris said.

“Now I would normally drop you out of the plane right now but, since we are still refueling you’ll just have to walk..bummer for ratings but, good for you guys!” Chris said.

“Anyways good luck you’ll need it..” he said with a devilish grin on his face.

“That’s promising.” Courtney said.

Noah drew a smile to his face. With Alejandro gone he could take charge. They were winning this challenge if he had anything to say about it.

“Come on let’s go get the first clue.” Noah said to the rest of his team.

“What about Al he’s gone..do you think we’ll disappear as well?” Owen asked frantically.

“He’s fine we have to hurry or Team Amazon will beat us there.” Noah said.

Although he knew that was the case somewhere in the back of his mind he was worried. Worried that maybe something would happen or something was happening to Alejandro. It was irrational and yet it made him hesitate devoting all his energy to wining.

Alejandro had messed with him and he had fallen for it.

There was no denying it anymore.

That only made him all the more determined.

He wouldn’t be the next Bridgette or Leshawna.

Not without a fight.

——————————————

Noah felt his stomach drop as the footage played back on the screen. So much for his resolve.

“You can’t trust him he’s slipperier than an eel dipped in grease swimming in motor oil.” Noah explained to Owen as Tyler was stretched out on the torture rack.

“Oh I don’t know..Al? But, he’s so nice.” Owen said as Tyler began to sweat from the machines strain.

“Trust me he already got rid of Team Victory..I can’t prove anything but, I know he had something to do with it.” Noah said with a furrowed brow.

“Okay if you’re sure I believe you!” Owen whispered to Noah holding a thumbs up.

“Should we tell Tyler?” Owen questioned, trying and failing to be incognito.

“I’m going to tell him later but, with Al gone we might have a chance of making it to the finale.” Noah explained.

“I can’t believe that Al isn’t who he seems..” Owen said as the clue finally revealed itself.

“Hey are you okay..?” Noah asked as Tyler slowly rose off the rack.

“Great man I do yoga remember.” He said, face wrinkled up in pain as the screen faded to black.

Alejandro narrowed his eyes at Noah.

Noah gave him a hesitant grin. He had screwed up. How could he have been so stupid of course Chris would be recording everything.

“I’m hurt that you would think so lowly of me..” Alejandro commented clearly trying to garner sympathy.

“That’s pretty messed up.” Duncan said crossing his arms with a frown on his face. What did he know he hadn’t had to ride a ferris wheel with Alejandro or deal with an endless game of twenty questions at the museum.

Noah knew he was screwed when there team got a new member for Alejandro to toy with but, it only got worse with the footage.

“Well now that that’s done with get your passports stamped and make your way to the elimination room!” Chris said cheerfully. Of course he was happy, drama always boosted the ratings.

Noah sighed. He had fumbled the ball. He should have revealed his suspicions a long time ago and now Owen would be next unless someone on team Amazon screwed up.

“Damnit.” He said as they all lined up outside of the confessionals.

Nothing had changed.

Nothing at all.

——————————————

Alejandro sat on the bleachers with a large grin. It was fairly obvious who would be going home

Duncan was the wild card he needed. Not to mention that Noah’s plan had backfired. It was all going flawlessly but, Alejandro still wished hadn’t

He liked Noah in the strongest sense of the word. That was why he had to go. He couldn’t reward those feelings like he had the night prior and, he couldn’t let his guard down wishing that Noah would feel the same way. This was a reality show and relationships never lasted. Besides when he was a millionaire he would forget all about this little slip up.

Jose wouldn’t but, Alejandro knew that winning the money would be more than enough to rub his superiority in his brothers face. And Noah’s too. Why did everything have to resort back to him.

“Alright campers..or should I say contestants you tried hard and yet somehow still failed..that must suck but, now it’s time for one of you to take the drop of shame now that we’re back in the sky.” Chris explained gathering up the barf bags.

“Now the people that are safe include-“

“Tyler-“ Chris began tossing a bag to him. He reached up to catch it only to wince in pain and completely miss the bag.

“Sorry dude maybe I lied about the yoga..” he admitted reaching behind him and collecting his prize.

“Duncan!” Chris continued throwing a bag to him.

“Gee thanks..” he said sarcastically looking annoyed that he wasn’t in some night club in London.

“And Owen!” Chris said chucking the bag at him.

“Hey thanks!” He said munching on the bags contents.

Everything was going perfectly.

Except he still felt that same longing.

Noah was going to disappear and he didn’t want that.

Somehow his weakness was still revealing itself and, he had to get rid of it.

An idea popped to mind, almost like an intrusive thought.

Jose would have a field day once he saw.
——————————————

Noah took a breath.

This was it his run in the competition. What a legacy he had left behind. How had he ever thought he had a shot. There was always someone more determined or more athletic who could steal the crown.

He had been beaten in both categories.

“Now the final bag goes to..” Chris began trying to leave the audience hanging in anticipation.

“Just spit it out..” Noah said no longer hiding his annoyance at having to sit though another elimination ceremony where the unlucky party was obvious.

“You made me loose my flow..” Chris said with a frown.

“Ahem as I was saying before being rudely interrupted the last inflight bag goes to none other than…”

“Alejandro!” Chris said under handing the bag, allowing Alejandro to catch it with ease.

What a surprise Noah thought bitterly. Maybe he was just sour because Alejandro had played him same as all the others.

“I hope you all know by now who you’re dealing with..beware of eels..” Noah warned feeling anger swell in his chest. Sure he was mad at what Alejandro had done but, all it was was straight forward manipulation. Unlike what he had tried during their day off.

If he was leaving he might as well get a straight answer.

Noah turned to Alejandro with daggers in his eyes.

“What would you have done if I didn’t mess up..?” He began as the wind began to blow his hair every which way. Chef was trying to rush him.

“Would you have really tried to mess with my feelings like the others..are you really that sociopathic!?” Noah asked nearly screaming to fight against the sound of the wind.

His words made Alejandro’s expression dim.

“No.” He said clearly.

“I simply took the opportunity that was presented to me” he said clearly in denial.

“I doubt that.” Noah said bluntly.

“Man maybe this show isn’t so bad after all..I don’t understand what the hell’s happening but, I need to see how this ends.” Duncan said chewing on his peanuts and leaning in closer to hear them.

“For the record I’m glad I’m about to jump out of this plane because then I won’t have to put up with you anymore!” He said ,voice growing louder and louder as his tone stayed neutral. Chris wasn’t moving to push him out of the plane which meant that he liked what he heard. Noah didn’t care about that at the moment.

Alejandro stood up and walked closer to him. .

“You’re lucky I couldn’t follow through with it..it’s your fault I couldn’t seduce you.” He said leaning in closer so the others couldn’t hear him. His eyebrows were furrowed like he was more conflicted than angry.

“Just stop I’m not even in the competition anymore..” Noah said feeling his cheeks warm.

“It’s not intentional..” Alejandro said looking surprised for a split second.

He took a deep breath before he spoke.

“You deserve to know..I had to eliminate you..” Alejandro explained.

“Because I suspected you yes I get it..” Noah whispered.

“Yes..but, that’s not the only reason.” Alejandro said not backing down.

“You were distracting me..you would have revealed my weakness but, I can’t let you leave without saying so..” Alejandro said sounding pained.

“I am in love with you.” He said looking annoyed at the fact.

“I don’t understand what’s the angle..?” Noah asked stepping back towards the planes exit as his heart began to race.

“Nothing I simple wanted to confess as you will be the only one to ever hear it.” He said gesturing to the roaring wind that made any eavesdropping impossible.

“Well if you weren’t such an eel I would be flattered.” Noah deadpanned trying not to feel hopeful.

“If you’re so flattered then prove it ..” Alejandro said egging him on. He looked hesitant yet he stood firm.

Noah knew from the moment he suggested it that he shouldn’t entertain Alejandro- then he would get everything he wanted-but, why would it matter. Noah wanted it too and after it happened he was gone. No more drama and no more Alejandro.

Noah reached for the parachute Chef held in his hand.

“I hope you loose.” Noah said bitterly before leaning up and kissing him. It was different than he imagined it. Not that he would have told anyone that it was his first real kiss. The feeling itself was strange but, the happy feeling that flowed through his body made him want to keep going. His grip on the parachute loosened as he relaxed his body. Maybe he had been wanting to kiss him for a while, especially on the ferris wheel. He may have resisted then but, now he couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Noah suddenly felt the wind on the back of his neck once again. He pulled away feeling dazed as he slung the parachute over his back.

“Thank you.” Alejandro said sincerely before Noah fell backwards.

This would be like Cody all over again.

Yet this time he didn’t feel dread. He had enjoyed it. So what if he got made fun of for it. In the end he had made the decision.

Noah cringed as he pictured some of the fan art that would be drawn after the episode was released.

“Screw you Chris.” Noah called out as he activated his parachute.

Maybe he would catch up on total drama when he got back to Canada. If only to watch Alejandro crash and burn.

He would take joy in that fact.

——————————————

Alejandro tried to suppress the smile growing on his face. He had made a stupid mistake and exposed his weakness but, it was hard to feel bad about it when he felt so happy.

Now that Noah was gone he had to get things under control. One kiss should have satisfied his romantic feelings. No more distractions he was here to win and no one else would stand in his way.

Yet there was no reason he couldn’t cherish the memories of Noah that bounced around in his head.

How he laughed, his amusing cynicism and, most importantly their conversation on the Ferris Wheel were his eyes shined so bright that Alejandro could see London reflected in them.

He had seen London in his eyes and that was the one sight he knew he would never see again.
